A Day Trip to Oxford City Centre@Spring Tour in the UK
Compared to the hustle and bustle of London, I prefer the leisurely pace of Oxford, where walking on the streets feels especially comfortable; 😊
Oxford hardly has any skyscrapers, and the buildings on the streets are full of British charm. Every street and alley is perfect for taking photos, so beautiful! 😍
During my day trip to the Oxford city centre, I visited many popular attractions, big and small. From the Ashmolean Museum, I wandered around Oxford University and its surrounding colleges such as St. John's College, Keble College, the Oxford University Museum of Natural History, the University Church of St Mary the Virgin, and Hertford College (famous for the Bridge of Sighs)... and so on; 📷💯
When I got tired, I found a beautifully decorated restaurant and ordered the national delicacy Fish and Chips, which was so satisfying! After the meal, I went to the largest shopping centre in the city centre, Westgate, for some shopping to end a wonderful day trip in Oxford. 🥰
*Trip coins are the greatest benefit for Trip.com members. Earning more Trip coins by purchasing flight tickets and booking hotels is the motivation for your next trip. I have also used Trip coins to deduct some of the cost of the Japan JR pass before, which is very practical!*

On the second day, beam me up at Oxford station
Time: Friday 10th February 2024
Location: O2 Academy Oxford
Known for the prestigious University of Oxford, beam me up will kick off the second day of live music. Are you ready to explore this legendary place known for producing brilliant minds? Here are some must-visit local attractions in Oxford for you!
1. University of Oxford
The University of Oxford is located in the city of Oxford, England, and is one of the oldest universities in the country. There are no gates or walls to mark its boundaries; instead, over thirty quaint and solemn college buildings are scattered across the streets of Oxford. Cobblestone streets weave through the campus, and the atmosphere is filled with a literary and elegant charm.
2. Bridge of Sighs
The Hertford Bridge, commonly known as the Bridge of Sighs, is a pedestrian bridge in Oxford, England, spanning New College Lane and connecting the north and south parts of Hertford College. It bears a striking resemblance to the Rialto Bridge in Venice. Walking through the University of Oxford and seeing this Bridge of Sighs can be quite romantic.
3. Oxford University Museum of Natural History
The Oxford University Museum of Natural History houses a collection of natural history specimens. The museum's first curator was the geologist John Phillips, who was one of the main skeptics of Darwin's theory of evolution. What attracts people here are the more than 5 million natural history collections, ranging from strange insects and fossils to the massive skeletons of Tyrannosaurus rex, offering an overwhelming array of sights.

Should you visit the Oxford University Museum of Natural History??
This incredible museum showcases Oxford University’s natural history specimens. The museum was founded by Henry Acland in 1860, and therefore the building itself contains extreme architectural beauty.
This museum is one of my favourites in the UK, a fantastic way to spend a few hours when visiting Oxford!
