#Anantara Angkor Resort Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
Visiting the Angkor Wat in Cambodia and staying at the Anantara Resort was so comfortable!
The Anantara Resort in Siem Reap, Cambodia, is filled with a romantic atmosphere everywhere. The room design is inspired by Cambodia's glorious historical heritage, perfectly blending classic elegance with various top-notch modern amenities. Elegant hardwood floors are decorated with hand-woven carpets, high ceilings extend the sense of space, beautiful wingback sofas, handcrafted teak furniture, colorful local fabrics, and unique Khmer-style Apsara dancer sandstone statues all make one feel incredibly exquisite.
The Anantara Angkor is only a short drive from one of Southeast Asia's most enchanting archaeological sites, Angkor Archaeological Park. It's like a luxurious base camp, from which you can explore the UNESCO World Heritage-listed sites, the picturesque Tonle Sap Lake, and the charming town of Siem Reap. After two bottles of champagne for breakfast, I went back to my room for a nap. Waking up in the afternoon for a SPA session, I finally swept away the fatigue from the long trek to Beng Mealea the day before!
Last night's custom dinner in the hotel courtyard was so upscale - a private performance! It maximized the ambiance of the last dinner in Siem Reap! The final dessert was even presented in the form of a Chef's Table. A friend who has traveled through dozens of countries in Europe and America and has eaten at dozens of Michelin three-star restaurants said she never expected that the most upscale meal she ever had would be in Cambodia!

Meeting her, the meaning of travel becomes lying down
They say the rainy season is the off-season for travel in Southeast Asia, and the scenic spots seem a bit desolate in the wind and rain, but some hotels are still fully booked, which shows that people are increasingly liking to add 'lying down' to their travel itinerary.
The Anantara in Siem Reap is just like that, as comfortable and pleasant as home, and even in the off-season, it is still fully booked every day.
♥️♥️ Siem Reap's first mineralized saltwater swimming pool--------
The story of Anantara is fragrant with the sacred frangipani and as exquisite as a Japanese lawn, with red tiles basking in the sun and green trees offering a private holiday Feel, and the most touching is the story of what is said to be Siem Reap's first mineralized saltwater swimming pool—
Originally, the bottom of the pool was paved with dark mosaic tiles, so at a glance, the pool looked like a European pond, crystal clear to the bottom. Therefore, the designer imitated the practice of a wishing well and inlaid small gilded tiles at the bottom of the pool. The sun shining through the ripples made these little golden tiles reflect the light, just like the coins in a wishing well, representing people's beautiful wishes.
The most thoughtful part is that there are more coins towards the outside and fewer towards the inside, just like the habit of people throwing coins to make wishes, with few thrown far and most choosing to throw them nearby. At the end of the pool, there is a white statue of a woman lying down holding a doll, which is said to be an artwork specially designed and made by the former owner of the hotel for his beloved wife. Therefore, coming to Anantara for a vacation, swimming and resting, and looking for stories is a particularly wonderful thing.
—————Design Style————
The overall style of Anantara Resort is inspired by the grandeur of Khmer charm, with elegant room design. The design inspiration for the rooms also comes from Cambodia's glorious historical heritage, perfectly blending classic elegance with various top-notch modern facilities. From the brightly colored decorative fabrics to the luxurious bedding spread on the guest beds, spending a relaxing time in the lounge or on the balcony, taking a comfortable bath or enjoying a rain shower, these thoughtful designs easily bring you a comfortable and charming accommodation experience.
Each luxury room overlooks the garden, pool, and the exquisite courtyard inside the resort, allowing you to experience the ancient and beautiful life of the Khmer royalty without leaving your room. The hotel staff are very friendly, and each guest will have their own personal butler upon check-in. The butler will prepare a warm gift for you, take you to your room to complete the check-in, without having to queue up in the traditional hotel lobby, sweating profusely while waiting to check in.
🚗🚗🚗🚗 Transportation——————
After checking into the hotel, if you want to go anywhere in the city center, the hotel has a free tuk-tuk to take you there and pick you up again, which is probably hard to find such considerate service in the whole city of Siem Reap. Every time you go out or come back, the butler and staff will greet you with good morning and good night. When night falls, everything quiets down, with only the gentle breeze and flickering candlelight. There is a Bluetooth speaker in the room, shedding the fatigue of a day's travel, taking a hot bath, listening to music, and smelling the fragrance in the air, you will definitely feel satisfied. If you are still tired, the hotel offers quality Spa services, including 3 spa suites, 2 Khmer massage rooms, and 4 foot therapy rooms. The Spa retains traditional Southeast Asian massages and aromatherapy massages, with treatment inspirations derived from the celestial nymphs and indigenous lotus indulgent spa treatments, soothing the muscle soreness caused by the long Siem Reap adventure; or exploring Khmer massages and the healing effects of centuries-old local ingredients, in short, the variety of services and experiences fully interpret the warm and comfortable atmosphere of Anantara, just waiting for you to choose a good day to come here and lie down.

Anantara Suite at Angkor Wat Resort is so beautiful! Let's also visit the Queen's Palace in the afternoon.
Stayed at the Siem Reap Park Hyatt for three days, exchanged for three more days at the Angkor Wat Anantara, and stayed in the Anantara suite~ really liked the style and atmosphere, which fits perfectly in Siem Reap and Angkor Wat. The Angkor Wat Anantara in Siem Reap is really nice! Breakfast includes champagne or sparkling wine~ and hotels with A La Carte Menu are always top-rated in my heart! Moreover, the hotel's garden pool is particularly beautiful, perfect for relaxing after visiting the Angkor Wat.
In the afternoon, we left the hotel and arrived at the Queen's Palace, Banteay Srei. This is a temple dedicated to Shiva, built by the Khmer king a thousand years ago. All the stones used were selected from the red sandstone on the Litchi Mountain, making the colors more vibrant. Unlike the volcanic rock used in Small Angkor, this type of stone is very soft and perfect for carving. Because the Queen's Palace is so exquisite, many scholars initially doubted that this work of art was created by a woman's hand.
After strolling around, return to the hotel~ The Anantara in Angkor was originally built by a passionate general for his wife, so the hotel is full of romantic atmosphere. Moreover, the Anantara Angkor Resort is a boutique hotel with full suites, located in a lush garden in the suburbs of Siem Reap. The details of the hotel are also well done, whether it is the details of the service or the design, it always gives people a serious sense of luxury. It's so comfortable to vacation here!
