A 2-day getaway to Ngwe Saung Beach 🏝️

Getting there from Yangon takes only about 6 hours with the bus. It is typically not recommended to take other forms of transportation as they are not as convenient. You will pass by Pathein city on the way, it’s recommended to make a stop there to try the local cuisine! The beach has an island that you can visit only while the tide is low. A path will appear to visit “Chit Thu Kyoon” translated to lover’s island, when the tide rises again - the path will close off. The locals have a folktale about a mermaid and human’s love story. The beach also have fun activities for you to go on a yacht & scuba dive for less than $50 also! They also have banana boats, parasailing, etc. Most of all, the seafood there is dirt cheap!! Try out the lobsters for less than $10.
