Xinghui Temple, the birthplace of Xu Fu

Xinghui Temple is located in Jinshan Town, Ganyu District, Lianyungang City, Jiangsu Province, at the birthplace of Xu Fu. According to historical records, after Xu Fu sailed east and did not return, the locals built a temple to commemorate him and pray in due time. During the Xining period of the Song Dynasty, it was renamed Xinghui Temple, and temple fairs began to be held. Its popularity for incense offerings became well-known in northern Jiangsu, attracting a large number of fishermen and Buddhist devotees to come for worship, with pilgrims coming and going continuously. Over the years, the temple buildings of Xinghui Temple were all destroyed. Since 2010, the rebuilt Xinghui Zen Temple covers an area of 45 mu, with a construction area of 33,120 square meters.
