Royal Botanic Garden Sydney Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Jun)
Green lung within the Sydney CBD?? No way!
Within the confines of the Cbd area of Sydney lies the local botanic gardens, a welcome respite from the buildings and man made architectures of the city.
With a size of 30 hectares, the park has a great view of the Sydney Opera House and the Harbour Bridge. There are also occasional performances there too. Opened in 1816, it is almost as old as the Singapore Botanic Gardens!
Great place to see the flora for free and perhaps a good place for a stroll or picnic!

Botanical Magic, smell the heaven
Sydney's Botanical Garden transforms into an enchanting wonderland every spring when the tulips burst into a riot of color. As you wander through this floral paradise, it's as if you've stepped into a living painting. The meticulously manicured beds are a tapestry of tulips in every imaginable shade – from fiery reds to delicate pastels. The fragrance in the air is intoxicating, a sweet blend of tulip blooms and the surrounding native flora. Meander along the meandering paths, and you'll stumble upon hidden nooks where you can sit amidst a sea of tulips, feeling like you're in a dream.
With the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge in the backdrop, the garden offers picture-perfect vistas at every turn. Birdsong serenades your journey, adding a symphonic touch to the visual feast. Don't miss the iconic Tulip Time Festival, where the garden's beauty is celebrated with music and art, creating a sensory overload that's simply magical.
Sydney's Botanical Garden in spring is a testament to the beauty of nature and a testament to the city's commitment to preserving it. It's a place where you can lose yourself in the sheer wonder of tulips in bloom, a botanical spectacle that lingers in your heart long after you've left.

What a pleasure to see the water view sights of Sydney from this spectacular location! The scenic garden paths appear endless, and it is a beautiful educational tour with excellent signage at every corner of this well-maintained national treasure. Whether you want to watch the water traffic, admire the Sydney Harbour and Opera House, laze in the sun reading a book on the grass, or watch flocks of cockatoos, it is all there. Some cafes and special exhibitions are scattered around the gardens, creating a relaxing oasis near a bustling city.

free activity to do in Sydney
Love visiting botanic gardens from different countries, this is one of the place that I enjoy going to. You can easily spend half a day wandering around and to enjoy the good varieties of flower! There’s a shop in the garden, can shop and enjoy the aircon to hide from the sun! There’s a cafe here as well :)

Art Gallery of New South Wales Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Jun)
When it comes to the competition in the field of art, compared with the ones in Europe and America, not to mention the old British Empire, Australia is a bit shy. But the New South Wales Art Gallery in Sydney is still worth a visit. After all, there are Van Gogh, Monet, Rubens and Picasso's originals, and compared to the overcrowded famous museums, there is simply a place to for illusion. The Art Gallery of New South Wales is next to the Royal Botanic Gardens, which are mainly composed of works of Australian native art from the 19th and 20th centuries – to be honest, the standards of these works are not too high. The treasure of the town hall is the works of the masters of Picasso and Monet and Van Gogh placed near the entrance. By the way, there is also a Chinese porcelain museum, which mainly houses some Song Jin and porcelain artifacts from the Ming and Qing Dynasties.

Stroll around Sydney's most beautiful art galleries
Visit the art galleries in Sydney~ The Art Gallery of New South Wales is one of the three major art galleries in Australia, located near the Circular Quay in Sydney city. It's a great place to see exhibitions in Sydney and an essential stop on Sydney's Citywalk.
The Art Gallery of New South Wales is divided into the old and new buildings. The old building (Southern Gallery) was built in 1871 and displays the finest art works from various periods of Australia, as well as some European and Asian masterpieces. There are also many Aboriginal Australian art works, which serve as a window to understand the indigenous art and culture of the Australian continent. The most important three art awards in the Australian art community are judged here each year, and the winning works are also exhibited here.
The new building (Northern Gallery) was completed at the end of 2022. It's more visually striking. The open-style giant modern art sculptures seem to exist independently, yet they echo the city's architecture from afar. The art pieces displayed inside cover both domestic and international modern fashion and classical artworks, always providing plenty of artistic inspiration and ideas, and are worth taking the time to explore in detail.
ps: The XO sauce crab noodles at the new gallery's restaurant are highly recommended, very much catering to Asian tastes.
The Sydney Art Hall, a free grand exhibition worth visiting
I've been to Sydney several times, and it was a coincidence
This is my first time entering the Art Gallery of New South Wales
It was established in 1872
Initially as an art school, it later became an art gallery
As one of the outstanding art halls
The building itself is worth seeing.
👀 The exhibition hall is divided into north and south galleries
This time I mainly wandered around the modern and contemporary art exhibition halls in the south building
If you have time, you can go to the north building, which is more modern.
👀 Highlights
In addition to historical masterpieces from various eras
You can see the originals by Van Gogh, Monet, Picasso
There are also many modern art installations worth stopping for
At the same time, there is a sub-exhibition area here
Highlighting the indigenous people's profound understanding of the universe
Exploring their relationship with nature and the universe through art works

St Mary's Cathedral is one of Sydney’s oldest and grandest buildings. Built on land given to the Catholic Church during the earliest days of colonization (1820), the original church was almost completely destroyed by fire and later rebuilt in its current form. The building that stands on Sydney’s central College Street today was constructed from Sydney sandstone and is regarded as one of the finest examples of an English-style Gothic Cathedral in the world.
In addition to surfing, I also launched an untouchable trip to Australia. The first stop of the
journey is the famous harbour city, colorful Sydney! As Australia's iconic city, Sydney's fascinating coastal scenery and unique cuisine attract visitors from all over the world. However, today I will take you to experience Sydney outside the travel guide. Follow me to see what other hidden menus in Sydney~
Darling Harbour/Rock Zone
Rock Zone is different from other Sydney suburbs. It is a mix of old and new Sydney elements. The elegant atmosphere of the Sydney Harbour blends. Featuring pebble alleys and historic verandas, there are also trendy bars and contemporary art galleries.
From the Harbour Bridge, not far from the historic rocky area. There are densely populated cafes, bars and elegant art galleries in the cobbled alleys. Walking here, many locals sit diagonally in the sun, slowly enjoying their favorite Brunch, or pushing the door into the art gallery to see the paintings of love. It's a pity that we are not in the rocky area on the weekends, or we can visit the famous "rocky weekend market". I heard that in this literary weekend market, I can find vinyl records.
Manli Khao Sok has Australia's unique boardwalk. Here you'll find shopping malls, cafes and galleries where you can experience Australian culture and buy bizarre tourist souvenirs! Australians really like to sunbathe, and on the white sand beaches, local people can spread the big words to enjoy the sun.
At Manly Beach you will experience the true surfing culture of Australia. In addition, at sunset, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the harbour at Manly Beach: the beautiful seaside, there are all kinds of yachts on the sea, the sun sets, and the most beautiful picture is unfolded in front of you. You can also choose to take the ferry, walk the deck and enjoy the unique view of Sydney Harbour from another angle.
Saint Mary's Cathedral
The unique "gothic" St. Mary's Cathedral in the city centre. Unrelated to the faith, attracted by the magnificent spires, want to go in and see. When I went, I met the mass. The believers were praying. The sun was scattered on the chair through the huge stained glass, and the face of the believers was calm and solemn. The side windows are fascinatingly painted, colorful, and each has a biblical story. The vivid and sacred atmosphere allows everyone who comes in to take the initiative to slow down, hold their breath, and feel quietly. Time is soft here and my heart is calm.
Sydney Royal Botanic Gardens
Sydney Park in Sydney, a whole piece of lawn, and lots of plants I can't name. Keke and I came to the early morning and watched the Sydney Opera House. We rushed to the salty sea breeze. We haven't been so relaxed for a long time. We simply sat cross-legged on the lawn and observed the crowd around us. We found that Australians really like to bask in the sun, and the benches everywhere are lying downside down with locals with large characters.
