this place offers fantastic view! it’s a temple complex where you can visit the pagoda, the Buddhist temple and enjoy the Buddha statue. and most importantly, this place is free of charge that everyone can come here and admire the beauty of the city and the beach! it is recommended to walk around the complex, and experience the calamity and peace of this place. The architecture of the temple and pagoda are truly amazing.
I wish I can travel to more Asian countries, such as Philippines and Myamar to experience more local culture and cuisine

There are three Linh Ung Pagoda in Danang, today writing is Linh Ung Pagoda Bai But Son Tra that is one of the three Linh Ung Pagodas in Danang, the others are Marble Mountain and Bana Hill.
Located in Hoang Sa, Tho Quang, SonTra, 693 meters above sea level, around 10 kilometers northeast of the city centre.

Finding Peacefulness at Linh Ung Pagoda
I love traveling alone, especially when it takes me to exotic places so I can truly observe the local culture and make local friends.
I enjoyed visiting Linh Ung Pagoda as a solo traveler because of its zen gardens and the peaceful feeling it offers.
Linh Ung Pagoda is visible for miles and miles away since it was placed at a strategic location on Son Tra Peninsula. You can see Linh Ung Pagoda from as far as 40km away, because I can assure you I could see it clearly from An Bang Beach as well. Linh Ung Pagoda is quite new because it was built just 12 years ago.
I took a taxi to Linh Ung Pagoda since taxi is the best way to get around Danang. Taxi ride cost me just about 100.000VND and the driver offered to wait for me to take me back to the city. When I arrived at the Linh Ung Pagoda, I walked around bonsai trees and its multiple temples taking in the peacefulness and spending some time on my own.
Linh Ung Pagoda offers a spectacular view of Danang and the coastline for miles ahead. I visited Linh Ung Pagoda during great weather so I could even see the mountains that lay behind Danang City.
It is extremely nice to just sit down and relax with such spectacular view with the cooling breeze from the sea.
The sculptures and temples are built by a genius architecture because it’s just so beautiful and so perfect, a real masterpiece.
Enjoy the feeling of zen while visiting Linh Ung Pagoda 😊

Gorgeous Marble Statues and Panoramic Views
The Linh Ung Pagoda is one of the most famous attractions in Danang, a coastal city in Vietnam. While passing through this area on a 2 week journey travelling north to south Vietnam, this was definitely a highlight of our visit. Just walking up the steps to the main complex area, you'll find intricate marble carvings of dragons that pave the way in the direction you want to be heading - and these alone are stunning to look at. But on a hill on the Son Tra Peninsula, where the area is located, you will also find one of the tallest statues of the Goddess of Mercy - a huge statue, 67 meters tall, made of blinding white material.

🇻🇳Our Danang Diaries🇻🇳
Here we are at the bottom of the Lady Buddha that stands on a blooming lotus, this perfect depiction faces the city, as you see in the photos we took😍😊 I love the scenery around too.
We also saw a lot of people going inside to light incense and pray. One must respect and be quiet inside. It is really a magnificent view inside with the the golden statues. The view from here is also beautiful as you can see the city especially in good weather.
Tip: Be sure to take an umbrella or wear a cap as it is really hot on a sunny day.

Lady Budha at Son Tra Mountain Vietnam🇻🇳
#vietnamtrip
The highest statue of Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva in Southeast Asia in Vietnam, the White Jade Avalokitesvara Pagoda, has three similarly named "Linh Ung Pagoda" temples, each with its own unique features. Even though it has a long history, it is important to consult one of the scenic spots when traveling to the port. According to the three Lingying Temples, they are located on Mount Pibana, Mount Wuxing, and the Shancha Peninsula. The Camellia Peninsula is eye-catching with a huge statue of Guanyin, and its geographical location is superior. Regardless of the angle of the temple, one can overlook the sea. In Lingying Temple, generosity is the highest white jade statue of Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva in Southeast Asia. It is about 70 meters high and about 20 floors high. Both sides of the temple are made of marble. Both sides of the temple are decorated with different generous Arhat decorations. Going up all the way, it can be said that it is not always spectacular. You can see the pure white statue of Guanyin standing tall on the tea peninsula in the northeast of Mount Mameixi Beach. Apart from admiring the beauty of Vietnamese temples, one can also overlook the beautiful creek and beach stretching along the coastline, as well as the entire city, with a vast view and pleasant scenery on the Houshan Tea Peninsula. Adhering to the most beautiful scenery on the Shancha Peninsula, you can only experience the same way of Buddhist worship, and also see the largest Avalokitesvara Buddha statue in Asia, as well as the ocean view and oblique viewing, which is refreshing! “Linh Ung” itself means “wishes answered miraculously”. These two sentences means that if you pray sincerely inside the pagoda, all your wishes might come true, hence we did not miss the chance to visit this amazing sight even on our last day❤️We also made sure to wish while we were there.
The Lady Buddha can also be seen from the coast of Danang so we were able to see it everyday from our hotel by the beach, clear during the day and all lit up at night⭐️
On a beautiful sunny and clear day, the sight is stunning and worth it to visit.

It's not Sanya, but the shock comes from the highest Guanyin statue in Southeast Asia
The area around Da Nang is quite suitable for motorbike riding. After returning from Haiyun Ridge in the afternoon, I went straight to the Shan Cha Peninsula to watch the sunset, keeping busy without a break.
We watched the sunset on the Shan Cha Peninsula at a place called Lingying Temple. This temple, built with donations from the Chinese community, is the largest in Da Nang. Its location is very unique; from any angle of the temple, you can look down and see the sea.
The most famous feature of the temple is the tallest white jade Guanyin statue in Southeast Asia, standing 67 meters tall with a diameter of 35 meters. It's no exaggeration to say that I could see its figure from the hotel on Da Nang's Meixi Beach, truly a colossal presence.
Below is a summary of places worth visiting on the Shan Cha Peninsula:
✅ Basket Boat: Close to the Shan Cha Peninsula, you will pass a port where you can see a cluster of basket boats on the beach, which the Vietnamese call CANO. The origin of the basket boat, it is said, dates back to the Nguyen dynasty, when local fishermen invented it to avoid fishing boat taxes. These basket boats are said to be very suitable for nearshore fishing, can navigate through coconut groves, and even perform difficult maneuvers like drifting and circling.
✅ Mountain Gate: Following the steep stairs upwards, you soon reach the mountain gate. The gate is very Chinese in style, resembling temples in Fujian, with its eaves curling upwards and the carvings on the roof ridge vividly alive. Each archway is adorned with a couplet in Chinese characters, which we find very familiar, though most local Vietnamese probably don't recognize them.
✅ Daxiong Hall: Not far past the mountain gate is the main hall. The eaves of the main hall are made of green tiles, different from ordinary buildings, and blend perfectly with the natural backdrop of green pines. The main hall also looks simple and majestic, without too much intricate decoration. Four coiled dragon stone pillars support the entire hall, with dragons winding from top to bottom on the pillars, and the carving of the dragon's body and head is exquisitely detailed, reminding me of Quanzhou.
✅ Linglong Pagoda: Next to the temple on a higher ground stands a Chinese-style pagoda. This pagoda has 9 floors, each with 6 eaves, totaling 54 dragons, each one vividly alive, with Chinese characters and patterns visible everywhere. But just when you think you're still in China, the intrusion of Vietnamese characters brings you back to reality.
✅ Guanyin Statue: Of course, the most popular attraction in the temple is the white jade Guanyin statue, taller than a 20-story building. The statue backs against the mountain and faces the sea, with eyes looking down, overseeing all beings. One hand holds a lotus gesture, and the other a vase of nectar, symbolizing the sprinkling of peace water on fishermen at sea, turning fierce winds and giant waves into calm seas. She stands like a guardian deity, blessing Da Nang with peace and favorable weather.
Of course, in terms of refinement and scale, this Guanyin statue is still quite inferior to the Nanshan Guanyin statue in Sanya, but the atmosphere of Lingying Temple is better, without the heavy commercial vibe, and more of a devout atmosphere.

⭕ Note | You can park your motorbike at the parking lot at the foot of the mountain, and then you can walk up the mountain. Be aware that there are quite a few monkeys near the parking lot, comparable to Mount Emei, so it's best to carry a bamboo pole for protection.
💚Wonderful Linh Ung Pagoda💚
🇻🇳Our Danang Diaries🇻🇳
We made the most of it, Even on our last day in Danang, we visited the famous Buddhist Temple “Lady Buddha” aka Linh Ung Pagoda located on a hilltop by th sea.
We booked a grab car and headed there, from Diamond Sea Hotel it was around 20 minutes.
First we walked all the way in, lots of greenery then climbed down to immerse ourselves in the breathtaking views of the ocean and the city as well💚
From here you can see the city in the distance, stunning!
Suggest to take some pictures here🥰

For those going to Bana Hills, please come in|day-3 citywalk
Bana Hills is divided into 3 major areas, the upper level has French Village, Mercure Hotel, Fantasy Park; the middle level attractions include the Golden Bridge, Dream Garden, Wine Cellar (we can go together); the bottom is the cable car station.
🏠Mercure Danang French Village Bana Hills / Mercure Hotel
📌European castle appearance, very retro hotel
📌The hotel has buffet service, lots of choices
📌You can use the room card to go to the indoor swimming pool, very comfortable! The pool is not in the same building, you need to walk a distance
🏰French Village
📌As soon as you walk out of the cable car exit, the European-style buildings and scenery that come into view are too shocking! Everywhere you take pictures looks good!
📌There is a church next to the hotel, both inside and outside are very spectacular, it should be the most characteristic building in the entire French Village
🎡Fantasy Park (Amusement Park)
This is the happiest place for children, included in the ticket, no need to buy another ticket. I just walked around, there was no time to queue up to play
🫴Golden Bridge
I came down from the mountain at 8 o'clock, there were so many people, and the wind was very strong. At that time, it was basically impossible to avoid the crowd, it was difficult to take pictures that came out
🌹Dream Garden
It has the feel of a European garden~ But you can learn some angles to take pictures without seeing the crowd
🍷French Wine Cellar
I walked through it all at once, you can taste the wine there, I forgot how much it was, but it's not too expensive. For those who don't know how to taste wine, they don't know whether it's good or bad when they drink it 😂
🙏🏻Lingfeng Zen Temple, Lingying Temple
Finally, you can climb to the commanding heights to overlook the entire panorama of Bana Hills🤩
📌The wind is very strong and cold at night, remember to bring a jacket
📌I suggest you stay there for two days and one night. When you go there in the morning on the first day, you can leave your luggage at the hotel, and then you can start to stroll around.
Lady Buddha Captured My Heart ❤️
#2024wish
Lady Buddha is the tallest Buddha statue in Vietnam.
It’s located at the Linh Ung Pagoda in Da Nang. The statue is equivalent to a 30 story building.
But the Lady Buddha is not the only spectacular site to see. As I walked around the courtyard, I also spotted a marvelously crafted dragon overlooking the Son Tra Sea.
I was so inspired by this dragon that I got a tattoo of it on my arm!
This place is magical with its sweeping views of the ocean and the faint site of the city of Da Nang in the background.
The next time you visit Vietnam 🇻🇳 don’t miss seeing the lovely Lady Buddha and her dragon in Da Nang!

Rain Can’t Stop Me To Explore This Pagoda🇻🇳
This time i visited the largest and the most beautiful Pagoda in Da Nang City, Vietnam. The Pagoda Named Chua Linh Ung or Linh Ung Pagoda. You can reach this pagoda by driving a car or motorbike, 9 KM away from the ciry center of Da Nang City.
Linh Ung Pagoda stands on the 20 hectare land of Son Tra mountain with many buildings you can visit: the main hall, the lecture hall, the ancestral house, the road halls, the library, the cafeteria, and the Arhat statue garden.
Sadly at that time when i came here, it was raining all day long, the view is still good but the sky just not clear. Raining season in Danang/Vietnam is from AUG-DEC. Check the weather before you goin there ^^
PS: the entrance fee is free

The best moment in Vietnam and nice place ⛩
Beautiful scenic drive up to the Pagoda and very easy to find. Take some time to enjoy the drive and then walking around the Pagoda. Beautiful garden surrounding the Pagoda with many states and trees/plants. The giant Lady Buddah near the Pagoda is extremely impressive too. A must visit in Da Nang. #wintergetaway
#wintergetaway
Ascend to the Camellia Peninsula, the most famous of which is the Lingying Temple, where locals like to come here for peace.
On the mountain, the air seems to be a lot fresher. Obviously, I came to get oxygen. Walking to the observation deck, you can see the beautiful coastline of Da Nang, and the air is full of comfort.
Riding a morning car was a little thirsty, bought a small coconut, the taste was much more amazing than imagined. Not only is it very refreshing and sweet, but it is also very thirst-quenching, much better than the coconut experience bought in Thailand and Sanya.
Although February-May is the best season for trips to Da Nang, it is strongly recommended that you also need to take precautions. Its sunny and sometimes rainy along the way. Even if the temperature is 20-30 per day, its very cold when it rains, especially on the coast of the mountain.
