The niche garden hidden behind the mall - Yi Garden gave me quite a few surprises

There are many famous gardens in Suzhou, and I've visited many of them. This time, I had a two-hour gap with nowhere to go, so I chose to take a stroll in Yi Garden. But unexpectedly, it gave me quite a few surprises. There are very few people here, and I observed that not many locals come here either, making it quite tranquil. The east side is mainly architectural, with nothing particularly interesting. After finishing my walk, I thought that was it. Unexpectedly, when I turned to the west side, it suddenly opened up, with mountains and water, lotus flowers in full bloom in the water, and the shady and refreshing forest. I suddenly fell in love with this little piece of heaven. My personal favorite is still the stone boat area on the far west side. Combined with the long corridor, it forms a relatively narrow space. A maple tree (Acer palmatum) with a very fairy-like shape is the essence of the entire space. I love it so much! Don't miss it if you come to take photos. The rockery here can be climbed. Overall, it gives a sense of being just the right size. Whether you are on the mountain or at the foot, you can overlook the entire garden, but there are also spatial layers, which is very in line with the characteristics of classical garden design.
