a town that inspired Spirited Away 🎥🏮

I went to Taipei earlier this summer and didn’t want to just stay within Taipei City, so I decided to hire a driver to drive us around the outskirts of Taipei, and Jiufen is the third stop. Jiufen is up on a hill so there’s quite a bit of stairs and slope. The movie Spirited Away was inspired by Jiufen so a lot of souvenir shops sell Spirited Away merchandise, it is definitely worth a visit if you are a fan. Jiufen is not difficult to manoeuvre as it is just one main street. We went for the taro balls soup at 阿柑姨 (see last pic) as recommended by the driver and it did not disappoint!!
