Unlike the pale pink cherry blossoms in mainland Japan, the park is covered with around 20,000 Kanhi-zakura trees, which have vibrant, deep pink flowers. The contrast between the bright blossoms and the blue Okinawan sky was absolutely stunning! Walking along the paths lined with sakura trees, I felt completely immersed in spring.
