Hated cold but ended traveling to Harbin

During my December 2022 visit to Snow Village in Harbin City, China, I was mesmerized by the beauty as I drove there, even though I’m not a fan of cold weather. Despite the language barrier—my Chinese is limited to “Ni Hao” and “Xie Xie”—my taxi driver was helpful and recommended the Frosty Pine Hotel, where I stayed. The highlight of the trip was undoubtedly the horse sliding experience just outside the village. Riding across the icy expanse with a vast snowy backdrop was an exhilarating adventure I won’t forget.
