| A popular hotel where you can take great photos at will. Hotel: La Sultana Marrakech (Sultana Marrakech Luxury Hotel) Location: 403 Rue de La Kasbah, 63-67 rue Boutouille, Marrakesh, located within a UNESCO World Heritage Site in a Moroccan palace; Many Moroccan hotels are named Riad, which is a traditional Moroccan residence, similar to Beijing's courtyard houses. Riad hotels are very local, each hotel has its own central courtyard architecture, most of the hotels transform the courtyard into a swimming pool or a restaurant for guests. This traditional Moroccan-style hotel is located in the old town of Marrakech. You can walk to the open-air square Medina Souq, not far from the Royal Palace, and the popular Zeitoun Café is less than 100 meters walk. The hotel has different room types, and each room type has a different name. My favorite is the hotel's roof top, where you can see a 360-degree panorama of the old town. If you want to experience a hotel with exotic style, this one is perfect! Having stayed in too many business hotels, as soon as you approach this hotel, you can feel its unique exotic atmosphere. The carvings on the walls are over 100 years old, perfectly combining traditional and modern elements. If you like taking photos, any corner of the hotel is a great shot. The hotel's rooftop terrace is trendy, but it also has a traditional Moroccan style. It's so comfortable to go to the hotel's rooftop terrace at dusk and have a drink while watching the sunset! In the evening, you can go to the open-air market to buy some local handicrafts, bags and shoes, look at carpets, spices, and when you're tired, you can go to Argana to eat local Moroccan food.

Morocco is one of the most unique and beautiful destinations I’ve been so far. Although I only visited Marrakech and the Agafay Desert, I am definitely looking forward to exploring more in near future. The accommodation in Marrakech is very unique and the riads, which are small hotels usually run by the locals, are the best places to stay if you’re after real Moroccan feels. They are usually very affordable and the atmosphere inside is nothing like in big chain resorts here in Marrakech. My favourite Riad was Jasmine, located just outside the busy Marrakech centre. The design was simply beautiful- it reminded me a lot of a lush tropical garden. The food served in there was delicious and the hosts were really friendly. Definitely my one of my best stays ever! After spending a few days in Marrakech I drove to Agafay Desert to stay in Sacarabeo Camp- this glamping site has been really high on my bucket list for years and I was extremely happy I managed to book a night stay despite the very low availability. Located in the middle of raw Moroccan landscape, Scarabeo is a stylish tent camp offering loads of fun activities and the best food I had in Morocco. Scarabeo is definitely a must stay! My other favourite stays in Marrakech include La Mammounia and La Sultana which are beautifully designed boutique hotels. Favourite restaurants in town? Definitely Nomad and Limoni. I loved strolling through local markets, visiting Jardine Majorelle and the YSL museum and trying the local cuisine. Unfortunatelly one of the most beautiful gems of Marrakech which is Ben Youssef Madrasa was closed during my trip, but I would definitely recommend visiting once it reopens for travellers again!

Sultana Marrakech

I loved Sultana. From its location to the fabulous rooftop bar, we enjoyed every moment here. The service was also excellent. When we returned to the hotel after traveling around Marrakech, we felt incredibly welcomed. The front desk was unbelievably helpful, and the food was superb. The highest quality service in an architecturally significant riad with the largest rooftop terrace in Marrakech. The concierge arranged a wonderful guide hiking for us in the Atlas Mountains. Breakfast around the pool was special as Isa provided us with the best service we have experienced. A wonderful and peaceful riad. The outside is full of life, but once you enter La Sultana, it's like being in a different world. Everything is made with love. Don't forget the rooms, the pool, and the fabulous rooftop area. The staff is exceptional and friendly.
