Serene Buddhist Temple in Hangzhou

#historicplaces I was busy browsing places to visit in the city when I saw pictures of this temple. I was surprised that my friend and I were among the very few tourists there. The temple dates back to 1000 years with occasional restoration in the past years. The atmosphere is peaceful & calm. The outside was beautifully decorated with lanterns. There’s still a Buddhist monastery, so be ready to see monks walking around.
