Over Century Lighthouse
#timetotravel
Bruny Island Lighthouse or Cape Bruny Lighthouse, Bruny Island, Tasmania, Australia, was built in 1836, with a height of 114 metre, best spectacular view of Cape Bruny and its coastline and surrounding from above.
It was commissioned after a series of shipwrecks off the Southern Tasmania coast.
The first lit was in 1838 until recent changed of solar powered light in 1996. It’s the only Southern Tasmanian Lighthouse opened for tours. #brunyisland #lighthouse #tasmania #australia #passionpassport #tripblazers #mytripvlog#境外遊 #yuppijeinbrunyisland2018 #yuppijeintasmania2018 #urbanexplorer #yuppijeinaustralia2018
Not Just An Average Bistro
#timetotravel
Bruny Bistro in Bruny Hotel at Alonnah, Bruny Island, Tasmania, Australia.
Believe in local food, locally sourced, produce at the premise. Using local premium products, fantastic service, serving hot Bruny Island cider in winter and cold local beer in summer.
Daily catch mostly fish or salmon dish from the menu are the best choice plus a cold local beer recommended. #brunybistro #brunyisland #tasmania #australia #passionpassport #境外遊 #tripblazers #mytripvlog #urbanexplorer #yuppijetrip2018 #yuppijeinbrunyisland2018 #yuppijeintasmaniain2018 #yuppijeinaustralia2018
"World's Best Travel Destination" Tasmania is truly beautiful.
In this lifetime, we must visit Tasmania! A pure little island at the end of the world, with beautiful mountains, rivers, lakes, and seas, free and romantic; natural grasslands, and isolated islands. Coming here to appreciate nature and listen to our hearts is really a good choice.
Preparation before departure
For flights to Tasmania within Australia, you can bring cosmetics, lighters, and other daily necessities containing liquids with you. Please bring toiletries such as toothbrushes and toothpaste. According to relevant Tasmanian regulations, please do not bring vegetables, fruits, or seafood products to the island!
Take measures to keep warm. Although Tasmania has entered spring, there is still a large temperature difference between morning and evening, and the wind on the hills of Wellington is still strong.
Don't worry too much about encountering rainy weather during your travels, as the weather on Tar Island is known for its variability. The clouds will soon disperse and the rain will stop.
Daily traffic:
Plane: Arrive at Hobart Airport and take the airport shuttle bus to the hotel (or use the airport pick-up service provided by the tour group).
Friends in Melbourne can choose the Spirit of Tasmania cruise in addition to flying, sleep on board overnight, and arrive the next morning.
. Self-driving: Not recommended. Tasmania's terrain is winding and can be challenging for unfamiliar drivers. Choose carefully.
One car: It's more cost-effective to travel with multiple people, and local drivers and tour guides are provided. The price is higher, but the itinerary is flexible.
Join a tour: worry-free, cost-effective, led by a professional team for safe and reliable experience.
Group ticket includes: Bruny Island ferry / Wineglass Bay / Freycinet National Park.
Arthur Port ticket: $47/adult, student ticket is $38/person.
(To buy student tickets in Arthur Harbor, both student ID and COE are accepted, or you can log in to the personal page of the school website. The most convenient way is to use the student ID, and an electronic version of the COE is sufficient.)

Bruny Island
Bruny Island feels like a condensed taste of Tasmania at large, with some stunning lookouts, nice stretches of beach, several short hikes, rainforests, a bunch of different locally produced food on offer, and a mix of native and farm animals dotted around. The one local albino wallaby I spotted was a bit camera shy, taking off before I could snap a shot. I also had to brave intermittent wind, rain, and even hail on the day I visited, which made it more difficult to fully enjoy some of the experiences. Probably worth gauging the weather before making plans to visit, and definitely recommended to visit in summer if possible.

Sailing Through Time - Cape Bruny Lighthouse
#2024wish
Another place that I wish to revisit is Cape Bruny Lighthouse in Tasmania. This iconic beacon isn't just a tourist magnet for its breathtaking views; it's a living testament to a culturally rich history.
Commissioned in 1835 following a string of shipwrecks around Bruny Island, the Cape Bruny Lighthouse was completed and lit in 1838. Its powerful glow, visible for an impressive 26 nautical miles, became a guiding star for countless ships navigating the treacherous waters. Fun fact: among all of Australia's lighthouses, Cape Bruny holds the title of being the longest continuously manned lighthouse until its decommissioning in 1996.
Our adventure unfolded on a full-day Tasmanian tour, visiting not just the lighthouse but also the scenic Two Tree Point beach. Here, we indulged in fresh oysters and wine with the beautiful sea as a backdrop. Following after, we went for a beer tasting session where we tasted beers produced in Australia and Tasmania. The beer that we eventually bought back was the Bruny Island beer, made with locally grown fresh ingredients.
Our experience in Tasmania is amazing and I wish to go back again in 2024!

This hotel was great for a weekend staycation, especially its is within walking distance to Salamanca Saturday market! It located at the quiet part of the Hobart city but yet walking distance to all the attractions spot!
Staff were super friendly and they really doing a great job maintaining the property, it’s clean and give you a young vibe! The bathroom was a real surprise with a fab rain shower and wall mounted shower, great for a hot shower after a day out!
The restaurant bar was fun and modern and we do have our breakfast there, the variety is ok but food does taste good! Would definitely stay again next trip we come to Hobart.

Beautiful WineGlass Bay
A very beautiful lookout would be the wineglass Bay located at freycinet national Park.
Wineglass bay is popular due to its red and pink granite formation of rocks and it is also voted by several travel authorities one of the best beaches in the entire world.
The hike will not be an easy one as it is a constant upslope and you definitely will work up a sweat in order to get to the lookout, but it will definitely be a very very rewarding one. This is all about taking your time and eventually you will get to the top!
The entire walk will take you a good 1.5 - 2hrs as it is approx 6km round trip.
There is also an additional hike down to the beach and it isn't an easy one too as you know what goes down must come up. But again, the hike down to the beach will be a breathtaking and be rewarded with an amazing view of the white sandy beaches.

Great views at every turn
The view at Wineglass Bay lookout is simply breathtaking! I stand in awe of what Mother Nature has created. It took me 40mins to hike up to the lookout from the car park. There was some elevation and steep slopes on the way up but the views along the way made up for it.
There are a few hiking trails around Wineglass Bay. I did the one that brought me to Suicide Beach, it was a 2.5hr hike. The track is very well maintained. Relatively easy hike apart from the steep downhill steps at one stretch. Saw a few furry friends along the way too :)

Tasmania Wineglass Bay Hike
Wineglass Bay Lookout is a 3km return hike located in Freycinet National Park Tasmania. The closest town is Coles Bay, where we were staying for 2 nights.
Of course, there are much more to do than a simple walk around Wineglass Bay. You can do a short 10 minutes walk, 2 hours walk, half a day walk, kayaking, overnight walk, scenic drive, rock climbing, fishing etc. The hike to the national park is not free. There’s a self-paying box outside the park. We put in $24 per car (up to 8 people).
We did a 1.5 hours return walk to Wineglass Bay Lookout. The track is fairly easy with the steep uphill walk on a rocky, well-constructed track within the Freycinet National Park.#infinitypool #staycation #奢华酒店 #beachlife #themepark
