Causeway Bay Rich Seafood Steam Pot
I came to this one-person steam pot restaurant with my friends for a seafood feast. The restaurant offers set menus at different price points, very generously, even the cheapest one already has a lot of seafood. We ordered two sets of 9-pin sesame and housekeeper. Each ingredient has instructions on the table for how long to steam, along with a timer for a few minutes.
Nine-grade sesame $258
The most basic set, which already comes with appetizer salad, octopus roll as a snack, 6 seafood, 2 meats, meatballs, vegetable platter and dessert, is very rich.
Internal Affairs $328
At the previous price point, in addition to basically having all the food of the nine-pin sesame set, the seafood also included mussels and half a crab or king crayfish. The snack has also been upgraded to crispy fried oysters on the outside and tender on the inside.
Let's start with the main seafood, which is placed on a boat-shaped vessel held in ice and looks beautiful. There is a wide variety of seafood, such as bacon, crayfish, white mussels, mussels, shrimp, fresh fish fillets, and the housekeeper package of mussels and crayfish. The seafood is all very fresh, the shellfish is fresh and sandless. The mussels and crayfish are fresh and juicy, the bacon is big and crispy, and the mussels are plump and plump.
For meat, you can choose between two kinds of beef, pork and chicken. We ordered American fat beef and pork slices. Both are good, evenly fat and lean, and tender. There are also three treasure balls (beef bone thick sauce beef balls, ginger skin egg gong balls and signature squid balls), of which the beef balls are good, rich and bouncy enough.
At the end of the meal, you can choose to use the essence broth to cook congee or cook noodles. We chose to have pumpkin taro congee. The shopkeeper will help add the congee base to the soup to cook the congee. Once you boil it, you can eat it. Once you open it, you will be drooling when you see the golden brown color. The congee is very smooth, in addition to the sweetness of pumpkin and taro itself, plus absorbing the essence of all the seafood, the taste is super fresh.
