Incredibly Fun "Wizard of Oz" Experience in Henan That's Not Exaggerated
This is absolutely the best choice for a short trip around Zhengzhou
Dense forests and bamboo groves
Like walking into a fairy tale "Wizard of Oz" to quietly enjoy the peace and leisure of the mountains
For lazy people or sisters bringing children
Please directly copy my leisure route (absolutely not tiring). Sisters who want to hike can ignore this lazy route and just follow the normal route
1. Jinjhe Scenic Area's 1000-year-old Bodhi Tree
If driving, you can navigate directly here, there's a parking lot
Under the towering Bodhi tree with impressive branches, start your tour from here
2. Walk 5 minutes to Jinjhe Scenic Area entrance to buy one-way cable car tickets (free for children under 1.4m). Climbing up is really tiring
Take the cable car up, hike down
You can see all three waterfalls and it's super easy
3. Double-tiered Waterfall & Suojiao Cliff
The first waterfall you'll see at the cable car exit brings your first touch of coolness
Continue walking down to reach Suojiao Cliff
Here the stream gurgles, crystal clear, perfect for playing in the water
Important note:
From here walk 5 minutes
When you reach Ping'an Bridge, there are two paths. Don't take the left downhill path! Choose the right path to continue downhill so you won't miss the waterfall below
4. Xiefeng Cliff
The largest waterfall in Jinjhe
Formed by three layers, with flying, rapid, and gentle water flows. Standing here you can feel the water splashing on your face
5. Wizard of Oz
Surrounded by mist and lush greenery, it feels like being in a fairyland. There are many swings by the stream and many ferns along the path that make for great photos
There's also a coffee shop nearby
Sitting there having a cup of coffee is so relaxing
(The coffee shop was temporarily closed when I visited, but opens during hot weather)
6. Feihong Waterfall
This is a newly created peony flower sea waterfall
The cascading waterfall with beds of peonies is simply breathtaking, a super photogenic spot
Welcome Waterfall
Because we're taking the reverse route
The Welcome Waterfall is the last waterfall
Rest under the shade here, enjoy the scenery and play in the water with kids - super relaxing Dicui River Scenic Area
If you don't want to climb mountains, head straight here. It's more suitable for water play with children, and 1+ hour is enough
Travel tips:
If you have small children, bring water guns and change of clothes. Temperature difference between day and night is big, so warm clothes are a must
Best to stay overnight, there are many beautiful homestays here
As long as you don't leave the scenic area, the entrance ticket can be used continuously Luoyang Chongdu Valley
