☕️ Kato Coffee Sakae Branch
📍1F Sakura Building, 1-3-2 Higashisakura, Higashi-ku, Nagoya, Aichi
As a specialty coffee shop, they boast an impressive variety of beans ✨
There is also a coffee concierge in the store who can help you select the perfect beans for your taste ☕
With its classic, wood-toned, and calming atmosphere, it is the perfect place for a relaxing morning.
Since I was in Nagoya, I had to order the Ogura (sweet red bean) cream toast 🍞
It is a popular spot, so there might be a line, but if you visit after lunchtime, there are days when you can take your time and relax.

🏄♀️ MALIBU COFFEE
📍1F Sakae Nohgaku Building West, 5-6-33 Sakae, Naka-ku, Nagoya, Aichi
Highly recommended if you are staying in the Sakae or Yabacho area ✨
It is a stylish, West Coast-style cafe—quite a rarity in Nagoya. They also have terrace seating, which feels absolutely amazing on a sunny day 🌴
This time, I had the thick-cut banana cinnamon toast 🍌
*Because the entertainment district, hotel area, and Chinatown are nearby, the immediate surroundings are a bit mixed, but the vibe inside the shop is fantastic!! 😊 Anyone familiar with the Ikeda Park area will know exactly what I mean...

☕ Dia Coffee
📍1-6-11 Higashisakura, Higashi-ku, Nagoya, Aichi
A coffee roastery serving light meals 🍞 located in a quiet area surrounded by offices and schools.
In the mornings, it attracts nearby workers and tourists, but the spacious interior means you can always enjoy your meal at a leisurely pace.
Since they also roast their own beans, the entire shop is filled with the wonderful aroma of coffee, creating a very cozy space ☕
My personal favorite is the simple Ogura red bean & fresh cream toast.
After all, having cream on top makes for a happy Nagoya breakfast 😋

🥐 ESPRIT NAGOYA
📍1F, 1-1-1 Higashisakura, Higashi-ku, Nagoya, Aichi
A bakery & cafe located along Hisaya-Odori.
It has a modern, open, and airy feel, and the terrace seats are super refreshing 🌿
During lunchtime, it is a popular spot bustling with couples and groups of women, so visiting for breakfast means you can enjoy a much more relaxed vibe.

🍞 Kissa Matsuba
📍1-35-14 Nagono, Nishi-ku, Nagoya, Aichi
A classic retro coffee shop situated in the increasingly popular Endoji Shopping Street.
It is within walking distance from Nagoya Station, making it a hit with tourists too.
You might have to wait a little, but their quintessential morning set—thick-cut toast, a boiled egg, and coffee—is a classic combo you must try at least once 🥚☕

🍞 Kogen
📍3-18-1 Osu, Naka-ku, Nagoya, Aichi
This one is located in the Osu area 🚲
Their signature dish is the triangular French toast, baked perfectly crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside ✨
With relatively few tourists, it is an old-fashioned coffee shop where local regulars enjoy breakfast while reading the morning paper.
I really loved the very calm atmosphere created by the elegant lady serving customers. A great spot to experience the everyday life of Nagoya 😊
If the shopping street starts opening up when you leave, enjoy a nice stroll on your way back 🚶♀️
