Itinerary • Morning at Spruce Meadow: Transfer from the scenic area visitor center by small cable car directly to Spruce Meadow, about 5 minutes ride. After arrival, walk along the wooden plank road loop, about 2 kilometers, taking 1-2 hours, passing through primeval forest, viewing platforms, cattle and sheep pastures, etc. The meadow at the end faces the snow mountain directly. Photo spots include the spruce forest at the plank road entrance, meadow with snow mountain background, and the popular lonely tree photo spot. • Afternoon at Blue Moon Valley: Take the scenic area shuttle bus from the Spruce Meadow cable car lower station to "Shuiyue Pavilion" stop, free, about 15 minutes. Walk along the plank road visiting Yuye Lake, Jingtan Lake, Tingtao Lake, etc. The lake water is Tiffany blue, and on sunny days you can photograph the snow mountain reflection. The whole walk takes about 40 minutes, no need to take the 50 RMB per person electric cart. Notes • Altitude Sickness Prevention: Spruce Meadow is at 3,240 meters elevation, some people may experience altitude sickness. Prepare oxygen bottles in advance; convenience stores in the Old Town sell them for 10-15 RMB per bottle, prices double inside the scenic area. • Clothing and Gear: Bring windproof jackets, comfortable sports shoes.
