From Kundasang, a cool place to the beach, a hot place. This accommodation was chosen because it is close to the jetty Rampayan for easy travel to Mantanani Island. Having arrived here, I want to share my experience and review of this accommodation. 🛖Cabana retreat -1st time staying at a glamping style accommodation -located on Jalan Rampayan Laut, Kota Belud -booking via the official website rm210 includes breakfast, fireflies tour, splash land, free 1 hour non-motorized water sport (paddle board, surfboard) If booking via agoda, it is not available -hotel is categorized as 3 stars -check in on 24 February 2022 -arrived at 330pm, the room is ready and the check in process is fast with a deposit of rm50 🛖Room -room type romantic tent, area 12m2, the room is okay, it is quite big but the queen bed seems small -if there are four of you, you can book a quad tent to save even more, friends. -there is drinking water, portable air conditioner, fan. -it's really hot during the day, the air conditioner doesn't feel cool 😂 -it's only ok at night, it feels a little cool, the wind from the sea. -the tent is facing the sea, so you can hear the sound of the waves, it's calm. -the bathroom is outside and shared like a dormitory 😂, it's a little scary to get up in the middle of the night. -room cleanliness 10/10 -bathroom cleanliness 5/10 -the room is given a key so the things in the tent are safe. -hard bed mattress, woke up with a backache 😂 🛖Facilities -parking available in front of the accommodation -there is a sea with gray sand on the beach -there are no people bathing in the sea because the waves are big, surfing is suitable. -the best sunset is really the best, it's really beautiful here. -a la carte breakfast has porridge, nasi lemak and American breakfast, you have to choose one. 🛖weakness -hot room -small breakfast portion not filling 😂 -outside toilet 🛖value for money -for the price paid it's okay -suitable for friends only. -not very suitable for honeymoon and family — at Cabana Retreat#staycation #awesomepic #couplestrip

First time staying here at Cabana Retreat KB. I always thought that there will be quite hot but it’s not the case! Our room equipped with portable aircon which quite sufficient to cool down the room. We sleep soundly at night because of the aircon 🥰 dinner spread is okay, worth the money which compensate with the remote location (10-15min from main road). Ocean view is stunning and wind breeezing on my face as i’m chilling at the beach side lounge called Cozy. Breakfast is meh but i think there’s room for improvement. So i can say my stay here is 4.5/5. Kudos to the management to upkeep the area!

We had 6 days trip to Sabah, Kota Kinabalu! Day 1: took rest and in the evening, we went to nearby Tanjung Aru beach to see the sunset! Day 2: Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park to visit 5 islands. We visited Sapi, Mamutak and one other island. Snorkeling was the best experience there. Day 3: We drove to Kundasung to visit Kinabalu mountain, Desa dairy farm and rabbit farm, Day 4: We went to Ranau Day 5: We went to Kota Belud! The beaches were very beautiful and amazing! Cabana retreat beach was awesome! Day 6: We came back to Kota Kinabalu and went to floating mosque!

Today go to cabana at 7am but unfortunately still closed so i just wait until 9am sebab teringin sangat. Wait sambil jalan jalan di jalan baru pan borneo. So finally 9am i go back to cabana and enjoying the nature view. Throwback to when this attraction was still newly opened in Kota Belud. It is such a fresh experience to swim in a pool even the floating one as swimming at the beach has already been done many time and it get boring. The price for entry is kinda high during our time but it is still wo worth it. You can buy water gun and lifebuoy at the shop near the changing room. They also sell swimming suit and many more. There is lockers to guarantee your belongings safety. Really a great gateway and 100% sure children will like it. There are 2 types of pool, one for kids and one for adults, fret not, lifeguard will also be on duty. You can alsod do water challenge as in the wipeout show beside this one swimming pool.
