Shanxi Dayang Ancient Town Worth visiting ancient buildings
The ancient town retains a large-scale and well-preserved group of Ming and Qing ancient buildings, known as the \"living fossil of Chinese ancient towns\". During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, there were many officials in the ancient town, and the local folk songs \"There are officials who don't brag about Dayang\" and \"Dayang produced three dou and three sheng sesame officials\" truly reflect the prosperous literary movement at that time in Dayang, with a succession of officials. At the same time, Dayang is known for its developed handmade needle industry, supplying every family in China and exporting to Central Asia, and is known as the \"needle capital of the nine provinces\".
Set off at five o'clock in the morning in the heavy rain to see the Chengtang Palace of the Yuan Dynasty, a typical \"three bright and seven dark\" structure, which should have inherited the \"reducing pillars and moving pillars\" architectural style of the Mongol Yuan Dynasty. According to my analysis, the Yuan Dynasty came from the northern nomadic people, and the trees for building beams in the Central Plains were difficult to grow and mature in the northern grasslands, so the buildings of the Yuan Dynasty generally advocated practicality, reduced the use of wood, and were simple in shape, full of free and easy and rough beauty. The naturally curved jingmu beam on the eaves is particularly eye-catching. This is the first time I have seen such an old and well-preserved jingmu hall beam in China. It should be the most famous one in China. I can't get enough of it, I can't get enough of it, I can't get enough of it!
Transportation 313 Road half an hour a bus can go to Dayang Ancient Town, an hour on the road, passing through many villages, is a leisurely rural scenery.

Sanjin's number one town | Dayang Ancient Town
Today, I'll give you a place in Jincheng where you can confidently check in.
At the same time, it's also a paradise for ancient style enthusiasts.
Da Yang Ancient Town located in Zezhou County, Jincheng, Shanxi.
This ancient town is called Dayang Ancient Town, with a history of more than 2,600 years. It was formerly known as Yang'a and is also a famous town for Chinese history and culture, a base for international cultural exchange for Chinese overseas, a living fossil of ancient Chinese towns, and a national AAAA-level tourist scenic spot.
During the day, visiting the ancient town, you can visit the five major pavilions, all of which are historic architectural and cultural sites:
①Town History Museum: Piece by piece of historical facts are recorded in history books and inscriptions. Here, you can see the origin and changes of the ancient town, and feel the long history and rich cultural heritage of Dayang.
②Ancient Iron Workshop: Experience traditional handicrafts such as blacksmithing and needle grinding using the thousand-year-old smelting technology of the coal and iron hometown.
③Zhang Family Mansion: Currently the highest specification private mansion discovered in Southeast Shanxi, the residence of Zhang Yangmeng, the Minister of Household during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty, has a "deep courtyard" with three courtyards.
④Qipan Courtyard: a Ming and Qing dynasty ancient house, also known as "Four Courtyards of Qipan", each courtyard is independent but cleverly connected. Here you can see the Wanli Tea Road and feel the spirit of Shanxi merchants.
⑤Traditional Woodworking Hall: Experience the unique wood carving, participate in the martial arts examination, try your hand at sawing and planing wood, play with catapults, and enjoy riding wooden bicycles.
You can also wander around various alleys and feel the tranquility and peace of the ancient town.
There are many local elderly people sitting in the ancient town chatting and sunbathing. This is what peace on earth looks like!
In the ancient town, there is a Hanfu museum where you can also dress up in Hanfu and take very picturesque photos. However, my favorite time is still at night.

Exploring historical Jincheng...
Dayang Ancient Town (大阳古镇) is located in Jincheng, Shanxi Province of China. From the high-speed train station it is actually quite a long distance in the car, the older train station is therefore closer. It is accessible by bus also.
Once inside, descend the steps and through the magnificent front gate. You will be greeted by numerous small alleyways and corners along with rows of well-kept old buildings of various purposes; from houses, through to temples and restaurants. The area is well signposted in both Chinese and English along with maps to use. The people here were very friendly and the whole place is very picturesque! The best time to come is definitely first thing in the morning during the spring or summer time, as there are few people and you can take photos much easier. Be sure to check the tourist information office at the front gate and get a free map, as this makes the visit much easier.
