In 1934, the master architect Liang Sicheng went to Shaxia Baocun with Lin Weiyin to study the residences of the Jiangnan people. He was amazed by the houses in the village and later wrote them into 'The History of Chinese Architecture'. In the book, he mentioned that 'there are many houses with stone walls in the Zhejiang and Jiangxi mountainous areas', and he used photos of Shaxia Baocun as annotations. 2. Main Attractions Bao Clan Ancestral Hall: It is the iconic building of Shaxia Baocun, worshipping the ancestors of the Bao Clan, and has a profound historical and cultural heritage. It is recommended to drive for 25 minutes to the nearest Liucheng Town for meals. The Xuanping wontons here are famous, and the dry pot goose from the small Ding restaurant on the side of Liucheng Road is delicious. 4. Transportation Guide It is recommended to drive by yourself, navigate to 'Shaxia Baocun'. There is a parking lot at the entrance of the village.
