At the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda 🐼, there are many souvenir shops 🎁, but every shop is filled with cute panda-themed items 🐼💕, from tiny panda dolls 🧸 to giant, huggable ones 🤗. Clothing 👕, keychains 🔑, bags 👜, hats 🧢, and even small trinkets like stickers ✨, mugs 🍵, and pretty postcards 📮.
One thing you should know is that the prices of each shop are similar 🏷️. Since they're all in the center, you can rest assured that you'll get authentic items wherever you go ✅. You'll find them everywhere you go 🛍️. If you're tired from walking and see something cute, don't miss out! You might regret it later 😅.
The atmosphere in the shop is also very cute 🥰, filled with a black and white panda theme 🐼. Every corner is adorable. If you love souvenirs, this is heaven! 🌈✨ And if you're looking for something a little more special, we recommend stopping by the Panda Post Office 📮, located in the center. Besides cute panda postcards, you can also get them delivered right to your doorstep! ✈️
So, friends, 👉 The souvenir shop at the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda 🐼🎁 doesn't have a specific name, but you'll find tons of items to choose from wherever you go! 🛍️ The selection is so adorable you'll be spoilt for choice! 😍 If you're there, don't forget to save some money for your shopping! 💸💖

My visit
My visit to the Chengdu Panda Sanctuary was unforgettable! Seeing giant pandas up close, munching on bamboo and playfully tumbling around, was absolutely heartwarming. The sanctuary’s lush, natural environment made it the perfect place to observe these adorable creatures in a setting close to their wild habitat. I even got to see baby pandas, which were incredibly cute and full of energy. The keepers’ dedication to panda conservation was inspiring, and learning about their efforts to protect this endangered species made the experience even more meaningful. This visit was a true highlight of my trip—a must-see for any animal lover!

Amazing day at Panda Research Base in Chengdu
Highly recommend to arrive there early (at around 7.30AM) to maximise your chances of seeing these beautiful and incredible creatures awake and active. You won’t regret the early wake up call after such a fulfilling day
Unfortunately the giant panda nursery is currently closed but still you can enjoy the adult ones
Don’t miss it if you are in Chengdu

If you love animals, a visit to the pandas in Chengdu is an absolute must! 🐼
The place is huge, with different areas where you can see pandas, peacocks 🦚, and red pandas.
Recommended: comfortable shoes, water, a UV umbrella, and a handheld fan!
They also sell delicious ice cream shaped like panda figures.

My first experience seeing pandas in Chengdu!!!
My first experience seeing pandas in Chengdu!!!
We booked our tickets through trip.com. It was easy and convenient. We didn't have to wait in line to buy tickets, which were always packed. We were able to just hold our passports and walk straight to the entrance. For those with families or adults over 60, admission is free! Just hold your passports and walk straight to the entrance and inform the staff.
The panda research center is huge, it could be called a whole mountain.
I recommend wearing comfortable shoes and bracing yourself for the adorable pandas. It's also a good idea to purchase a golf cart ticket for around 30 yuan to take you to each of the main attractions. You have to pay cash.
If you want to see the pandas, you should arrive early in the morning. Huahua (the little princess) will have to line up for admission at No. 6 Giant Panda Villa, south gate. There are also adorable red pandas here, which you shouldn't miss!!! #travelchina #redpanda #pandavalley

First time in Panda base Chengdu
I've just arrived to China for the first time. My first stop was Panda base in Chengdu and it was stunning! I was afraid that the place will be crowded and overhyped but I was wrong. It was totally worth it. Even though it was a little bit crowded, the place is so big and so well organized that you don't feel it.
Few tips I wish I had known:
1. Be as early as you can, ideally at openning time at 7:30
2. Panda feeding is at 8 am. They eat till afternoon, but it's better to be early. Later they take an afternoon nap.
3. It's better to visit on a cold day. Pandas don't like heat and it's easier to spot them outside when it's not hot.
4. Don't be afraid to walk long distance. Ideally start at south gate and finish at West gate (recommended route on the map). The further you go the less people there are.
5. Don't skip red pandas. They are just as cute as giant ones

Chengdu Giant Panda Base
Day 3 of my Chengdu trip
Today was planned for a city tour. I thought it would be a relaxing shopping trip, but it ended up being a 17,000-step walk! 🥲
After breakfast, I headed straight to the Giant Panda Base. I'd heard online that entering through the West Gate and exiting through the South Gate was less crowded, and when I arrived at the West Gate at 8:10 AM, it was indeed empty. Just as I was congratulating myself on being among the first to enter, I realized the pandas didn't start working until 9:00 AM, meaning I wouldn't have seen any pandas if I'd arrived earlier! 🥲
Later, I realized the crowds were waiting to see the flowers! I ran around all morning, my legs were exhausted, and I only saw eight pandas! 🐼 I strongly advise everyone to buy the shuttle bus tickets, otherwise you'll end up with broken legs after walking the entire base! 😅
