Bodhisattvas favor this place/Ta Gong Temple gazes upon the Yala Snow Mountain

Legend has it that Princess Wencheng passed through here on her way to Tibet, and a statue was made in imitation of the one she brought to Lhasa, which was left for worship in the temple. Later, Songtsen Gampo issued a decree to build 108 temples facing the Han region, and Ta Gong Temple is the last and perfect 108th among these temples. It is said that several years after the completion of Ta Gong Temple, an Indian high monk came to re-consecrate the temple with a blessing ceremony, during which bodhisattvas appeared and praises of 'Ta Gong, Ta Gong' were heard from the sky, henceforth the name Ta Gong became associated with the temple. Ta Gong Temple consists of the Mahavira Hall, the Buddha Lying Hall, the Patriarch Hall, and other structures, forming a massive architectural complex. The main buildings are a combination of Han and Tibetan styles, with Han-style hip-and-gable roofs on top and Tibetan-style stone walls at the bottom. Beside the temple's main hall, there is a pagoda forest composed of 108 Tibetan Buddhist stupas, among which the Eastern White Pagoda, Southern Yellow Pagoda, Western Red Pagoda, and Northern Green Pagoda are particularly eye-catching.
