Confucius Monastery and Buddha Temple Hunan

#Liuyang #hunan The front of the entrance to the temple inscription translates “The Buddha welcomes all” or “All are welcome”. This beautiful place of spiritual reflection is located just between Changsha and Liuyang in the higher elevations. The reflection pool is also of “holy water” for one to symbolically cleanse themselves in purity. There are two levels, hence the two different statues of the Boddha. The first statue is of stone as to make temple merit to be grounded in spirit and humanity. The second standing Boddha represents the level of study to achieve enlightenment, with making merit for successful journeys and endeavors.
