pu yuan ( 濮院 ） - beautiful scenic tourist place to see, relax and sit in a small boat while travelling down small canal. you can stay inside the tourist place or just outside (which i did). it also includes unlimited entry to pu yuan in the hotel price.

I was fortunate to have some free time to visit Hangzhou, and coincidentally stayed in Puyuan. After checking in during the afternoon, I took the opportunity to stroll around Puyuan. The town exudes an ancient charm, with shopkeepers dressed in traditional attire, making it feel like stepping back in time. As I left, the timing was perfect to witness the sunset. Puyuan is more rustic, with Jiangnan views right outside your window. The itinerary included Puyuan Fashion Ancient Town, which is an excellent way to combine accommodation and sightseeing in limited time. The Pujin Grand Hotel where we checked in is not inside the scenic area but across the street from it. The hotel offers convenient access to Puyuan Ancient Town, just a 10-minute walk away. Hotel guests can enter the ancient town unlimited times with facial recognition, without purchasing tickets. Pujin Grand Hotel features a traditional Chinese design with upturned eaves, dougong brackets, white walls, black tiles, and pavilions, creating an elegant and classical atmosphere. As a newly opened hotel, the facilities are certainly excellent. The standard twin room we checked in was spacious and clean. The bathroom has separate shower, toilet, and washbasin areas, with double sinks for added convenience. The window overlooks a courtyard with a clear pond and pavilion. Sitting by the window with a pot of tea is incredibly relaxing.

I really wanted to go last year, but I couldn't fit it into my schedule. Finally, I made it to Puyuan Fashion Ancient Town during the Qingming Festival holiday! I took amazing photos of the town during the day and at night! Compared to other ancient towns in Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai, there are very few tourists here. And the Puyuan building complex is huge! I didn't have to wait at all to take photos at any of the popular spots. I was the only one in the scenic area wearing a red Hanfu, which really stood out in this ink-style ancient town. I was being photographed everywhere I went. (Night photos are in P12-16) ✅️Photo guide: 1⃣ Shufang Zen Garden: A classic and must-see spot. The lighting is better in the evening. 2⃣ Beigeng Tower: Limited-time wisteria waterfall in April! It's stunning! There are also riverside crabapple blossoms that look like white snow in the distance! 3⃣ Fushan Temple: You can go inside and take photos during the day. The ginkgo trees are just starting to turn green. Although they are not as beautiful as in autumn, the architecture is truly stunning. The arched stone bridge is at the main entrance. 4⃣ Tingyu Pavilion: They create artificial rain even when it's not raining! I've never seen anything like it! 5⃣ Puyuan has many window views and framed scenes. You can discover amazing corners everywhere you go. ⚠️Many people may not like Puyuan, as the core commercial area is only around Siwan Street and Lazhu Street. Other places are practically empty.
