A Time-Saving Guide to Lanzhou Shuimo Danxia

First, the sightseeing bus departs from the visitor center and stops at the first stop, the Silk Road Ancient Route. All passengers must disembark here, as the bus only travels between the visitor center and this first stop. ✅Time-Saving Route Duration: Approximately 2 hours Get off at the Silk Road Ancient Route stop and walk straight through the archway to the information board. Take the shuttle bus to the second scenic spot, Danding Lansheng (altitude 1941m). Here, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Danxia landscape, which is vast and magnificent. This is also where the red iron bridge is located, along with restrooms and a small shop. Then, take the shuttle bus back to the starting point and rent an electric car (38 CNY/vehicle) to go to the third scenic spot, Silk Road Xiaguang. The walk takes about 15 minutes. This spot is also great for taking photos, as it's closer to the Danxia formations. After taking photos, go directly to the Camel Road shuttle stop! Don't go down the stairs! Take the shuttle bus to Jiuse Danqing, which is even closer to the Danxia formations. After taking photos, you can take the shuttle bus back to the Camel Road shuttle stop and return the same way. ✅Silk Road Ancient Route This stop has some small animals and the archway is a good spot for photos. ✅Danding Lansheng Panoramic view of the Danxia landscape. ✅Silk Road Xiaguang Mid-range view of the Danxia landscape. ✅Hot Air Balloon Platform There are some small restaurants and shops here, which can be used as a resting place. ✅Jiuse Danqing Close-up view of the Danxia landscape. ✅Shayun Tuoling Here, you can pay for an off-road vehicle experience. There's also a 2550m-long plank road, which takes about 2-3 hours to hike to Danding Lansheng. Dinosaur sculptures are located here. ✅Shajing Tribe Cultural square. You can take the bus directly back to the visitor center. Buses depart every half hour from 10:00 to 18:00. 🔔Tips: 🌟Food and water are available in the scenic area. If you bring your own, bring enough, as you'll need it for the long walk. 🌟Be sure to wear sunscreen. If the weather is good, you'll be exposed to the sun throughout the tour, which is almost as intense as in a desert. 🌟For your safety, it's best to walk on the covered walkways, as the skills of those renting small sightseeing cars vary, and there may be some reckless drivers. 🌟It's said that tickets on the WeChat mini program are cheaper, so check it out if you're planning to buy tickets. 🌟If you're driving, I suggest making this your last stop before leaving Lanzhou, as parking in the city is inconvenient.
