Maya “The Beach” 🏝️
#beachvacations Maya Bay is a stunningly picturesque bay located on the uninhabited Phi Phi island in Phuket. It gained widespread international recognition after being featured in the movie "The Beach." The bay is celebrated for its crystal-clear turquoise waters, powdery white sand beaches, and towering limestone cliffs. It's a popular spot for snorkelling, swimming, and simply basking in the natural beauty of the surroundings. Due to its allure, Maya Bay has become a must-visit destination for travellers seeking a tropical paradise experience in Phuket.
Noted: We visited here through a tour group you can find and check out here at trip.com. There, you can get around this island; and other islands for a day trip , it’s cheaper and easier! But if you want more adventure, you can also rent a private boat 🚤

"Ventured into the mesmerizing Maya Bay in Krabi, the iconic filming location of 'The Beach.' 🏝️ Crystal-clear turquoise waters embraced by towering cliffs create a cinematic paradise. Standing on this sandy haven, it's impossible not to feel the magic of the silver screen. Nature's artistry at its finest. The reputable Maya Bay.
This island has been through so much. From being just absolutely stunning to getting polluted to getting back its glory. People are still not allowed to swim as this is now the sanctuary of a growing shark. Yeah! I saw the baby shark myself. Kudos to the Thai government for taking so much care of this precious treasure! I hope they'll continue to take actions for sustainable tourism. #instatravel #beachlife #trip #islandhopping #destination

If you are looking for a perfect slice of paradise then take the day trip to Maya beach from Phuket in Thailand. As it is a national park, you cannot stay on the island for that long and they are doing a good job at keeping g it environmentally friendly.
My top tip would be to go during the afternoon as there will be less crowds. Once you are at the beach, you can find small shops and information signs about the beach itself. Along the way to Maya Bay, there is a boardwalk to protect the natural environment and information about the flora and fauna that exist in that area which is interesting to read
Maya Bay, Phi Phi Island
#bangkoktrip
Maya Bay is a stunning natural attraction on Phi Phi Leh Island. The bay itself boasts stunning limestone cliffs, crystal-clear waters, and a gorgeous beach, which made it famous worldwide after being featured in the movie "The Beach." However, to preserve the fragile ecosystem and allow for its recovery, the Thai government temporarily closed Maya Bay to tourists.
Visitors' access to Maya Bay has been limited, and it's now under careful management to protect the coral reefs and marine life.

Maya Bay in Thailand
Maya Bay, Thailand. Made famous by the movie "The Beach" with Leonardo DiCaprio. It was breathtakingly beautiful in person! The local government doesn't allow tourists to swim in this beach anymore to help preserve it.
Maya Bay was closed from 2018 to 2022 to help the beach ecosystem recover from the damage caught by tourism. It has recently reopened so visitors have to follow the rules to protect the marine life.
Maya Bay can only be visited from 10:00 to 16:00, and visitors must adhere to the one-hour time limit.

Maya Bay Beaches🏖️⛱️☺️🥰
#timetotravel
Maya Bay is definitely one of the most wonderful beaches in the world. Exactly as you see on the photos, maybe even better. You can make great pictures easily. Even the beach was pretty crowded at the time we still got to take solo pictures with no people there. It is really beautiful, it is really hot and you can’t drink on the beach. It is well known from the DiCaprio movie. The people are really strict there and you can’t enter in the water more then your knees. But definitely worth seeing it. It was part of our round trip to Phi Phi so definitely recommend going here 10/10.
The Beautiful Maya Bay🤩🌊🇹🇭
#timetotravel
Maya Bay is one of the most popular beaches in Thailand. It featured in the famous travel movie The Beach, with Leonardo di Caprio, which instantly added it to everyone’s Thailand itinerary.
It’s a relatively small cove, but hidden in a very deep lagoon. It’s particularly famous for the towering cliffs that surround it, which appear to seal away the entrance to the lagoon.
With its clear emerald water, towering green cliffs and pristine white sand, Maya Bay is blessed with a truly unique scenery.
Maya Bay is located on the western side of Koh Phi Phi Leh, in the Phi Phi Islands archipelago. Although it’s technically part of the Krabi province, it’s quite close to Phuket, which is why many travellers visit Maya Bay as part of their Phuket itinerary.

A TRIP AROUND THE PHI PHI ISLANDS, MAYA BAY!
Koh Phi Phi📍
We day-tripped from Koh Lanta to the Phi Phi Islands to explore the top tourist spots.
Maya Bay was our first stop & we had heard lots of negativity about it not meeting expectations. So our expectations were pretty low. Yes, there were crowds upon crowds of tourists. And yes, the toilets made me heave multiple times. However, the beach truly is beautiful. And the sand is so white and so so soft.
Next, we went to Viking Bay - I found it interesting that this is where they harvest bird nests to make traditional Chinese soup?! How random.
We snorkelled nearby & I’ve never snorkelled before. For my first experience, it surely was a frightening one😂 Firstly, I couldn’t get my snorkel to work. Constant mouthfuls of water & waves hitting me in the face. Finally, when I could breath & actually see what was beneath me, I instantly regretted it. Two Blacktip Reef Sharks in the water below. I have Ellie telling me that there were trigger fish in the water (not nice fish) & also saying that there was a barracuda (it was not, in fact, a barracuda). So, the entire time, I was freaking out :) After the second shark sighting, it was a fast swim back to the
boat.
We then headed to the main part of Phi Phi, Phi Phi Don, to have some lunch and look around shops- there was a lovely Burger King & McDonald’s facing eachother👯♀️
Finally, we went to Bamboo Island where we swam in the crystal clear water & had the absolute best time. I think Bamboo Island has the best water we’ve ever swam in.
Overall, we had such a fun day exploring Phi Phi & we are so glad that we just did a day trip, instead of staying on the super party island!

Explore Maya bay for clear waters and shoots
If you have a chance to visit Krabi or Phuket, do check out Maya Bay, a part of Phi Phi island by boat.
It is easily accessible and you can take nice shoots with the clear, green waters as backdrop.
Tend to be crowded so suggest going early for a good shoot, or walking further down the waters to area less populated.
It has an entry fee of 400 baht so do come prepared with cash for those keen
Maya Bay ✨
Maya Bay is a stunning bay with white sand and blue crystal water located in Thailand. It became very famous because of the movie “The beach” by Leonardo Dicaprio.
The bay was closed for many years due to human activity such as littering , destruction and deterioration of the coral, damaging the environment in general…but after recovering, Maya Bay has finally reopened to tourists, although now the bay has strict rules that everyone has to follow.
It is not possible to swim, anchor in the bay
and there is a limitation about the amount of daily visitors.
I recommend you to visit it during the first shift in the morning to avoid crowds, despite of the rules it is still an amazing place to see and enjoy the nature.

The most clear bay in the world
#bucketlistreboot
Maya Bay, located on the island of Koh Phi Phi, is by far Thailand's most popular and touristic island, where Leonardo Di Caprio's movie The Beach was filmed.
It's a wonder of the world, where people flock all the time, and in high season to avoid hiding.
We took a full day tour from Patong Beach on our way to this island, so we didn't pay the entrance fee. You should definitely come here.
In this place where swimming is prohibited, it really takes your breath away with its deep blue sea. I'm sure you'll be dazzled when you get here.

Thailand’s famous Maya Bay
Maya Bay, located on the island of Koh Phi Phi, has become one of Thailand's most well-known and visited places after the filming of Leonardo Di Caprio's The Beach movie.
If you have an exotic trip plan, Maya Bay is one of the most stunning tourist destinations to visit in Thailand with its pearly white sands and clear blue sea.
I believe it will be helpful to be aware that swimming is not permitted in Maya Bay so that you won't be surprised if you there. Also, to preserve the biological balance and natural beauty of the area, Maya Bay's entrances are closed at certain times of the year. If possible, avoid visiting Maya Bay during these certain periods.

Maya For Sure!!
Magical as its name suggests. Picturesque location and a photographers' delight. The bay area is a beautiful spot to spend an afternoon, not allowed to swim here, but that is not required either. Just spend your time along the coast and enjoy the lovely localer. We did 2 trips to maya bay while in phi phi. The first was part of the shipwrecked cruise that brought us there in the late afternoon for about 25 mins. It was dull and busy and rushed. Nothing worth seeing. We were so disappointed we decided to go back and try again. The second time we rented a long tail boat at 6.30am and went over and it was just magical! An empty maya bay watching the sun come up in peace, it was just amazing. If you are going to see maya bay get up early and take a long tail boat or don’t bother going! #mayabay #thailand #heaven
Thailand's iconic Maya Bay!
I had the chance to travel to Maya Bay. A bay that many people see as the most beautiful in Thailand. Yes, it's what everyone says. This bay is very beautiful, the water is crystal clear. After the park is closed for 3 years to restore nature This time we saw a lot of sharks. The nature here is really rich. I believe that if everyone who sees this picture, do you want to visit Maya Bay already? #beachlife #summervacation #nationalpark #awesomepic
THE BEACH
Maya Bay, Phi Phi Leh Krabi
Imagine a stunning beach cove, located 30 minutes away from a populated island. A cove whose crystal emerald waters are almost glowing, the sand silky soft under your feet, the surrounding cliff faces beautifully dominant in a protective hug and where the surrounding choppy waters protect the enclave from human invaders.
This is indeed my imagination of Maya Bay which is indeed real and for real true! Of course aside from those human invaders who I can not put out of the picture since everyday Maya Bay has a lot of visitors as if taking chances if Leonardo di Caprio will appear in this awesome beach. Since I'm a self confess film location enthusiast, Maya Bay from the movie "The Beach" is in my "must set foot" list when I arrived here in Thailand almost two years ago.
Now, I able to experience the stunning beauty of Maya Bay. Good thing we arrived there almost late afternoon so the thousand crowd subsided but still there are hundred crowd during our time those people who were trying hard to get their best snap on Thailand’s most famous bay, me included! Hahahaah. 😉😀

Maya Bay
Maya Bay in Phi Phi island phuket is one of the best beach vacation i travelled with! It's great they discover this coz it takes more than an hour tru speed boat to go here. Only 6-8 people allowed here, and the hotel arranged a booking for us for this island tour, catch us up a private vehicle going to a pier, they also provide a lunch for us, including fruits and drinks along the trip. Expect also a sun burn coz you cant resist to take a swimming with the clearest sea water, finest white sands! When you travel in Phuket, make sure dont miss this island hopping! The bog rocks are all natural with amazing rock formation!
Snorkeling at Maya Bay
Snorkeling and diving are excellent through out Maya Bay. Many tour companies bring visitors here to snorkel from Phuket. During our visit here, the time when the bay is still open for tourists, it was packed. Crowds coming in and speed boats lined up. So the best thing to do is snorkeling around. With the view of the big reef, you will enjoy the scenery. The high cliffs surrounding it is beautiful. This place is one of the main attractions and favourite stops of Phi Phi Island tour in Phuket. It has become the main tourist attraction of Phi Phi since The Beach was filmed here in 1999. It's white and soft sand is stunningly wonderful. Tried to write my name thereon just for fun .

The Beach 1999
Maya Bay is a spectacularly picturesque bay surrounded on three sides by 100-meter-high cliffs. There are various beaches within the bay, the majority of which are small and only accessible at low tide. The biggest one is approximately 200 meters long, with silky soft white sand, undersea colorful coral, and exotic species in crystal clear water; the entire bay is one enormous reef.
Since the 1999 filming of The Beach at Phi Phi, Maya Bay has been the island's most popular tourist destination. It had always been popular before to the film, but now even those who have never heard of Phi Phi have heard about Maya Bay.

Being quite sick from all those boat rides already we decided to head out again with a private boat tour the morning after. This time our destination was a very famous one: Maya Bay which is well known from the film called „the beach“ with Leonardo di Cabrio. As the beach itself was closed unfortunately, we remained in the bay in front of the beach to do some snorkeling. The water was crystal clear and arriving early in the morning gave us the chance to enjoy this scenery alone without masses of tourists. Traveling to Thailand can be busy sometimes, but when you do it right you can enjoy nature alone as well. It’s just a matter of planning :) Hope you enjoy the impressions so far!
