London's Museum of Natural History
Getting There - take the underground tube to South Kensington and it's just a short walk to the Natural History Museum.
Attractions - the museum itself holds 1000s of exhibits from dinosaurs, to exotic animals. There's large exhibition spaces, but also intimate displays where you can learn about the current extinction of certain animals.
Hotels - hotels are countless around London, and being an accessible city means you can reach the museum from anywhere. I'd recommend staying in Earls Court.
Food & Restaurants - There's a cafe inside the museum, and lots of restaurants around outside.

As an international metropolitan city, London is home to a huge array of various types of museums. In the tens of museums in London, the first one is obviously the famous Natural History Museum. I have decided to head to this place purely out of a fun misunderstanding. I kept thinking this is where the movie “Night at the Museum” was shot. in fact, the entire trilogy of the “Night at the Museum” was not filmed here.
The Natural History Museum is a historic Victorian building. Here you will find over 70 million items of global history and biological evolution on exhibition. The time frame of these items span from the Jurassic times, to the 19th Century when Charles Darwin publicized his Evolution Theory. The Natural History Museum is also a globally renowned center for research, specializing in the categorization, identification and preservation of biological beings. The building itself is also one not to be missed - it is a work of art typical of England’s traditional architectural style.
The Natural History Museum is separated into 4 main exhibition zones and are marked with different colors, which are orange, blue, green and red. Blue is known for its exhibition of items pertaining to the dinosaurs and mammals. It is also the most popular zone in the entire museum. Red Zone is the geology zone. Not only do you get to experience for yourself what an earthquake feels like and see a mock explosion of a volcano, you can also learn about the Big Bang and what our solar system would look like a couple billion of years from now. The Green zone is a zone for life and environment. Here you will primarily find fossils from birds, reptiles and minerals. The Orange Zone is the Wildlife biological garden and the Darwin center. A lot of free family events are hosted here regularly.

The most fascinating museum in UK
There are many natural history museums worldwide, but the one in London is something special – arguably the best there is! The museum boasts an enormous collection of specimens from the natural world. Visitors can discover the tip of the iceberg in person at the museum and go online afterwards to explore some of the items not on display. When you visit London’s Natural History Museum, prepare to be blown away from the moment you step inside. Not least thanks to the giant blue whale skeleton (named Hope), who hangs in the entrance hall. Climb the stairs past Darwin’s statue and get ready to discover the world. #trip #travel #holiday #UK #London #Culture #History
The Natural History Museum is a must-visit when touring London
The crown jewel of the Natural History Museum is the enormous whale skeleton. The museum isn't very large, with the first half dedicated to human evolution and the species of Homo sapiens. The second and third floors are about the seismic activity caused by the movement of the Earth's crust, with an area where you can experience the shaking of an earthquake, which is quite shocking. There are also gems 💎 mined from the mineral areas.
The latter half of the museum features various animal specimens and fossils.
I also discovered a secret: many toys and souvenirs in toy stores and memorabilia shops abroad are 【made in china】😂

This is a big whale and more! Whale! Whale!
It's such a pity that I didn't take a picture of the exterior, it really is just a whole big castle, and once you enter
you're completely immersed in a 'Night at the Museum' vibe
It was a rushed first visit because there was only one hour left until closing, so I didn't get to look around properly, I was totally captivated by the main hall (it's definitely a great spot for photos with the girls) I must go back and take a proper look next time!
The staff highly recommend making a reservation, but walk-ins are also fine, however, you can only stand in the cold wind and watch enviously as people with tickets enter one by one while your own line doesn't move at all (but entering from the VA side door, I tested and it only took 5mins to queue, and once inside it's a different area, walking through the connecting passage will get you to the main hall where the big whale hangs)

📍The National Gallery
A must-visit for those who love Western art history🖼️ Van Gogh's Sunflowers, Monet's Water Lilies are all here, 🉑rent an audio guide, very friendly for art beginners✌️ Note that photography is not allowed in some exhibition areas⚠️
📍Natural History Museum
One of the best natural history museums in the world, the most impressive exhibits are the huge and complete blue whale skeleton🐋 and the dinosaur skeletons about three or four stories high🦖 It feels like being in the movie 'Night at the Museum', especially suitable for parents to visit with children👨👩👧

📍The Wallace Collection
Nowhere else can you feel the strong British aristocratic style more than here👸 The exhibits, paintings, and interior decorations can all be described as 'exquisitely beautiful', and sisters who like to take photos remember to wear black and white clothes, which stand out against the highly saturated background📸

Smaller than The National Gallery, but it is one of the art exhibitions in London that you must not miss, with collections that are pivotal in the history of painting👍 For example, the treasure of the museum—Van Gogh's self-portrait
📍London Transport Museum
The museum includes vehicles from 1820's horse-drawn carriages, buses🚌 trains🚃 subways🚇 taxis🚕, including the iconic red double-decker bus, and you can even simulate driving in the driver's seat❗
Classic London Museum
A must see when visiting London. Like most London museums this is feee and just asks for a donation. The building is impressive in itself with its vast entrance hall and whale skeleton suspended from the ceiling. The various halls house different exhibitions and the modern annex is about the natural geographic world. A full day trip. The dinosaur exhibition is particularly popular. Go early in the morning to miss the queues.
