Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport
Flying out from Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport, went through interesting duty free shop Heinemann. There is a huge selection of liquor and wine section. There is even a Taste and Fly section where you can sample taste some sausages and wine tasting! The most interesting is theee us large area where Unicum which is a Hungarian herbal liqueur which is drank after meals to help digestion. This Unicum is classified as Hungary National Drink, you have to try and buy some when you are in Budapest.

Budapest International Airport
Returned from Budapest for business trip and here the update on Budapest Ferenc Liszt International airport, it is a relatively small airport with 2 terminals. The check in process is relatively straightforward. Once you passed the security check, there is a food court and some restaurants on the level 2. If you want to have proper meals, pls do it before passing passport control for international flights as there are limited choices for food once past passport control. There are also a few airline lounges for you to visit. There are some retail shops but very limited on what they offer.

Celebi business lounge at Budapest Airport
Took Qatar airways from Budapest International airport and had a chance to visit Celebi Business Lounge at level 2 after passport control. It is a relatively small lounge but the seats are comfy enough to have some rest. They also serve both alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks and simple food like sandwiches and snacks. There is no boarding announcements in the lounge but there are a TV monitor to show all departing flights status.

Nice airport
Decent airport. Did online check in so flew through security gates in minutes. Lots of good F&B options after security and plentiful seating.
Wifi was reliable and bathrooms easy to find. Excellent transportation options to downtown with the 100E and 200E airport busses running every few minutes.
Duty free and restaurants/Cafe accept HUF and Euro. I liked the Christmas feeling here

2 Nights, 3 Days in Budapest – Experience the depth of Europe in the city at night
#TravelGuide
Day 1: Arrival in Budapest → Stroll along the Danube River → Buda Castle & Fisherman's Bastion → Enjoy traditional Hungarian cuisine while enjoying the night view
Day 2: Parliament Building Tour → St. Stephen's Basilica → Relax at the Széchenyi Baths → Enjoy a nighttime cruise
Day 3: City Park & Heroes' Square → Stroll through the ruined pub streets → Shop for souvenirs, then transfer to the airport or the next city
Medieval architecture, spa culture, and stunning night views. This city is a jewel of Europe, even more beautiful at night than during the day.

Discovering Széchenyi Thermal Baths: My Experience with Massages and the Beer Spa in Budapest
#centraleurope #Budapest is already famous for its thermal waters, but what took my visit to the Széchenyi Thermal Baths to the next level was indulging in their wellness treatments. Spending a day here isn’t just about soaking in steaming pools—it’s about treating yourself to an unforgettable spa experience. #Budapest #Hungary
🛁 A Thermal Spa Beyond the Pools
After spending a couple of hours floating between hot and cold pools, I decided to try their massage services. With options ranging from 20-minute stress-relieving massages to full 60-minute aromatic treatments, there’s something for every budget and schedule.
💆 Massage Prices & Options
• 20 min basic massage: ~€15–20
• 60 min aromatherapy massage: ~€50–60
• Luxury couples’ massage: perfect if visiting with a partner
You can book them on-site, but I recommend reserving in advance online, especially during weekends.
🍺 The Beer Spa
Yes—you can soak in a warm wooden tub infused with natural hops and herbs while sipping unlimited draft beer. For about €30 per person, it’s a unique and fun experience that left my skin incredibly soft.
🎒 Tips for Visitors
✔️ Bring a swimsuit and flip-flops (required)
✔️ Book massages early in the day—they sell out fast
✔️ Combine a beer spa session with a thermal bath for ultimate relaxation
📍 Where is it?
Located in City Park, Széchenyi is easily reached by metro (Line 1, Széchenyi Fürdő stop).
🌟 Why I Loved It
This wasn’t just a spa day—it felt like stepping into a Hungarian wellness ritual. The combination of thermal waters, soothing massages, and a beer spa made it one of the most unique travel experiences of my life.
📌 Tip: Visit in the evening to relax after a full day of exploring Budapest.

Great hotel for an overnight stay
This hotel is really close to Budapest airport there is a free reliable shuttle service.
The hotel is a little dated inside but is extremely clean & staff are really helpful.
Restaurant has a wide choice of food & served until late & breakfast offers lots of items both hot & cold.
If you have a late/early flight it is a great inexpensive place to stay.

Never fly with WIZZ Air
Flying with WiZZ Air has been by far my worst experience
First of all my first fly from Malta to Budapest was delayed several times with more of 2 hours
Inline check in for my second flight to Amman didn’t work, so i had to go to the check in desk only to find it like u see in the picture.
What happened that they had almost 10 flights at the same time approximately and they only open the check in for all of it at once same place same time before almost an hour and a half from flight departure
After waiting they start calling for the destination to skip lines which made more chaos
Finally after standing there for ever i reach my flight at the last minute (literally) if it was 2 minutes more i would have missed it
So as an advice to every one never go with Wizz Air especially through Budapest

Spring Sweets at the Airport
At Budapest Airport in spring, the cafés and patisseries are filled with an irresistible selection of seasonal sweet treats, offering travelers a delicious taste of Hungary before their journey continues. As the soft spring sunlight filters through the terminal windows, glass display cases shine with beautifully crafted pastries, chocolates, and desserts, tempting those with a sweet tooth.
Paired with a strong espresso or a smooth latte, these sweet treats provide a perfect moment of relaxation amid the lively airport atmosphere. Whether waiting for a flight or enjoying a brief stopover, Budapest Airport’s springtime desserts offer a final taste of Hungarian tradition before heading to your next destination.

Shop and Relax while Travelling
With its Duty-free stores stocked with an array of Hungarian specialties, from Tokaji wines and paprika to handmade chocolates, perfect for picking up a small souvenir the 2hour stopover at Budapest Airport passes very quickly. Comfortable lounge areas offer a place to relax, while the large windows reveal glimpses of planes taxiing on the runway, ready to take passengers to their next destination.
Though brief, the stopover at Budapest Airport is a smooth and pleasant interlude, filled with just enough time to stretch, recharge, and enjoy a hint of Hungary before continuing the journey to a springtime getaway.

Turkish Airlines Inflight Meal from Budapest to Incheon
I flew from Budapest to Incheon on Turkish Airlines!
I had a layover in Istanbul, and in-flight meals were served three times in total.
From Budapest to Istanbul, they served once right after boarding, and from Istanbul to Incheon, they served twice because it was a long distance. I could choose between Turkish food, Korean food, and Western food, but I was worried about the spices, so I ordered Western food, and they were all delicious. Also, the bread that was served every time I had in-flight meals was really tasty, and it was amazing when I spread jam on it.. I thought Turkish Airlines was a bakery lol

The in-flight meals at China Eastern Airport are filling and filling
[Section✈️]
I left Japan for Hungary after a transfer in Shanghai.
🇯🇵→🇨🇳→🇭🇺
[In-flight meal introduction]
◎2nd photo
・Section...Japan🇯🇵→Shanghai🇨🇳
・Time...Dinner
〈Contents〉
・Main dish→Fried noodles with chunks of chicken (like salad chicken)
・Small bowl→Ham, Shumai, Kinpira burdock
・Small bag→Peanuts (salty), mini taiyaki
・Cup→Water
〈Details〉
Perhaps because it was a flight from Japan, the seasoning was very Japanese! Personally, it was the tastiest one♡
The fried noodles in particular were incredibly delicious!
When I made the reservation, it said that the meal served at this time was a "light meal," so I was surprised at the amount lol
◎3rd photo
・Route... Shanghai🇨🇳→ Hungary🇭🇺
・Time... Late night
〈Contents〉
・Main dish→ Meat pasta (or so I was told)
・Small bowl→ Bamboo shoots mixed with shrimp・Cherry tomatoes
→ Chocolate cake
・Small bag→ Peanuts (salty)
→ Cookie-like snack?
・Cup→ Water
〈Details〉
The overall flavor is a bit unusual in Japan, and the flavor is quite strong. But it was delicious. I wasn't sure what kind of noodle dish the main dish was, but it was quite strong, so it's likely to be a matter of likes and dislikes. I think it was probably pickles that were served with it.
The chocolate cake was light and easy to eat! But I was full lol
◎4th photo
・Route... Shanghai🇨🇳 → Hungary🇭🇺
・Time... A few hours before arrival, around early morning
〈Contents〉
・Main dish → Chinese style baozi
・Yogurt
・Daifuku
・Cup... A jelly-like thing with a bean paste filling like yokan
・Paper cup... You can choose your favorite drink
(The photo shows pineapple juice)
〈Details〉
I was excited to have the Chinese food I was looking forward to!
The main dish was a mix of meat and bean paste! The yogurt was smooth and a little different from the Japanese version. It came with honey, so I poured it on and it was delicious! However, the honey had a slightly strong flavor, so some people may not like it.
◎5th photo
・Route... Probably Hungary🇭🇺→Shanghai🇨🇳 on the return flight
・Time... Lunch
〈Contents〉
・Main dish→Pasta and meat dish
(This was also said to be meat pasta)
・Small dish→Simple salad with tomatoes and cucumbers
Fruit platter
・Small bag→Bread
・Paper carton→Orange juice
〈Details〉
It wasn't Japanese-like, but it was easy to eat!
It was probably Hungarian seasoning. It was a taste you don't get in Japan, but it was delicious and filling!
The portions were just too big overall!!! lol
When using China Eastern Airlines, it seems there's no need to reserve meals in advance☺️#Inflight meal #Shanghai #Hungary #China #China Eastern Airlines

How to get from Budapest Airport to the city center 🚐
#JapanAirlineEvent
Budapest Airport is located far from the city center,
so using public transportation is essential!
The cheapest way is to take the 100E bus
and get off in the city near your accommodation :)
The 100E bus ticket machine is outside the airport,
so I recommend using the ticket office inside the airport ~

📍Platinum Lounge/Budapest
#0yentravelJanuary2025 #Hungary #overseastravel
Platinum Lounge, the card lounge I used at Liszt Florence International Airport in Hungary☕️
Priority Pass holders can use it for free🌟
It was located on the departure floor of the Schengen area, opposite gate A8☺️
As it was close to closing time, the food on the buffet table was almost gone and was not replenished💦
The space was small, but there were many sofa seats and it was comfortable to relax in🤍

‘Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport’ is not very large, but it has all the necessary stores. Among them, there are many food courts on the 2nd floor of the departure hall, so there are not many empty seats, so I recommend that you reserve a seat in advance and then order food.

Right next to the airport
This hotel is a little pricey but it is right next to the hotel, a mere 300m walk away. Very good for an early morning flight. Breakfast cafe was open at 4am! There is a self check in kiosk at the hotel lobby which can print boarding passes and luggage tags - beats queuing at the departure terminal at the airport for sure. Breakfast buffet spread was wide and my kids enjoyed it.

Sunsets over soaring skies ✨
#bestsunset As my plane soared through the sky, leaving Budapest behind and heading toward London, the most breathtaking sunset unfolded before my eyes. The horizon blazed in vibrant hues of orange, pink, and gold, casting a warm glow over the clouds. It felt surreal, like I was suspended between worlds, watching the day quietly slip away. For a moment, everything below seemed distant and quiet, while the sky above burned with the beauty of a perfect ending to the day.

Hungary 🇭🇺 | The airport in Budapest is quite convenient!
It is a good choice to transit in Budapest, Hungary!
The airport is quite large, with two sides:
One side is the international line, the other side is the European line
But after security check, both sides can pass through
I believe many guests will stay at the airport for transfer.
Therefore, the airport also has many entertainment facilities and restaurants for guests to use.
There is a piano in the airport🎹 and a children's playground🛝
Adults can play football games, and the hotel is considerate for transfer passengers.
In addition, the staff here are very friendly and the security check process went smoothly.

Budapest Airport, Hungary
#July Travel Support Event From Budapest Airport, Hungary to Korea.
The LOT Airlines check-in counter and tax refund counter were located in the same terminal. After checking in, you go through security, then the duty-free zone, and then you go through immigration.
Usually, you go through immigration and then the duty-free zone.. So it's a perfect structure to miss your flight while shopping.

Getting from Budapest Airport to the city center in Hungary
#July Travel Support Event The most popular way to get to the airport in Budapest, Hungary is by bus. You need to buy a bus ticket at the bus stop outside the airport. The bus takes about 40 minutes and is like a city bus in Korea. There are so many people that you have to stand with your carrier, which is quite difficult.

Budapest - Prague Ryanair ✈️
#TravelSupportEvent
I flew from Budapest to Prague
and ended up on the infamous Ryanair!
But, my luggage was a little overweight
but they were cool with it ㅎㅎㅎ
There were no delays and we departed and arrived on time~
The landing was also smooth!!
I recommend taking Ryanair!
It was cheap and I was very satisfied 👍🏻
