#Hangzhou Soul Paradise Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
Highly recommended Tonglu homestay! I can't praise it enough! It's just so, so, so comfortable!
At the end of February, I took a self-driving trip to Tonglu for a weekend. The popular homestays were quite expensive, and I didn't really like the room design and amenities from the pictures online. I stumbled upon Xiangxiang Luts on Ctrip. I was worried about the few reviews and potentially making a bad choice, but it turned out to be an unfounded concern, as it completely exceeded my expectations!
I booked the No.1 Courtyard Scenic Suite, which had an unbeatable view. The floor-to-ceiling windows faced the Fuchun River, which was incredibly healing. The homestay is nestled in the mountains by the river. You can enjoy the beautiful scenery right from the balcony. The bedding is comfortable, with heated toilet seats, and complete toiletries... The overall decoration of the homestay is not superficial like those internet-famous homestays; you can feel the thoughtfulness in the details and the attitude rooted in the mountainous lifestyle.
The homestay has its own cafe, which is also open to the public. When the weather is nice, you can sunbathe on the cafe's terrace. The lady of the house prepares Basque cakes for sale the next day after closing each night. Before going to bed, as I went upstairs to my room, I could smell the delicious scent of the cakes wafting through the air, making me feel warm and happy.
Early to bed, early to rise for breakfast. The breakfast is different every day. There are Tonglu specialty pastries, scallion oil noodles, fish ball soup, soy milk, milk... The daily combinations are very thoughtful. Lunch and dinner also offer a wide variety. There are homegrown bean sprouts, fragrant pork, fresh bamboo shoots... A mix of meat and vegetables, and every meal comes with a full bowl of fragrant rice. The restaurant also sells white wine, red wine, sparkling wine, etc. Even in the mountains, you can enjoy a quality life. The homestay also sells local mountain products, which make great gifts for family and friends. Next to the homestay, there's also a snack shop. If you're lucky, you might meet the homestay's own little cats. Seeing their round bellies, you know the food at the homestay is good.
The homestay provides butler service. If you have any problems, you can communicate with the butler for a solution. The staff are very friendly, solving problems quickly and patiently. You can also drink tea and rest in the comfortable chairs in the lobby of Courtyard No.3. You can also go to the homestay's own pier, enjoy the breeze, read a book, and enjoy some quiet relaxation time. The homestay cooperates with the surrounding village farms, and there are related posters in the store.
An additional gain was using the acca white moss shampoo provided by the homestay, which made my hair so fluffy! I placed an order online before even checking out.
Nestled in the mountains, are the nights filled with deep dreams...
Country Life | Rainy days are the best match for the mountains
After the rain, the mountains are surrounded by dark green and dark blue.
Before the rain, I picked a basket of chestnuts, so there will be chestnut chicken tomorrow. Cats and dogs are all sleeping in the yard, probably like humans, they want to stay at home when it rains.
On the day of the trip to Tonglu, the weather was fine. It took about an hour's drive from Hangzhou to Tongzi Village in Tonglu. When I woke up in the car, I found a whole blue-green lake outside the window. This is An inner lake pooled by the tributaries of the Fuchun River, surrounded by green mountains and green waters.
Check in the hometown of the town of B&B is also highly recommended by friends, simple but not simple, is my favorite tone. According to the owner of the hotel, the original Lutz was in the process of building the receipt in the traditional culture. It took more than two years from the start of construction to the opening of the business. He retained all the things he could keep in design. Try not to destroy the grass and the wood, retaining the most primitive and natural state.
The overall construction area of the B&B is about 600 square meters, but only 7 rooms have been built. The interior of the bed room I stayed in has a large interior area, the texture of the logs, the unpretentious design concept, and the surrounding The beauty of the scenery, abandoning the hustle and bustle of the big city, returning to the embrace of nature, this should be the dream of many office workers.
She and her husband have raised three cats and one dog. This name is Garfield, which is called the mushroom. It was rescued by the boss. The teeth are not very good. Every day, you need to feed carefully. Cute little animals, she and her husband had to shorten the number of days and trips, no matter how far they went, there was always a tie in the house.
They often interact with the guests in the inn, like the inn's waiters, and the guests who come to them all regard them as the owner of the inn!
