Chaoyang Zhen Stone Park: A Perfect Fusion of History and Nature
Located in Chaoyang District of Beijing, Chaoyang Zhen Stone Park is a historical and cultural garden that integrates cultural relic protection with leisurely sightseeing. Here, steles serve as carriers of historical and cultural information, known as 'speaking stones,' holding a wealth of historical memories. To protect these scattered inscriptions, Chaoyang District has collected the steles from various places to this site for restoration and protection, and named this concentrated area 'Chaoyang Zhen Stone Park'.
Chaoyang Zhen Stone Park covers an area of about 1000 square meters, with majestic Huabiao (ornamental columns) standing on both sides of the entrance. On the west side of the garden's paths, stone carvings, tombstones, temple steles, and chronological steles are displayed, while the east side showcases tombstones. These stone relics contain rich historical and cultural values, and the contents recorded on the Hupao, Zhu Mala, Fei Yanggu, and Sanhe tombstones can fill gaps in historical records such as the 'Draft History of Qing'. The Xuande Guo Gong imperial edict stele bears the decree of the Hongxi Emperor of the Ming Dynasty, who reigned for only one year; the tombstone of Fa Li is inscribed by Chen Yixi, a calligrapher from the Qing Dynasty, using a running script font that is not commonly seen in Qing Dynasty tombstones.
Chaoyang Zhen Stone Park organically combines cultural relic protection with leisurely sightseeing, becoming an important site in Chaoyang District for inheriting historical context and promoting excellent traditional culture. Strolling through the shady trees of Zhen Stone Park, you can enjoy the lush natural beauty while contemplating the profound heritage of Chaoyang. Here, history and nature blend perfectly, offering you a unique cultural journey.
Welcome to Chaoyang Zhen Stone Park, where we invite you to listen to the echoes of history and feel the charm of excellent traditional culture. Here, you will spend an unforgettable time and create precious memories.

I captured the hydrangeas of May at Olympic Forest Park 🫧
-
This year's hydrangeas are not as big as last year's.
I failed to take pictures of the hydrangeas at Zizhuyuan Park.
I went to Olympic Forest Park on a whim and found them here!!
Although the area is not large, the photos turned out great 👍🏻.
I really like this bench, a big cluster of hydrangeas hanging down 🌿 so beautiful.
There is a flower wall nearby, I saw people taking wedding photos there~
The bench is quite popular, everyone is lining up to take selfies 🤳.
I saw a young lady brought an 🍦 ice cream cone as a prop, so cute!!
I didn't have an ice cream cone, so I used a straw hat instead~

🗺️ Enter from the South Gate - in the direction of the Forest Theater, follow the lakeside and you will see it.

Beijing | April in the world, open summer with the hydrangeas of Olympic Forest Park
As April passes the halfway mark, it's the annual season to photograph hydrangeas in the Olympic Forest Park.
This year is different from the past with large areas in bloom.
Many hydrangeas have been moved away,
leaving only a very small part for photography.
Hydrangea flowers seem like a gift from nature,
pure white and lovely like clouds, interspersed with green, clustered together.
They monopolize the tenderness of late spring and early summer.
If you want to take beautiful photos, come to Olympic Forest Park and check in at the same spot.~
Today's check-in spots for viewing:
① The popular bench (by the small river)
It's really a hotspot for check-ins.
Keep shooting, endlessly, with no end in sight.
Waited a long time but didn't get the right photo.
All the good angles are always occupied.
Not feeling very good about it.
② Rose Friendship Garden (near Station 8)
Not many people, but not as lush as the popular bench.
But it's also more photogenic.
If you want to take quiet and beautiful photos, it's recommended to go there.
🌸Tips
🚇 Take the subway line 8, get off at South Gate of Forest Park Station to reach the destination.
🚇 Take the subway line 8, get off at Lincuiqiao Station to enter through the West Gate via the National Speed Skating Oval (since it's a bit far, you can ride a bike from the subway station to the park's west gate).
☕ There's a coffee shop at the park entrance, coffee lovers can buy a cup before entering the park.
The park is quite large and the weather is hot, be sure to stay hydrated.

🌸Beijing Flower Viewing Season🌸, seas of flowers are waiting for you!
🌼In March, the spring breeze is not as good as you, and the magnolia flowers in Tanzhe Temple are in full bloom. Elegant and pure, they are like messengers of spring, bringing you the first warmth.
🌸In April, peach and cherry blossoms compete in beauty. The peach blossom sea in Shilibao is like a brocade of flowers, as if you are in a pink fairy tale world. The peach blossoms in the Olympic Forest Park are as splendid as clouds, making people linger.
🌺In May, peonies bloom in all their majestic glory. The peony garden in Jingshan Park is full of peonies of various colors, graceful and charming, showing off their national beauty and heavenly fragrance.
🌻In June, a sea of sunflowers is waiting for you. The sunflower sea in the Olympic Forest Park is a golden expanse, like the sun shining all over the earth, bringing endless warmth and hope.
🌹In July, the fragrance of roses fills the air. In the World Rose Garden, thousands of acres of roses bloom in competition, their fragrance overflowing, intoxicating those who smell them.
🌼In August, the golden sunflowers and the blue sky make an interesting contrast. The sunflower sea in Miyun is an endless expanse of sunflowers, as passionate and brilliant as the sun, bringing you the vitality and enthusiasm of summer.
🌸Every flower has its unique beauty, and every garden has its unique scenery. This spring, let's walk into Beijing's gardens together and feel the charm of nature.

Experience the romance of spring with a walk in the Olympic Forest Park amidst the blooming flowers
📢📢📢 Wow! The flowers in the Olympic Forest Park have basically all bloomed. Pick a sunny day, dress up beautifully, and head to the park to feel the romance of spring.
⛺【Play Tips】: You don't necessarily have to go to Peach Blossom Valley. In fact, the flowers throughout the park are almost in full bloom. Peach blossoms, pear blossoms, magnolias, and forsythias are all competing to bloom. Get ready for sunscreen and you can set off at any time.
🛬【Itinerary】: The park is too big, so with kids it's purely a 'stop-and-go' play style
🕓 Park visiting time: April 2, 2024
✨ Entrance: Enter from the north gate of the Olympic Forest Park
✅ After entering, choose to stroll on the right side. Most of the flowers have fully bloomed. You can casually choose a side and visit each one by one. Red, pink, white, and yellow flowers are all in sight. In the moment when the breeze blows, if you happen to stand under a tree, the petals falling with the wind will scatter on your head and shoulders, a beauty that probably can't be captured by a camera.
✅ Wear light-colored clothes, and you'll look beautiful no matter how you pose for photos
✅ For those who love sports, you can run, play frisbee, or skateboard
🧡【Tips】:
① Not far from the entrance, there are various carts for rent, which you can choose based on the size and stamina of the children
② Be sure to bring enough water for the kids, and simply carry some snacks and fruits
③ If you're playing for a long time, you can also bring a picnic mat (we didn't bring one, the kids just sat down anywhere)

Encounter the pink romance of early autumn.
In the golden October, the Muhlenbergia capillaris has entered its best viewing period. It's pink and fluffy, like fog, smoke, and clouds, a rare color for autumn. From a distance, it forms a pink ocean, dreamy and romantic.
The location of Muhlenbergia capillaris is in the North Park of the Olympic Forest Park, near the west gate, adjacent to the Cosmos garden area. (A route map is attached in the photo)
It's truly heartbreaking to see many trampled and flattened Muhlenbergia capillaris. In fact, there are ridges and paths within the Muhlenbergia capillaris, and standing among them to take photos is like being in a sea of flowers, without the need to trample on the plants. I hope everyone will visit the park civilly and not destroy the environmental beauty for their own vanity.

2024! That's it for the peach blossoms in Beijing!!
This year, I mainly visited four places:
Olympic Forest Park | Peach Blossom Valley
tips:
1. It's quite crowded, so you need to get up early
2. The area by the water is great for taking photos, but be careful
3. You can look for other peach blossoms in the North Garden to avoid the crowds and get the best shots
Summer Palace | West Causeway
tips:
Residents of Beijing and visitors should all come here, but it gets crowded. Choose a weekday with good weather to avoid disappointment
Qinghe Riverside | Yanjing Theological Seminary
tips:
Very few people, and you can also take photos with the church. Just search directly on the map
Beijing's Back Garden | Baihuajian
tips:
The peach blossoms here are a bit whiter, but the hillsides covered with peach blossoms are still quite spectacular. You can hike and enjoy the spring together
There are so many peach blossoms in Beijing, in the residential areas, along the roads, everyone has their own 'peach blossom ceiling'
Next, pear blossoms, crabapples, and roses will bloom one after another.

Afternoon Walk in Beijing
#cherryblossom2024
Went here for afternoon walk, turns out found another beautiful spot of flower blooms here. There are several colors and kinds of the flowers that you can witness here. The name of the park is Beijing Olympic Forest Park. It's also connected with Beijing Olympic Park, and located close to the stadium. Many people came here for jogging and sightseeing with their loved ones. You can also do sailing boat (they provide this kind of service too) while enjoying good weather of spring!
To reach this attraction, the best way is to get on Beijing Subway (MRT) and stop at 北京奥林匹克 森林公园(Olympic Forest Park Station) and you can take exit B or C.

The greenery and blue skies of Olympic Forest Park's citywalk fill the youth with a sense of fulfillment
📷 I've finally found the best spot for taking photos in Olympic Forest Park!
📍Locations
1️⃣ On the small hill opposite the Chinese Arts and Crafts Museum, to the left you can capture the Olympic Tower and the blue sky, to the right you can capture the river surface and the Bird's Nest, and with a zoomed-in focus, the youthfulness is doubled.
2️⃣ At the lakeside road from the Olympic Tower towards the Bird's Nest, there is a pier that extends out, offering unbeatable photo opportunities, and you can also use the railing to create a sense of extension.
☁️🍃 These two spots are enough to capture the Olympic Tower and the Bird's Nest!
‼️ As the most important Olympic section of Beijing's central axis, Olympic Forest Park is full of surprises throughout the year.
🚴🏻 Since you're up, don't miss out on the other attractions besides the Bird's Nest and the Olympic Tower:
1️⃣ The Water Cube -- National Aquatics Center
2️⃣ Olympic Forest Park -- picturesque in all seasons, with different spots to visit each season, like sunflowers, ground cover grass, etc., super beautiful!
3️⃣ The Ice Ribbon -- National Speed Skating Oval, a cool place to visit in summer, ice skating is also open to the public, and both admission and skating have separate charges, but the prices are reasonable.
4️⃣ Nearby is the Chinese Arts and Crafts Museum, which is well worth a visit, with the nation's craftwork being the most beautiful! The museum's exhibitions are updated periodically, and you might encounter surprises.
5️⃣ The China National Museum of Archaeology, very experienced but especially hard to book, because it is said to be limited to 500 people per day, so be sure to book at least 3 days in advance, it's full of impressive treasures.
✅ Apart from Olympic Forest Park, which does not require advance booking for a visit, all other places do.
🛼 Time it right, full of energy, and you can visit all the Olympic landmark buildings.
🧢 Spring is just around the corner, put on some green, and set off for a spring outing!

Visit here in March to see the 'Three Lives Three Worlds, Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms' in Beijing
The Peach Blossom Valley in the Olympic Forest Park is probably the largest peach blossom forest in the Beijing urban area. It's really super beautiful in March!
It is recommended to enter from the West Gate of the North Garden, which is the nearest route. After entering, walk along the right-hand side for about ten minutes, and you will be able to see the peach blossoms. If you don't want to walk, you can choose to take an electric cart to the Peach Blossom Valley and other attractions right after entering the gate.
The attractions in Peach Blossom Valley are mainly divided into two areas: the northern and the southern parts. The northern area is the main area for flower viewing, while the southern area is a highly praised lake view area. When viewing the flowers, you can choose to stand on the mountain or by the water, or walk along the paths to experience different scenery.
Transportation routes:
🚇 Take Line 8 to the Lin Cui Qiao Station, then walk or ride a bike to the West Gate of the North Garden
🚗 Navigate directly to the West Gate of the North Garden, there is a parking lot, which is very convenient

The charm of flower fields in the North Park of Olympic Forest Park
After the sunflowers in the North Park, the new planting preparation begins. This year's design is really good, the area near the runway is planted with ground cover grass, the middle is a large area of pink muhly grass, and the National Day holiday is the most beautiful display. Further south, a large area is planted with Gesang flowers and various chrysanthemums, interspersed with yellow sunflowers, which are in their prime. Under the light of early morning or evening, they look particularly beautiful.

Still want to squeeze into the crowd for the beauty of flowers? The sea of Aster flowers in Olympic Forest Park is less crowded and more beautiful, waiting for you
❤️Unexpectedly, there are seas of flowers everywhere in Beijing at the end of September, and many people have recently visited the popular Olympic Forest Park. I found that there is a relatively hidden corner with a large area of Aster flowers, and it is a beautiful hillside.
🉑The area where this sea of flowers is located is the ecological corridor of the Olympic Forest Park. A large number of local trees, shrubs, grasses, and ground cover plants in Beijing are planted on the corridor, which physically connects the two parks in the north and the south, which is of great significance.
☘️If you are here for flower viewing, you can see an unprecedentedly beautiful sea of flowers, with all kinds of flowers, especially the large area of Aster flowers is particularly eye-catching. Although the weather is not sunny, because they are planted in a large area, they are endless, and the visual effect is also very unique. The swaying Aster flowers. The colors are purple, pink, and red, which are particularly delicate, giving people a feeling of cherishing time, just like the good harvest accumulated in this autumn, it is very beautiful.
⏰When to go? The flowering period seems to be short, probably 15 days? So this recent period (from the end of September to mid-October) is all right, and it takes about 1.5 hours to roam the sea of flowers
🌈What time to go? Because there are big trees blocking, I think the early and late moments are not particularly suitable, the morning and afternoon are suitable
🧧What scenery is worth seeing? In addition to the large area of flower sea, there are also winding paths and chairs and other scenery
🏠What facilities are worth noting? There are toilets and beverage machines and other facilities around the sea of flowers, which is very convenient
📷About the photo location: Enter the sea of flowers through the small road, don't worry about the location problem. Wide-angle lens can take small people and big scenes, and telephoto lens can blur flowers and highlight people
🚗How to get there? Just position the ecological corridor directly, it is recommended to drive to the parking lot of the North Garden South Gate, and then walk a short distance to get there
☎️How to buy tickets and make reservations? Free park Just go directly
🔥Those must-see TIPS before going to check in:
1. There are many mosquitoes, pay attention to protection
2. The plants have thorns, just don't get stung
3. After watering, it is muddy, change to suitable shoes
Specific location: Between the North Park and the South Park of the Olympic Forest, above the Fifth Ring Road, position the ecological corridor
Opening hours: Same as the park opening hours
Play type: Internet celebrity check-in Scenic photography

At the south gate of the South Park of the Olympic Forest Park, the light show of the Olympic Tower is also very colorful this time, and light spots and photo check-in points are arranged inside and outside the south gate. There were not many people who arrived after 6 o'clock on Friday night, and people began to increase when they left at 7 o'clock. It's not cold to walk around.

Olympic Forest Park
The forest part is free and very big, including the south park and the north park. It has a 10.7 km track, which attracts a lot of people to run in the park. Except in winter, the park is filled with people, running, walking, strolling and camping on weekends. Try not to go there on weekends if you want away from crowds, or try to go as early as you can in the morning. There won't be less people in the late afternoon because the park is next to the Birds Nest and Water Cubic, and many people visit the park first and then go to watch the night-time lighting of the Birds nest and Water Cubic.
