Another Gaudi attraction in Barcelona 🇪🇸!!!!!
#timetotravel
Magnificent architecture with mosaic tiles in a massive park. Gaudi is definitely way ahead of his time!!!
Definitely be prepared you will have a long walk because the individual attractions are quite far apart from each other. It is advised to bring plenty of water and an umbrella if you can because it is not shaded.
Note: remember to get tickets in advance because the attraction is really busy and tickets do get sold out!!

An excellent and fun morning at Park Güell
Park Güell is a private park located in Barcelona near La said and El Coll neighborhoods. If you are staying in Barceloneta or Barcelona Center, I will suggest you to get the metro L3 and get off and the Lesseps or Vallarta stops, which is 20 mins walking to the Park. Unfortunately, you do have to pay do get in the park. The cost of the ticket is 10 euro and it will cost extra to visit Gaudi house located in the park. I have researched a little bit and I saw that there are some ways to get into the park for FREE, however, since I was there for short time and it was a last minute plan I didn’t have time to sign up for a free entrance! If you’re curious to know how to get there please contact me!
TIPS: wear comfortable shoes, bring some cash(there are many vendors selling cute items), and carry a hat!

Gaudi’s Park Guell
Park Guell is a large park outside of Barcelona displaying a wide array of Antoni Gaudi’s work. I never found much appeal when seeing Gaudi’s art pieces and buildings in photographs, but only after seeing the works in their original and intended settings did I understand you must “experience” Gaudi’s works to appreciate them. Park Guell was an inspirational place to walk around and admire the beautiful mosiacs, buildings, and structures. It is a bit far from Barcelona city centre, but a few different bus lines can get you there, and the trip is well worth it!

Park Güell, Barcelona Summary
Getting There - Requires walking up a steep hill or alternatively taking the bus. The nearest metros are both a 15 min walk away and the walk is mostly up hill.
Description - The park is very beautiful and the views of the city are stunning. It is the most efficient and cheapest way to take in Gaudí architecture in the city of Barcelona. Other Gaudí experiences are quite expensive to enter. This park has many Gaudí designed buildings to explore so it's certainly more value for money than any other attraction in the city. The best times to visit are on sunny days, either in the morning or afternoon when it's a bit cooler since you'll be doing a lot of walking uphill however it's important to note that the area directly around the park isn't the best for getting food/drink afterwards so plan to travel somewhere else once you're done. I would estimate that 2hrs is enough time to see the park, some photo opportunities are more crowded than others so expect to queue for the best shots, especially if there are tour groups at the time you're visiting.

MUST VISIT 🇪🇸 Park Güell in Barcelona
Getting There - by Metro 🚇 Vallcarca, then walk about 12 mins to reach the park as it located up hill.
Address: 08024, Barcelona Spain
Attractions - Park Güell , world of Gaudi
Must buy ticket online in advance as they always sold out. Recommended to get ticket with third party apps like : Pelago by Singapore Airlines or download Tiqets App ($13.50 Euros). You're able to choose date and timing. If you purchase from official website is much more expensive. You can't buy ticket on the spot there as they will not be selling any.
You are allowed to enter early than your schedule time. Mine ticket was 4pm but 3:30pm I already went in. 😊 Remember to screenshot your ticket and save in library as the connection there is terrible. You might not always connected to 4G data.
Park Güell is a privatized park system composed of gardens and architectural elements located on Carmel Hill, in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain.
When you visit here, prepare like for a small hike, as this place is up on a steep hill and it's a big garden you need time to explore fully. Make sure to grab the map at the entrance and bottle of water.
The garden is big and has many sights to see, it is advisable to come here either in the morning or as out of season as you can, otherwise you can't see much of the sights due to tourists.
The architecture is impressive and placed perfectly around the park.

Barcelona is one of the historical city in the world. There is lots of attractions for you to visit! For example, Casa Batlló, La Sagrada Familia , Park Güell and so on. Today, I have been La Sagrada Familia and the view is absolutely stunning. This church is the most iconic building of Antoni Gaudí's unique style and you will definitely like it! Now they are still building as the church isn’t finished yet. However, the view nowadays is already enough for you to feel the greatest art and works in this century . Let’s come along and visit Barcelona !

A Gaudi love affair 🎆
Park Guell is one of the masterpieces of the Catalan architect Antoni Gaudi, who projected it in 1900. Inaugurated as a public park in 1926, it was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1984, reconizing its patrimonial and cultural value as a symbol of modern architecture, being one of the biggest exponents of Gaudi's modernism. This playful urban park, the work of architect Antoni Gaudi, features peaceful greens, winding paths and many sculptures and mosaics designed by Gaudi himself.
I would definitely recommend to visit this spot when in Barcelona. If you start feeling hungry, there are reasonably priced cafes outside of the park ✌️

The must-visit Park Guell in Barcelona
My local friend suggested that I could spend 2 hours here, so I reserved about 3 hours before heading to another tourist spot where I bought the ticket (they popular tourist attractions there always require advance reservations with specific timeslot) but personally I could easily spend 5 hours there because of the beautifully designed houses and the pleasant walk around it. The map given in the park will guide you through the hill with three crosses and a biodiversity walk, if they are your things. #parkguell #barcelona #architecture #gaudi

I wanted to come to visit Barcelona as I wanted to visit Nou Camp, home of FC Barcelona. Thus, when I was in Barcelona, I took the chance to visit other places. One of them is Park Guell.
Park Guell is a park located on Carmel Hill in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. I remembered fondly that as it was located up on a hill, I got to enjoy the panoramic view of the city from up there. I took some photos that I was quite pleased with. The park not only consisted of many trees, it also had many ceramic architecture. It was really an unique park. As it was the fall season, it was very cooling despite being in the open.
Address: Carrer d'Olot, 13, 08024 Barcelona, Spain
Park Guell @Barcelona
Park Guell is a private park located on Carmen Hill in Barcelona. What made this park famous and you should visit it while in Barcelona is because it has a beautiful garden with stunning architecture, designed by Antoni Gaudi.
This park represents a modern architecture design by Gaudi, his masterpiece can be seen here, such as small pieces of broken ceramic within the building and the bench in several locations within this park.
Park Guell viewpoint is the most popular landmark in this park, with a beautiful design surrounding this location, especially the broken ceramic. From this location, visitors can view the city of Barcelona.
Don't miss The House Casa del Guarda, a cute little house near the main entrance, designed By Antoni Gaudi.
This park is part of the UNESCO world heritage site.

Park Guell is one of the most impressive public parks in the world. The park is located in Barcelona and was designed by famous architect Antonio Gaudi.
Gaudi planned and directed the construction of the park from 1900 to 1914 for Eusebi Guell for a residential park intended for sixty single- family residences. The project, however, was unsuccessful and the park became city property in 1923.
Though never fully completed, it still remains one of Gaudi’s most colorful and playful works.
On any day, and especially on weekends, you can see hordes of tourists and locals staring awestruck at the gingerbread gatehouses and snapping photos of the giant ceramic lizard/dragon on the stairs that lead up the hillside.

The park sits on a hill top which provides a spectacular view over the city. 🏢The architecture, the design of the rocks , the benches decorated with colorful mosaic were beautiful and unique. The entrance fee is a reasonable . it can be reach easily just a 15 min drive for city centre 🛺🛺. however do note that there is a distance from the entrance to the main attraction , which is the lizard . 🦎🦎can very crowded during peak season . Beautiful and spacious. You can either walk at your own pace or have a guide show you around and teach you about all of the Gaudí architecture. there are shop at the exit selling thing related to Gudi but is not cheap
The entrance to the Park Güell is an entrance to Paradise on earth and this is accomplishes by use of symbols, color and fantasy forms. To further intrigue visitors, theatrical element has been added into the final design. #Barcelona #Spain

All structure in Park Guell employs curved stone columns as well as local brick and stone to preserve the natural feeling of the landscape.
Most importantly, Gaudí mixes his flamboyant style with nature to come up with structures that rise from the ground like trees but are identifiable as built elements never-the-less.

This childish Guer Park was built a hundred years ago and is not very easy to find compared to other Gaud buildings. It is recommended to take a taxi early.
Here is the design of Gaudi's Mr. Boleguel. Guer's love is as good as life, and he spends a lot of money. His accountant complains about it:
"I worked hard to fill Guer's money, and Gaudi will be fine again and again." "
Imagine if there would be no Gaudi in these big heads, it would be worse than Van Gogh.
Everyone loves Anthony Gaud.
He is a arrogant designer and a simple and hardworking construction worker. His architectural works not only give everyone a novel aesthetic experience, but his persistence and enthusiasm also bring a lot of power to those who are on the road.
Step into the world of fairy tales, there are two animal fountains at the door, one is a chameleon, representing the patron saint of Catalonia,
the other is a large lizard, it is Catalo The coat of arms of Nia. The morning light illuminates the colorful mosaics of lizards and chameleons.
Going up the steps, I saw a lot of large pillars. There are a total of 86 pillars. The space supported is called the Baizhu Hall, which was originally used for the market.
On the roof of the Baizhu Hall, there is a crooked colored bench, which is built of stone and covered with colorful mosaics. The chair is like a stream, like a water snake. Take a seat here and take a look back at the unfamiliar childrens fantasies. When you cross the rocky promenade, you will force the wings of your imagination. At that time, the forest and the big stones are alive!
Guell Park is divided into public areas and toll areas. We bought the tickets online in advance, booked for 3 o'clock admission. In the spare time waiting for admission, we went to the public garden area, and honestly said that if you don't go to the toll area, the park can still be enjoyed. But the essence of the beauty of this place is in the toll area. Every wall in the park is covered with completely different tiles. Spain is a country that esteems the ceramic tile culture, especially in Barcelona and Seville. From the steps next to the fountain, you can see the Baizhu Hall and the buildings supported by 86 Tao Like columns. It is difficult to guess that it was originally a market. Raise your head, and you can see the cute patterns on the top. Gaudi's design is always full of little surprises. Guell Park is also a place where people from all over the world are crazy about Gaudi’s design, even if it is just an unfinished place. It seems that something innovative is always appreciated. From this lizard-like staircase, you can climb the park's most elite small square. The square is surrounded by a curved bench with mosaics. Some people call it a long snake seat.
Hidden Gems of Gaudi
Exploring Park Güell in Barcelona is like stepping into an architectural wonderland, where the genius of Antoni Gaudí truly comes to life. This park isn't just a green space; it's a showcase of Gaudí's imaginative and innovative design style, blending natural forms with architectural brilliance. My visit here was not just a walk in the park; it was an immersive experience into art, nature, and the visionary mind of Gaudí.
The mosaic serpentine bench, the whimsical gingerbread gatehouses, and the iconic salamander "El Drac" at the park's entrance are just the tip of the iceberg. Every corner of Park Güell is meticulously designed, offering countless photo opportunities and moments of awe. To truly appreciate the detail and thought put into each design, I recommend taking a guided tour. The insights and stories behind each creation added depth to my visit, making it more memorable.
Timing is crucial for a visit to Park Güell. Early morning or late afternoon are the best times to avoid the crowds and experience the park's peaceful ambiance. The golden hour brings out the vibrant colors of the mosaics, creating a magical atmosphere that's perfect for photography.
Comfortable walking shoes are a must, as the park's terrain includes steep paths and stairs. Also, bring water and snacks, as the cafe inside is a bit pricey and can get crowded.
One thing that stood out to me was the sense of community and respect among the visitors. Everyone seemed to share an appreciation for Gaudí's work, making it a very respectful and enjoyable environment.
My visit to Park Güell was a highlight of my trip to Barcelona, offering not just a break from the city's hustle and bustle but a journey into the imaginative world of one of the most innovative architects of all time.

A few years ago, I explored the captivating Park Güell in Barcelona. Designed by the renowned architect Antoni Gaudí, the park mesmerized me with its breathtaking architecture and imaginative elements.
The vibrant mosaic tiles, whimsical sculptures, and unique organic forms showcased Gaudí's distinctive style. The iconic lizard sculpture, known as "El Drac," welcomed visitors with its colorful tiles and playful design. As I strolled through the park, the panoramic views of Barcelona and the Mediterranean Sea added to the overall enchantment.
The architectural details, from the undulating benches to the gingerbread-like houses, reflected Gaudí's genius and creativity. Park Güell is truly a masterpiece, blending nature and art seamlessly, creating an unforgettable experience for anyone who appreciates architectural marvels.
In 2024, I wish to visit Melaka.

Beautiful views over Barcelona, incredible artistry, design and architecture. Relatively cheap entry. Highly recommend going at sun down/golden hour…magnificent scenes! If you’re doing a running tour, you can even get a few laps in at quieter times with plenty of elevation gain! Entry is quite cheap too. All round winning tourist stop.

Colorful park - Park Güell
The central area of the park is composed of a huge open oval square, with three uniquely shaped fountains in the center, the most famous of which is called Gaudi Dragon, which has the appearance of a giant lizard.
Ascending the steps, you will reach a hall supported by 86 Doric columns, known as the "Hall of a Hundred Columns". Originally planned as a market where residents could set up stalls and street musicians could perform, the Hall of a Hundred Columns is now a magnificent space. Above the hall is a circular plaza, with winding benches along the edge, resembling a colorful snake coiled on the plaza, overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. This is probably the longest and most beautiful bench in the world, covered with beautiful tiles that form various patterns and images, like a fairy tale world.
Gaudi's consistent style is inherited in Park Güell, where all design elements come from nature. Gaudi had a sincere love for nature and transformed mountains, rivers, trees, flowers, and animals into his designs. Therefore, the beauty of nature is the source of art!
The paradise of modern architecture in Barcelona.
On May 4th, 2019, I took advantage of the weekend to visit the busiest city in Spain, Barcelona, for two days. Many famous modern buildings in the city left a deep impression on me. During the two days, I visited Guell Park, Sant Pau Hospital, bullring, Sagrada Familia, Arc de Triomf, Castle Park, Cathedral, Palau de la Musica Catalana, Placa de Catalunya, Palau de la Virreina, Columbus Monument, National Art Museum, fountains, twin towers, and Plaza de Espana. I walked more than 20 kilometers on the first day.
The most impressive buildings are:
1. Despite being under construction for over 240 years (with construction cranes still present, and reportedly set to be completed in 2026), the Sagrada Familia designed by Gaudi is still awe-inspiring with its complex and massive decorative towers! This church is listed as a World Heritage Site, but I personally find another Gaudi work, Park Guell, to be just average. I think Gaudi's works are too luxurious and not very practical.
2 St. Paul's Hospital, magnificent and palace-like. It is also a world cultural heritage.
3 Palau de la Música Catalana, with its exterior full of colorful glass, tiles, and floral decorations, features a spectacular dome and a variety of rich artistic decorations inside, colorful and magnificent!
4 Sculptures: The Castle Park Tower and the Columbus Sculpture by the seaside are very beautiful.
5 Plaza de España, magnificent, full of artistic and cultural atmosphere.
In short, among the more than 30 major European cities I have visited, Barcelona can definitely be ranked in the top five. My ranking is Rome, Paris, Barcelona, Prague, London, Vienna. Of course, I have not been to Eastern European cities such as Istanbul, St. Petersburg, and Moscow, so I dare not comment on them.
During the economic crisis in Spain, with 30% of Spaniards unemployed and the relatively affluent Catalonia region in the east seeking independence, street order was not very good. In broad daylight, my selfie stick was snatched by a local young man in his twenties. I was taking photos with my phone at the time, and the selfie stick was in my coat pocket. When I felt my clothes move and turned around, the thief had already run several meters away. I chased him for a few steps but eventually gave up for safety reasons. From now on, I will try to travel with companions when visiting Western Europe.
