Capturing Memories: A Journey into Photography
The story of how I got into photography.
I always thought that this is more of a hobby for people with a bad memory. They are sentimental but forgetful. Time will pass, they will start sorting through the photographs, and everything will repeat itself again - dawn on the roof of a nine-story building, a noisy company with a guitar, the right wing of a dove rushing away from the roof, the wry muzzle of the watchman, who showed interest in what was happening at the wrong time...
It seems to me that the passion for photography woke up in me because of my laziness. When I was 14-18 y.o. I drew a lot, later my love for brushes subsided, and then I discovered that with the help of a camera you can also get a beautiful picture.
Not everyone shared my ideas about the miraculous. It is understandable, because I shot literally everything that came across my eyes and under my arm, and besides, I could not part with any of the pictures I took.
But my boyfriend especially got it.
When I first bought a camera, in the morning the first thing he saw, opening his eyes, was the barrel of my camera. “…again…” he said with surprise, while I recorded the process of awakening in the man of the beast. However, in general, he held up quite well and for a long time.
The frames that I got, I kept in a distant folder on the computer. They were terrible. A young man eating a piece of meat, apparently detached from some other young man. A young man who returned home from work and a little surprised that instead of lunch he was met by a girl with a camera. Even when the tired victim wanted to retire to places of individual use, he did not have peace there either, I was already waiting for him outside.
In short, since I realized that soon, instead of another twisted face of a loved one, I would shoot his back moving away from me, it was time to leave him alone and grow somewhere in the other direction.
So I started shooting for Instagram. And if you scroll down my blog, you can find this very unfortunate guy, and passers-by, whom I photographed in Berlin, and just random shots.
But now it’s my full-time job and that’s how everything started ;)
