Meitetsu Grand Hotel is directly connected to Meitetsu Nagoya Station and Kintetsu Nagoya Station. If you go to the opposite side of the city view, you can see all the JR tracks. It's irresistible for train lovers. The bed is made of Airweave. I hope you'll sleep well. However, since I use the same type of Airweave myself, I felt that the mattress itself was a little old in terms of comfort. The room colors are calm and nice. The bathroom is relatively large and the walls are made of brown panels. There is a coffee machine, and the lobby sells Blue Seal ice cream and a small number of Nagoya souvenirs. The front desk is spacious and very polite, and there is a banquet hall, so it is lively. And above all, it is directly connected to the station and relatively affordable. (There is also the JR option) Buy a 980 yen ticket from the automatic ticket machine. Meitetsu trains have both fast and slow options, with the same price. Since the arrival time was about the same, I chose the earlier slow train. It was quite pleasant to take a leisurely ride! 🌟Highlights: The location of Meitetsu Grand Hotel is very convenient, right at Nagoya Station (look for the Meitetsu Department Store sign). Recognize the HARBS cake shop and Sekai no Tebasaki (World's Chicken Wings) signs downstairs, and you will find the hotel's vintage elevator. 🛏Room Facilities: The room faces the street with a great view, though it can be a bit noisy at night. The Meitetsu Bus Terminal for trips to Takayama is also in the same building, making it very convenient! 🍽Dining Recommendations: Besides packing HARBS fruit mille-feuille/strawberry cake, you must try the eel three ways at Maruya Honten Meieki branch on the 9th floor of Meitetsu Department Store (pictures 6-7)! It's highly recommended to go early to avoid long lines. Shopping near Nagoya Station is also great. I recommend visiting the Starbucks at JR Nagoya Station, where you can enjoy a view of the railway from upstairs. Starbucks in Japan is half the price, and the menu has Chinese. Even if your elders don't speak Japanese or English, communication is seamless. 👍Most Recommended: Meitetsu Department Store supermarket, where fresh fruits are discounted every evening. Last night's accommodation before returning, stayed at Meitetsu Grand Hotel, Nagoya. Overall, it is very good. **Outside the hotel, walk across the street and there are famous brand department stores such as Louis Versace, etc. The high society area, walk a little further and there is a minimart at JR Nagoya train station. There are inexpensive food and drinks. Most of the people are working people.
