Bukit Batok stunning quarry pool
#tripblazers
Bukit Batok Nature Park is a testament to the beauty of reclamation, as it was once a granite quarry that has since been transformed into a haven for nature enthusiasts and explorers. The park's centerpiece is a stunning quarry pool, surrounded by rugged cliffs and vibrant flora, creating a breathtaking backdrop for visitors.
As you step into this natural haven, you'll be greeted by lush greenery, tranquil ponds, and meandering pathways that wind their way through the serene landscape. With its rich history, diverse wildlife, and breathtaking vistas, this park invites you to reconnect with nature and rediscover the beauty that lies within Singapore's green heart.
Close to the earth...
Developed on an abandoned quarry site in 1988, Bukit Batok Nature Park features stunning views and crystal clear waters. Serene and tranquil, it is an ideal place for a peaceful nature walk.
Take a leisurely stroll on the meandering footpaths that run through the secondary forest and admire the beauty of the lush greenery. Alternatively, go for a run on the park’s undulating terrain for an invigorating workout or hike through the forest and enjoy the serene ambience of the surroundings.
Climb the look-out points that reach more than 10 storeys high for stunning views of the quarry. Don’t forget to stop by the park’s entrance to marvel at the picturesque pond that lies at the foot of a high cliff wall. The pond runs deep and still – a relic from the mining days of the region.

Little Guilin, Bukit Batok Town Park
Also known as Little Guilin or Xiao Guilin among the locals, because its granite rocks within the lake resemble Guilin in China. This park was an abandoned quarry site, actually very large in size but may seemingly be small, for most areas lie in the hills behind the cliffs. The park is popular with shutterbugs and wedding couples for its beautiful landscape. Good for a stroll or walk to enjoy the serenity of the place and fantastic view of the tranquil lake. You can see chickens, turtles and fishes in the park.
It is within 5-minutes walking distance from Bukit Gombak MRT station. Fishing is not allowed in the lake, but there is a designated fishing area near the stadium.
Address: Bukit Batok Street 52
Highlights: Nature reserves

Calming Nature Park
Bukit Batok Nature Reserve is a lesser known reserve in comparison with Bukit Timah Nature Reaerve, but it remains calming and beautiful nonetheless. The climb is much less steep and high, which makes it an easier climb for all. As with most nature reserves here, mosquitoes are abound, so be sure to cover up to avoid getting bitten. #sginsider
Morning Walk @BukitBatok Nature Park
Walking into Bukit Batok Nature Park is another different experience; by looking at the surrounding area, I never expected another hidden gem in the Bukit Batok area.
It was an abandoned site around 36hectare, redeveloped in 1988; this park has a quarry pool with a stunning view of the limestone hill. This is my favorite spot in this park; the surrounding is peaceful, and enjoying turtles swimming around inside the pool.
This park is also a resident place for many birds, chickens, and water lizards. Some native wild orchids are also spotted here, and it's part of NParks orchid conservation program.

playground & fitness corner @bukitgombak park
#mustvisit
would recommend visiting the bukit gombak park if you have some time over the weekends and bring your children or nephew and nieces over. the park is actually quite small but it’s fun because there’s a few playgrounds and fitness corner around. the playground is actually quite cool there’s a small rock climb section and when you climb up you can actually take the slide down which is very very interesting and fun especially for small and young kids. there are also swings and sea saw around which the children can play and have fun with one another. overall would recommend visiting once at least.
bukit gombak park
#mustvisit
if you have nothing to do over the weekends you can consider visiting this place , bukit gombak park. it is near bukit gombak mrt , about 10 minutes walk away. nearby is the bukit batok driving center as well as a cafe called whisk and paddle.
the park is quite small and there’s a butterfly garden trail where you can walk and see the different butterflies around. there are also quite a number of play grounds and fitness corner around this park so you can bring your kids around here. there is also a dog run here and it’s pretty cool. overall would recommend walking or hiking here on a weekend morning To keep fit and enjoy.
Little Guilin
My first ever trip to Little Guilin.. As and east-er I rarely get to experience the west. I can never get enough of the nature around Singapore. Initially, I was quite intimidated by the park as the "rock" looks so big. Little did I know, it was probably one of the most beautiful things I have personally seen.
You can go for a walk and take many lovely pictures, perhaps at the lovely arch seats (picture 3).
Recommend for people who haven't experience the west nature to go take a look, it gives the vibes of being in China's real guilin..(just smaller).
*First time posting so if anything is wrong please do be gentle😫*

Family Friendly Nature Park at Bukit Batok
Address: Along Bukit Batok East Ave 2 & Bukit Batok East Ave 6
A family friendly park which is popular with families & also joggers. There's lots of lush greenery all around, with playground, forest trails & even a quarry. There's also quite a lot of benches around for visitors to sit down and rest if they're tired. While there, I had spotted quite a number of chicken & roosters (there's quite a number of them running around & rooster crowing sound can be heard quite frequently), and also a squirrel.
Nice park to take a leisurely peaceful stroll while admiring the greenery. One can also walk to the nearby Former Ford Factory, or walk towards Bukit Timah Nature Reserve as this is part of the Coast-to-Coast Trail. Lots of shade around as well. Highly recommended!

Great place for a leisure walk
#singaporetrip A peaceful and tranquil park in the west side. Great place for a leisure walk to enjoy the nature and best of all- it is free. You could enjoy the fresh air in the morning and enjoy natural scenery. You should be able to see some chicken or rooster along the way too.
The route was well maintained and clean, with ample bins along the route. A great healthy family destination to visit, with something for everyone in the family.
Strongly recommended!!!

Nestled within this Singaporean neighborhood lies a surprising abundance of greenery, defying the city's typical landscape. From the HDB's tenth-floor vantage point, the overhead view unveils a breathtaking scene. Despite its modest elevation, the panorama is nothing short of remarkable.
