So far, this is the most comfortable homestay I have stayed in Wuhan during the winter vacation
Ruyi Pavilion Tongxiu Hostel in Putuo Mountain is backed by the Xitian Scenic Area of Putuo Wonders, adjacent to the Financial Street on the right, and the Puji Temple, the largest temple in Putuo Mountain, on the left. It is a few hundred meters away from Baibusha Beach, and you can also overlook the Reclining Buddha Luojia Mountain across the sea. The geographical location is excellent!
As you step into Ruyi Pavilion, you will be overwhelmed by the strong Buddhist atmosphere. The overall architecture is in the style of a classical garden, and incorporates the concepts of "following the laws of nature, harmony between man and nature, and secluded life". Buddhist culture is fully displayed in every detail, from architectural decoration to layout, and the profoundness of "Zen is only for those who are attentive" is revealed everywhere. Here, my heart becomes quiet unconsciously.
The hotel has nearly 80 guest rooms, which are distributed in the main building and the quiet back hill. The room is very thoughtfully designed. There are incense burners, flower vases, induction Zen lamps, and sutra manuscripts on the desk. There are fruits and Buddhist books on the couch and coffee table by the window. You can flip through them at will and feel very comfortable. From some rooms in the main building, you can see the temple buildings hidden under the ancient trees, which is like a painting. The soft furnishings are mainly made of sandalwood, cotton and linen, which are simple, elegant and exquisite, full of Zen.
When it comes to food, of course vegetarian food is required in Buddhist holy places. The hotel's "Zhu Pan Zhai" restaurant offers breakfast, lunch, dinner buffets and all-vegetarian banquets, and the taste is amazing! There is also a creative vegetarian afternoon tea. The Yiyexuan Tea House on the first floor has five tea houses, each with its own style. Professional tea artists will make tea for you, and you can enjoy the Zen elegance while tasting tea.
The unique experience is even richer. The third floor is Ruyi Book Gallery, full of books
The incense is decorated with Confucian, Buddhist and Taoist classics, which are suitable for quiet study. The Guanyin Cultural Center on the first floor is a treasure trove of precious cultural relics. The eight themes in the center are arranged according to the history of the development of Buddhism. Each collection is the result of decades of careful collection by the owner. On the underground first floor, there is "Mugui Zen Temple", where morning and evening classes are held every day, allowing you to experience the unique Buddhist atmosphere. Puxin Lecture Hall will occasionally invite eminent monks to give lectures, this is a rare opportunity!
