It was an excellent stay at the JW Marriott South beach hotel in Singapore. The suite room we stayed in was great. There is a separate kitchenette and a living room apart from the bedroom. The view was great and it oversees the marina bay area. My husband and I love the design of the room and the ambiance of the hotel. The bed was comfortable and the service by the staff was professional. We will definitely be coming back if we have the chance in the future.

Breakfast Buffet at the JW Marriott

Today we look at one of the most glorious breakfast buffet spreads I've ever had in a Singapore hotel. The JW Marriott Hotel Singapore South Beach is situated in between Marina Bay and the CBD. It's a marvelous 5 star hotel, and the breakfast buffet - from food to service quality - did not disappoint.
Breakfast buffet is served at The Beach Road Kitchen, less than a minute's walk from the hotel lobby. It's spacious with ample seating options, but the food was the highlight. Expect everything that caters to all taste buds. Some worth the mention:
- Live congee and noodle station
- Live egg station (with chilli crab filling!)
- Extensive cheese and cold cuts selection
- Wide array of French and English pastries
- Many local favourites like nonya kueh, as well as delicious zi char dishes
Overall, the food was extremely delicious, so I recommend getting the breakfast package if you book a stay at the JW Marriott.
The only critique I have would be to have more vegan and gluten-free options. It didn't bother me but it could be a problem for some.

The JW Marriott Hotel Singapore South Beach is a situated in a terrific location near Marina Bay and the CBD. The building is exquisitely designed, and there are dozens of restaurants and bars just outside the hotel lobby.
I stayed in the Premier Guest Room 1534 on the 15th floor. The view was subpar because of construction work, but I'm sure a marina bay view would have been great. The room was impeccably clean, modern, and spacious. The bed was comfortable, though the pillows were too flat - thankfully a much firmer pillow was kept in the closet. The nespresso coffee machine was a nice touch too. Only downside: the TV was not smart.
I loved the large bathroom, especially the automatic warm toilet - using the toilet first thing in the morning was stress-free! The bidet was also controlled by a remote. The deep soaking tub and separate rain shower were lovely too.
Overall, it was a brilliant stay. The rooms were in great condition, well-equipped, and befitting of the JW Marriott name. Highly recommend.

The JW Marriott name is no stranger to everyone - it is known for its luxury, taste, and impeccable service. The JW Marriott Hotel Singapore South Beach lives up to its expectations. Strategically located near Marina Bay, the CBD, and dozens of landmarks, this hotel presents the perfect luxurious balance between heritage and modernity.
I stayed for a full week in the Premier Guest Room King (High Floor) on the 15th floor. From the moment arrived, to check out, the service was 10/10. Here are some quick room facts:
- Automatic, warm toliet and bidet (this was THE highlight)
- Nespresso Coffee machine
- 40sqm in size
- Deep soaking tub
- Separate rain shower
- Fully stocked minibar with extensive in-room bar and dining menu
Overall, the stay was excellent, and I recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious retreat amid the bustle of Singapore.

We had a small sized friend's gathering at the JW Marriott South beach hotel. The hotel was luxurious though the price was on the higher side. We love how comfortable the beds were and the ambiance was great for a gathering and for a romantic stay with your loved ones. The service was top notch and they greeted us when we went there. I would ask my hubby to book one room with them during our anniversary celebration to pamper myself for this meaningful day. I really fell in love with the room and wish that I could stay here longer.

I had the opportunity to visit the top floor of JW Marriot at South Beach Road. It was the first time I am above the ground level of the hotel and I was very impressed by the view. We could see the entire Marina Bay Area and all the hotels! It reminds me of the days where we were stuck in Singapore and was hotel hopping. On the other side, we could see the ocean and national stadium area of Singapore. Don’t you wish you were staying or working in JW Marriott?
The building is also conveniently located above Esplanade station. And next to the JW Marriot hotel.

SingaPAW Weekend is back again at SouthBridge Avenue. This year there is no pet walk because of the National Day Parade that is held near by in Padang.
However there are a lot more stores, games such as temptation trails, pawmazing race, instagrammable booths and of course adoption drives.
I even saw pets such as parrots, cats and hamsters.
It’s definitely an event for all animal lovers to come together and have fun! You can even buy ice cream for your pets.
You can even see how my friend’s dog throughly enjoyed the durian ice cream. She even tired to bite it instead of licking it!

Art is everywhere in the hotel. From the driving lobby, to the main lobby, the the other areas of the hotel and even in the rooms.
Have fun spotting and reading up on the art installations. They come in many forms to. From oil painting, sculptures to video wall, installations.
Another strong motif is the use of metal and mirrors. They are everywhere too. The room, room toilet, common toilets in the hotel. This is very obvious and adds another interesting touch to this already very interesting hotel. A must stay!

JW Marriott Executive Lounge
Located on the 2nd floor of the hotel, the lounge is open from 7am to 9pm daily. Breakfast is served from 7am to 10.30am, afternoon tea from 2.30pm to 4.30pm, hors d’oeuvres from 5.30pm to 7.30pm and evening cocktails from 5.30pm to 9pm. Light refreshments like nuts, dried fruits and non-alcoholic drinks are served during the rest of the day.
While the afternoon tea was nothing to rave about, the hors d’oeuvres and breakfast were pretty mind blowing in terms of quantity and quality of food.
The lounge is also huge and split into different sections , with one section being the quiet zone. Smart casual dress code required but not actively enforced.
All in all, very worth it to get a club room/suite for the access to the executive lounge. One of the better lounges I’ve been to in Singapore.

Quirky hotel stay

JW Marriott Hotel is easily accessible by train and is directly connected to the Esplanade MRT station. Also, it is located in the heart of City Hall so getting to shopping centres and key attractions is very convenient. Some of them are even within walking distance.
We found the interior aesthetic to be very quirky and unusual with such character, it is really not your typical 5-star hotel. Rooms are comfortable, although there is some yellowing, as well as wear and tear in the furnishings already.

This time during our staycation here at JW Marriott Hotel South Beach, my husband and I opted to have our complimentary breakfast at Beach Road Kitchen restaurant. It had quite a wide spread of food across the international cuisine spectrum.
I highly recommend the eggs benedict with the hollandaise sauce but if possible, get the ones that are freshly made as it tastes way better when it’s hot. The ambience was a little affected by the crowds and noise though.

One of the unique things about JW Marriott Hotel South Beach is that on top of having a huge swimming pool with a gorgeous view of the Marina Bay area, they also have spots for games!
There is table tennis, foosball and even a billiard table. Of course, the downside is that if it gets too crowded, you might have to wait quite a bit for your turn as it is first come first serve. But kudos for providing these facilities to begin with!

This gorgeous hotel is one of the properties owned by Marriott and truly stands out from the surrounding buildings because of its gleaming and glistening in the sun!
My husband and stayed in a club room this time and we got assigned one that is right at the lift lobby. The room was generally comfortable but it was a bit disconcerting that our windows could peer into someone else’s room so closely, and vice versa. We had to keep our curtains drawn most of the time as a result. Other than that, the hotel spaces were pretty uniquely designed.

Every time I am on staycation, I will look out for any spa facilities available for in-house guests. JW Marriott Hotel South Beach is one of them that does! For a small fee of $20 excluding taxes, all guests can enjoy the spa facilities like the jacuzzi, steam room and more.
It was so cool that the steam room had strobe neon lights that changed colour every few seconds. Also, it just so happened that when I went, there was no one else around so I got to have the whole place to myself!

What is definition of #amusementpark for you? For me is about place to chill and get entertained. Doesn't matter whether there is live performance or not, as long as there are things to play with and environment for me to relax, it can be considered as amusement park because I will get amused in the park especially here~
There are many "lepak" / "relax" corner surrounded by greens (considered as park, right?); and I'm amused by the games available here. I can play football, billyard, and ping pong. JW Mariott is indeed the best!

The marble tiled bathroom features a toilet bowl with electronic bidets, auto lid opener and even a seat warmer ! The accompanying bathtub is big enough for 2 pax and also comes equipped with a separate rain shower too.
The hotel has 2 Gardens and 2 Infinity Pools @ Flow18 Sky Garden and Ebb6 Sky Garden. Go for a sunset dip and catch the breathtaking city skyline views of the Marina Bay area or city centre.

Their Grand Ballroom with wedding banquet setup is spectacular too, and they even serve bubble tea from their Show Kitchen !

Another great stay again at JW Marriott Singapore. Love everything about this hotel being ultra modern with all those wall installations in the hotel lobby to modern artworks in the room. I was assigned to the room on a high level that overlooks the Suntec Convention and Exhibition Centre and offers views of the sea and Marina Bay Area. The bathroom is absolutely stunning in an all white clean interior, with a state-of-the-art toilet and electronic bidet.

Super convenient with the hotel located right above the Esplande station which allowed easy access to majority parts of Singapore. And if you decide to dine in the hotel, the hotel also operates several restaurants which we had our dinner at their Chinese restaurant - Madame Fan. Highly recommended showcasing fresh Cantonese flair executed with a modern finesse and I will be sharing those dishes on a separate post soon. The plot of land on which the current sky-scraping JW Marriott Hotel South Beach stands used to be a cluster of military buildings known as the Beach Road Camp. Many of the original pre-war buildings have been demolished except for Blocks 1, 9 and 14, which have been restored and given new life!
They now contain restaurants, bars and lounges such as the famous Fish Pool Bar and other event spaces. It is pretty cool to see a preserved colonial building and then walk in to see a modern, fashion-forward interior!

Military base landmark in Singapore

This historical landmark used to be the original headquarters the Straits Settlement Volunteer Force back in the 1940s during the world war! It was initially named Block 14 and was used to house field ambulances and armoured cars.
Today, the Singapore government has called for its facade to be conserved as a heritage example of military architecture of the 1930s. It is currently part of the JW Marriott Hotel South Beach event space and has restaurants and bars operating inside! Definitely worth a visit for its historical significance.

British military club house in WWII

Back in the 1950s, this property used to be called the NAAFI Britannia Club, a club house that served as a recreational facility for British servicemen in Singapore. When the British forces withdrew from the country in 1971, the government purchased it and converted it into the Singapore Armed Forces Non-Commissioned Officers (SAF NCO) Club in 1974.
In 2002, The NCO Club was gazetted for conservation by the Urban Redevelopment Authority and became one of the first modern architectural heritage buildings to be conserved in Singapore. It has been acquired by JW Marriott and is currently a F&B establishment with many restaurants and bars within its premises!
