My favorite part of the whole museum, especially since I traveled all the way from Upper Egypt to Lower Egypt, and I have been to all the temples and attractions above... My second favorite part of the whole museum is to explain the meaning of the wall paintings in a dynamic way, so that the general public can more easily understand the relevant cultural content... The entire Grand Egyptian Museum is a very large park, and it is still under construction next to it. It is estimated that if you go again in five to ten years, it will be a completely different scenery. After more than 20 years of planning and construction, it is expected to open in the last quarter of 2025. It's a remarkably modern and sophisticated museum, with excellent air conditioning – almost a little chilly, in fact! As you wander through its halls, you might even find yourself momentarily wondering if you've stepped into the Egyptian section of the Metropolitan Museum or perhaps the British Museum's Egyptian galleries. It's truly on that level! And here's a crucial tip: their gift shop is absolutely fantastic! We ended up with bags and bags of souvenirs, as you can see in the first photo.
