#Shantou Marriott Hotel Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
Shantou Marriott | Heard this hotel is always fully booked? I'm here to explore~
I've always wanted to experience the food and scenery of Chaoshan!
This time, taking advantage of a business trip to start a short journey in Shantou~
Hotel🏨 Shantou Marriott Hotel
Less than a year after opening, it's often fully booked, and the stay experience really lives up to its reputation~
The hotel incorporates many local Chaoshan features with the traditional 'Four Points Gold' style in the guest rooms, where the art paintings of the Four Points Gold pattern symbolize a house full of gold. The hotel is close to the harbor, and the floor-to-ceiling windows in the rooms offer expansive sea views. Leaning against the window to enjoy the waves and sea charm, the view is fantastic~
The Marriott Chinese restaurant in the hotel serves stunning Chaoshan cuisine~ and there's also beef hotpot🍲
The lobby on the 27th floor offers cloud-high sea and city views, and the same floor's Zhen Kitchen buffet has a rich selection of local seafood and special snacks~
Attraction: Mayu Island⛰️
I didn't choose to go to the landmark park because staying at the Shantou Marriott Hotel, I could see Mayu Island across the sea, so I decided to check out the scenery of Mayu Island~
Coming to the island was a surprise! Few people! Beautiful scenery! Strong folk culture atmosphere It's just a pity that it got colder😮💨 otherwise I could have played in the sea by the beach~

Shantou's new landmark, the Skyline Hotel, Shantou Marriott Executive Apartments
Go with the wind, read what it brings; see the flowers bloom when they will. This saying also applies to those who watch the sea. Although I didn't get a sunny day while staying at the Marriott Executive Apartments at the top of Shantou city, which to some extent was a letdown for the sea view room, the misty weather gave the sea a sense of tranquil mystery. At the same time, the hotel's aesthetic design gave me a sense of literary storytelling, which calmed and delighted my innermost being.
I have been to Shantou many times and have seen its various charms, but staying at the newly opened Shantou Marriott Executive Apartments gave me a fresh perspective on the fashionable and luxurious side of Shantou. As the clouds outside the window gradually dispersed, the beauty of the Inner Bay and Mazu Island became clearer before my eyes. I sat by the window for a long time, drinking pot after pot of Phoenix Dancong tea, waiting for this moment for a long time; 'idling away time' is a luxury in itself.
Luxury is also the omnipresent sense of ceremony, starting from the moment you enter the hotel, you are attracted by a huge patchwork painting representing the Chaoshan residential culture 'four points gold.' The elements inspired by such intangible cultural heritage of Chaoshan are cleverly integrated into the hotel. In the guest rooms, there are two particularly striking features: one vertical and one horizontal. A wall painted with fresh blue-green colors depicts a Chaoshan architectural scene, bringing it to life, while the blue and white waves in the bathroom make one feel as if they are bathing in the gentle sea, and This Works brand bath products refresh both body and mind. The welcome amenities are also stunning, both in appearance and taste, they are perfect.
The hotel check-in is on the 27th floor, and the lobby bar is also on this level. Overlooking Shantou from the sky, there is a sense of youthful vigor and splendor. This floor also has many spots perfect for fashion shoots, undoubtedly making it Shantou's new fashion landmark. The Zhen Kitchen all-day dining restaurant, which has been called the ceiling of Shantou's buffet since its opening, is also on this level, offering not only a rich selection of delicious food but also the enchanting voice of a high-profile foreign singer, making dining a romantic pleasure.
As the first newly opened branded five-star hotel in Shantou in ten years, the Marriott represents the new image of the city. Located in the central CBD of Shantou, Zhugang New Town, which the city is focusing on building as the core urban circle, the hotel is situated at the confluence of the Han River, Rong River, and Lian River, boasting infinite beauty of Shantou's Inner Bay, with the recently popular Mazu Island close at hand. With more than 300 rooms, the hotel has often been fully booked since its opening, allowing guests to enjoy a balanced and comfortable journey. The concept of a relaxed and joyful heart has been favored by more people. When in Shantou, why not start with the Marriott Executive Apartments to explore this charming city?

Chaozhou Hotel Recommendations
Chaozhou Hotel Recommendations
After a two and a half day journey, I made a round trip through Chaozhou,
and I'd like to recommend some hotels,
In Shantou, I stayed at the newly opened Marriott, Marriott Golf Mansion
The overall spatial experience is okay, since it's a new hotel, but the service is quite average, which doesn't really match the positioning of a five-star hotel. Arriving in Shantou at 2 pm, which was already two hours late for check-in, they said the room wasn't ready and I had to wait until after 4 pm to enter the room. The room seemed hastily prepared, and later a cleaning lady came in to check the bathroom to see if anything was missing.
The hotel's amenities are pretty ordinary, with toiletries, beverages, hairdryers, etc., similar to those of Atour Hotel.
After going from Shantou to Chaozhou, I chose a hotel brand that seemed to have a designer style - Bear Plus
The price was just over 1000, not as expensive as Marriott, and not only was the space experience, service, cleanliness, and location better, but the amenities were also better, with Dyson hairdryers, Bvlgari toiletries, Voss mineral water, coconut water, orange juice, and even sweet water delivered in the evening. I highly recommend it.

Checking in at the best hotel in Shantou
For the first time in Shantou, I chose to experience this Marriott hotel.
Room facilities:
This time I chose a standard room, the room is quite large, with two 1.5-meter beds, neat bedding, the bathroom and shower room are separate spaces. The city view is also quite beautiful, the sea view room Q is a bit more expensive.
Parking:
Parking is quite convenient, there are about dozens of ground parking spaces, most of them are parked in the underground garage, and then directly take the elevator to the hotel lobby, the sky lobby bar is on the 27th floor.
Gym:
The gym, swimming pool and SPA are all on the seventh floor. The facilities in the gym are quite complete, running and playing equipment are good choices.
Location and transportation:
No. 28 Zhucheng Road, Longhu District, Shantou City.
Cost performance:
The city view room is 1500+, the sea view room is 2500+, now it is close to the end of the year, I don't know if it is cheaper on non-weekends.
