Mohe three-day two-night trip

Upon arriving in Harbin, naturally, one must visit Mohe. In mid-March, catch the last bit of snow, with the weather forecast predicting temperatures between -20 and 0 degrees Celsius. It still feels very cold in the morning and evening, so gloves and hats are necessary, and the wind can be painfully cold. Itinerary 🌟 Longjiang First Bay Scenic Area (admission 50 + sightseeing car 60) It takes about 2 hours to reach the scenic area from Mohe Station, which is a combination of a forest park and the Heilongjiang river beach. The sightseeing car first goes to the northernmost point of China for a photo op, then continues on to the Wusuli Shoal where you disembark. Climb over a thousand steps on a wooden walkway to reach the viewing platform, then take the sightseeing car back to the entrance of the scenic area. Climbing the wooden walkway is quite strenuous. 🌟 Beihong Village It only takes half an hour to get from the First Bay to Beihong Village, and these two places are usually arranged on the same day. The village is very small with one main road and other than that, large fields scattered with some residential houses. The villagers mostly live in their own homes which also serve as guesthouses; the conditions are average. During this trip, we played with ice splashing and horse-drawn sleds; the horses belong to the guesthouse owners. We also ate there, and it must be even more beautiful when it snows heavily. Walking in the fields or along the river is very peaceful and comfortable. 🌟 Nvjiawan (Birch Forest) On the way from Beihong Village to the Arctic Village, there is a birch forest. Walking into it, a small path leads to an environmental platform and a hillside. The combination of birch forest and snow is truly stunning! It's very suitable for taking photos and playing. 🌟 Arctic Village (admission 68) The most comprehensive scenic area in Mohe, an hour away from the county town. Inside, there are walking wooden paths, parks, and squares with ice sculptures and various 'north' characters, as well as landmarks like the 'I found the north' stone monument; China's northernmost post office/bank/***; the first sentry post of China's northern border. There are also various specialty restaurants, but in my opinion, the taste and price can't compare with Harbin. If you're going to Harbin, I suggest having a simple meal here. I had a spicy hot pot from Sister Hua which was not bad, but many shops are closed during the off-season. 🌟 Ewenki Reindeer Tribe The tour fee included the admission ticket, and I couldn't find the online ticket price. There are dozens of reindeer inside, and they prefer carrots (10 yuan)! Some of the reindeer are very lively and will chase you for food, and I had a lot of fun here. 🌟 Mohe County Town The North Star Square is very small, just a marker and stairs. Songyuan Park in the city is a forest that is said to be the only area left from a past fire. Mohe Dance Hall is particularly small with an admission of 20. The Fire Memorial is not open in winter, so I didn't see it. There's not much to do in the county town; it has the dilapidation of a city area and the dullness of a city, haha. Overall, the three-day itinerary is very fulfilling! Walking through the birch forest and fields in the heavy snow in Mohe is an unforgettable experience, and it's definitely worth a visit 🌟
