🌅 Salty Evening Tour: A Time Travel into Tainan (Evening Tour) Anping Branch Office
🏯 Witness to the history of salt industry
The Xiyou Branch Office located in Anping, Tainan, was originally the Anping Branch of the Tainan Branch of the Taiwan Governor-General's Monopoly Bureau during the Japanese colonial period. It was built in 1922 and was once an important base for the salt industry. After the restoration, the building was converted into a dormitory and was listed as a municipal historic site in 2003. Today, this century-old Japanese-style building has been revitalized and reused into a tourist attraction that combines history and culture, allowing people to get a glimpse into the rise and fall and transformation of Taiwan's salt industry.
🎨 The charm of 366-color birthday colored salt
When you enter the Yuyu Branch Office, the most attractive thing is the 366 colors of "Birthday Colored Salt". Each color represents a day of the year and, combined with Japanese color energy analysis, symbolizes personal traits and blessings. In addition, there are also special products such as "snow salt-baked" wrapped and baked with colored salt, as well as salt bags for praying for peace in Mazu, allowing tourists to appreciate the salt culture while also taking back unique souvenirs.
🌇 Japanese style at sunset
The Sunset Walk is not only a cultural attraction, but also a great place to enjoy the sunset. The "Xiyou" in its name is taken from the pronunciation of the Japanese word "salt", "しお (Si-O)", which cleverly combines the salt industry background with the mood of watching the sunset. Here, visitors can stroll through the Japanese garden, feel the strong Japanese sentiment, and experience a journey that combines history, culture and nature in the afterglow of the sunset.
