Hehe, hello my friends, I'm here! 👋 Today I want to recommend a niche but super charming travel destination—Pingyao Ancient City! 🏰 Let's start our journey through time together! 🎒Let's talk about the first day's itinerary. We hopped on a train from Taiyuan Station and headed straight for Pingyao Station (make sure not to get off at Pingyao Ancient City Station, haha), then it's just a ten-minute walk to the Xiximen (West Gate) of the ancient city, no need for a taxi! Don't forget to scan the QR code to buy tickets before entering the scenic area. There's a discount for students, 65 yuan for access to 22 attractions, valid for three days, but you can only visit each attraction once! 🍜Speaking of food, our first meal was at 'Dongji Fried Bowl Set', only 23 yuan per person! We ordered a ham fried bowl set, sweet oil tea, and pan-fried buns. A little warm tip: the bowl set tastes even better with vinegar on top! And that sweet oil tea, my first time trying it, was an amazing surprise! 📸How can you come to Pingyao and not experience the fun of transforming into a Jin merchant's daughter? Makeup and photography for just 199 yuan, I felt so beautiful! In the evening, we chose 'Lao Zhao's Copper Hot Pot', 50 yuan per person. The two of us girls ordered a small pot and were totally stuffed, especially with the secret dipping sauce, it was incredibly delicious! We went back to the hotel to sleep at night, choosing an inn very close to Nan Dajie (South Street). The room was clean and spacious, the owner was super nice, and even helped us buy tickets for 'See Pingyao Again'! 🎭On the second day, we continued to explore this beautiful ancient city. The city tower, county government office, Rishengchang, and the armed escort agencies... each place was astonishing. Especially the Ma Family Courtyard, not only does it have a profound historical and cultural heritage, but they also gave me a bookmark as a souvenir, so thoughtful! The City God Temple is also a must-visit, praying for safety and prosperity for oneself and family. 🎫In the evening, we went to see the performance 'See Pingyao Again', 218 yuan per person, lasting 1.5 hours. The scenes, the story, absolutely incredible! A reminder for everyone, try not to sit in the front row during the face-changing act, otherwise you might get covered in flour! 🍋On the last day, of course, we couldn't miss out on the delicious food. 'Mr. Liang's Handmade Yogurt' with aged vinegar and sea buckthorn flavors became my new favorite! Sour and sweet, just like me!
