When traveling to Tokyo, aside from using Narita Airport for arrival and departure, Narita City itself is a small but charming place worth visiting if you have the time. Especially before heading home, consider staying a day in Narita City. Not only is accommodation cheaper than in Tokyo, but it also saves you the rush to the airport. You can also take the opportunity to visit nearby Aeon and Donki for some last-minute shopping. Moreover, you can enjoy a stroll in the beautiful Narita Park within the city. I visited last autumn and the fall foliage was quite impressive. It's worth considering a visit.
