[2025 Obihiro Hotels] Travel Guide for Richmond Hotel Obihiro Ekimae (Updated Aug)

This trip was originally just a stop in Obihiro during our road trip. I was surprised to find that both the accommodation and the food were so satisfying 👍 First, the accommodation: The Richmond Hotel, right next to Obihiro Station. The hotel's interior design is stunning, and the lobby and second-floor lounge areas are very comfortable 👍. The breakfast was surprisingly generous and each item was thoughtfully prepared. We'll definitely be back next time. As for food: The ramen restaurants and izakayas nearby are both excellent in quality and value, and well worth a try. Unfortunately, I had to rush off to the Three Lakes of Eastern Hokkaido the next morning. Next time, I'll definitely plan an extra day to fully experience life in Obihiro. ❤️

Richmond Hotel Obihiro Ekimae, which I booked on Trip.com, was a great deal, costing about 8,000 yen for one person with breakfast included, even during the long weekend. The hotel is located just north of Obihiro Station, so it's very convenient to use the train and the airport bus to Obihiro Airport. Parking is charged separately, and the parking lot directly connected to the hotel tends to fill up quickly, but you can park in the affiliated parking lot for the same price, so you don't have to worry. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable! I liked the large table by the window, which was easy to use. Amenities were placed around the front desk, and you could take what you needed yourself. The bath salts were very helpful during the cold winter♨️ You also receive a welcome drink voucher for each stay, and you can have a glass of alcohol or a soft drink at the restaurant (breakfast venue) on the first floor🍺 The most recommended thing about the hotel is the breakfast🍽️ You can enjoy high-quality dishes in a buffet format, such as the seafood bowl you can make yourself, the pork bowl, a specialty of Obihiro, which is freshly grilled every time, and other vegetables and curries that allow you to taste the ingredients😋 Overall, it was a very satisfying stay! As soon as I entered the hotel lobby, the warm lighting and exquisite decor caught my eye. The front desk staff greeted me with a smile and enthusiastically checked me in. When I opened the door to my room, I was greeted by a breath of fresh air. The room was simply yet tastefully decorated, and the bedding was soft and comfortable, giving me a warm, homey feeling. During my stay, I felt the warmth of home from both the lobby staff and the housekeeping staff. I have to say, from the lobby to the room, from breakfast to the bar, every detail reflects the quality and service of the hotel.
