Taichung National Museum of Natural Science Botanical Garden

The botanical garden covers an area of ​​approximately 4.5 hectares. Its exhibition theme is the unique ecology and tropical rainforest of Taiwan's low altitudes. It carefully selects and examines the landscapes of several representative ecological zones in Taiwan, and shows the interest and characteristics of the landscape. There are a total of eight areas: raised coral reef area, Lanyu area, coastal forest area, Taitung Cycad area, northern low altitude area, central low altitude area, southern low altitude area and monsoon rain forest area. Various native species such as trees, shrubs, herbs, ferns, etc. are planted. The entire park (including the greenhouse) has a total of more than 800 species of plants. The Tropical Rainforest Greenhouse is a special Chinese-style glass greenhouse with a tower-like shape. The total building height is about 40 meters. Inside, useful and ornamental plants are displayed, which simulate the environmental characteristics of tropical rainforests, such as: super-tall trees, riverside rainforests, rainforest beds, lowland tropical rainforests, etc. There are about 400 species of plants in total. #Taichung #Botanical Garden
