#Starlight Night Market Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
Yunnan Xishuangbanna Starlight Night Market Thai girl photo
The Starlight Night Market is located at the foot of the unique 'Dai flavor' building in Xishuangbanna - Hongjing Dajinta, which is the largest and most characteristic night market in the Golden Triangle State. It is not far from the six-country water night market in Gaozhuang, where you can choose to take a boat tour and enjoy the beautiful scenery from different perspectives.
The highlight of the Starlight Night Market is that it reflects the rich Dai culture and customs. Here, you can see the dazzling lights, a variety of characteristic snack stalls, and tourists wearing Dai costumes shuttle among them. In addition, you can also find many local items in the night market.
In general, the Starlight Night Market provides an excellent opportunity for you to experience the fireworks and rich cultural heritage of Xishuangbanna in one place. However, it should be noted that although the food choices in the Starlight Night Market are diverse and local, the prices may not be cheap. Therefore, if you plan to visit the Starlight Night Market, you may need to do some budget planning.
An amazing starlight market you need to visit
Starlight night market in Xishuangbanna is one of the most amazing, craziest night markets in China.
It was complete culture shock on the first night we went. The roads were packed with bikes, cars and people. One could hardly move 😂. The streets were lined with food vendors and little shops. The fragrant smell of Chinese food filled the market as each vendor sold a different traditional dish.
Many people come here to get dressed up in traditional Dai clothing and take pictures all around the market.
Due to the climate in xishuangbanna one can visit this market all year round.
This is a must see at least once. It’s honestly a whole vibe to itself #passionpassport #urbanexplorer

Biggest and best Night Market
The Starlight Night Market in Jinghong City, Xishuangbanna in southwest China's Yunnan Province, is the best place to catch a glimpse of local people's lives if you travel to Xishuangbanna. The market lies along the Lancang-Mekong River, featuring local food and creative handicrafts by the young. Most of the stalls are festooned with colorful oiled paper umbrellas, which evoke a feeling of being in Southeast Asia. It is also a Douyin influencers heaven with endless salons, dress hire and even a vloggers hotel, which takes away from the culture aspect and is quite annoying.

#tripaway These are the boats to take a tour in the river around the popular night marker in Xishuangbanna, Yunnan Province. A totally recommended tour, specially at night when all the lights are on and you have a beautiful sight of the market, temple and hotels around!

, probably the most sparkling place in Xishuangbanna.
May Day travel destination recommendation: Xishuangbanna | Experience a different exotic charm
Xishuangbanna | Experience the exotic charm of the Six-Country Night Market in a different way||Hello! A post-90s solo traveler who loves to travel on a whim, tonight, I'm going to take you on a journey to explore the largest starlight night market in Asia! The night view here is breathtakingly beautiful, with dazzling lights, as if you are in a fairy tale world.
🏰 The starlight night market, lit up at dusk, is adjacent to the Lancang River, and the night market under the lanterns is colorful and bustling with crowds. The first thing you encounter in the night market is groups of beautiful ladies dressed in Dai, Hani, and other ethnic costumes with exquisite makeup, surrounded by photographers carrying big cameras.
🤸🏻♂️ Travel tips:
1️⃣ From left to right, it is mainly a shopping area. Earrings, woven hats, skirts, handmade jewelry, and ornaments are the main items, with prices ranging from tens to hundreds of yuan, but it depends on your own eye to find good items.
2️⃣ If you are with friends, besides tasting the local snacks, you can enjoy the breeze in the barbecue area along the river, eat barbecue, and watch water performances. It's also a rare experience.
3️⃣ Bars are mainly concentrated in the stores at both ends of the Starlight Market, and some are in the Six-Country Water Market. I personally prefer these open-air bars, especially suitable for couples and girlfriends, by the Mekong River, with the night breeze blowing, drinking a refreshing beer, and fully feeling the exotic charm of Southeast Asia.
4️⃣ Regarding the Dai and Wa ethnic costumes that are all over the streets, prices start at 199 yuan. However, you have to queue up, and one photographer leads two or three people (in general, it's a bit of a rip-off). If you want more freedom, you can buy a set yourself, which is not expensive, and take photos however you like. I think the cost-performance ratio is quite good (but it does test your own photography skills).
🍚 Recommended food:
Wan Thai - a dessert shop that I think is quite delicious, the chocolate sticky milk has a surprising taste, and those who like chocolate must try it, coconut jelly and bubble tea are also highly recommended, it's suggested to go to the third store, where there are fewer people and no queues.
Thai Banna Select designer Thai restaurant - the colorful coconut cake is very delicious and suitable as a post-meal dessert, seafood fried noodles and spring rolls are also good.
Thai Coconut Heaven Fragrance·Six-Country Cuisine - curry shrimp is fresh - Laotian spring lotus egg is very appetizing and recommended to try.
📸 Recommended photo spots:
▶️ Starlight Night Market empty stall: Facing the Great Golden Pagoda, stand on the central axis, retreat as far as possible and keep it low, keep it level, the person faces the Great Golden Pagoda and walks, wide-angle shot, monopolizing the feeling of the entire scenic spot.
▶️ Stairs of the Great Golden Pagoda: The person stands on the central axis, the camera position is on the platform centerline, take a low wide-angle shot, with the two luxurious dragon handrails on both sides, it feels very grand.
▶️ Starlight Night Market red brick building area: Go up the steps along the central axis, symmetrical on both sides, find a position that can capture the tip of the Great Golden Pagoda, the person walks upwards, the camera position is below the large steps looking up, the composition is rich.
▶️ White wall of the Great Golden Pagoda: Take a photo of the main body of the Great Golden Pagoda under the white walls on both sides of the Great Golden Pagoda, combine with the plants on both sides, lower the camera position a few steps, a quiet corner, very artistic.
❤️ Everyone has different preferences, more ways to play still need to be discovered and explored by yourself~
Jinghong City, Mekong River Starlight Night Market
Jinghong City, Mekong River Starlight Night Market
The Mekong River Starlight Night Market, located in the Gaozhuang Xishuangbanna scenic area of Jinghong City in the Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture, is one of the emerging night markets.
The Starlight Night Market is one of the new night markets in Xishuangbanna, and it is also one of the attractions in the tourist resort area of Gaozhuang West.
The night market mainly features delicious snacks and various characteristic handicrafts. It is much cleaner than the Binjiang Night Market, probably because of the tourists, and the environment is not dirty or messy. Moreover, when visiting Xishuangbanna, you can't miss out on strolling through the night market.
The night market is composed of small stall owners, some of whom are locals, while others come from all over the world just like tourists. There are many stall owners selling handicrafts, ethnic clothing, gemstone jewelry, etc.
If you don't want to go abroad for the New Year, come here to experience summer in advance!
This place has the only tropical rainforest in China
It is the only oasis on the Tropic of Cancer on Earth
If you don't want to bother going to Southeast Asia, then just take a direct flight or high-speed train here!
.
📍📍
Lush mountains and rivers, no severe cold in winter, no extreme heat in summer
This place is Xishuangbanna!
.
🚶♂️🚶♂️
If you have time, you can go around Xishuangbanna
Manting Park, the vibrant greenery of the Chinese Academy of Sciences Botanical Garden will not disappoint you
But I prefer to wander in the alleys of Jinghong city
Hidden inside are all kinds of interesting shops and coffee houses
In the alleys full of various tropical plants, not far away is the Great Golden Pagoda
On sunny days, every step is a view
.
✅Must-visit attractions in Xishuangbanna
⭐️Starlight Night Market
Compared to the nationally famous night view, I love the daytime Starlight Night Market more
With the Great Golden Pagoda as the backdrop, the standing Buddha pagodas can be seen everywhere
Don't miss the nearby Ganbai Street! A super fresh dopamine fairy-tale color alley
⭐️Xishuangbanna Main Buddhist Temple
The thousand-year-old Main Buddhist Temple has a very exotic charm
More spectacular and eye-catching than the popular temples in Chiang Mai
⭐️Jinghong Great Golden Pagoda
The landmark of Xishuangbanna, the 66.6-meter-tall pagoda is very conspicuous and spectacular!
The alleys near the Great Golden Pagoda are especially suitable for strolling, and there are many treasure shops worth exploring!
⭐️Prajna Temple
Mang City has the Silver Pagoda, Chiang Rai has the White Temple, and Prajna Temple in Xishuangbanna is also not to be missed
Located on the mountain, the Prajna Temple is pure white and holy, especially dazzling under the sun
⭐️Manting Park
Once the royal garden of the Dai King of Xishuangbanna, compared to changing clothes and taking photos in the Starlight Night Market
I recommend friends who want to take ethnic portraits to come here
⭐️Chinese Academy of Sciences Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden
An hour's drive from Gaozhuang, it's like a huge fantasy forest
A huge tropical garden where you can see all kinds of rare plants growing wildly
.
❤️❤️Spring Festival Xishuangbanna travel tips:
1️⃣Xishuangbanna has an airport and a high-speed train station, many cities across the country can reach directly
Direct flight tickets are more expensive, you can consider going to Kunming first, then take a high-speed train for more than 3 hours
2️⃣You can take a taxi in Jinghong city area, but it's hard to get one during holidays, it's recommended to rent a scooter for city tours
If you want to go around, it's recommended to hire a car or rent a car for self-driving
3️⃣For accommodation, it's recommended to stay in Gaozhuang, near the Great Golden Pagoda, where it's convenient for food, drink, and fun
The hotel I stayed at this time is halfway up the mountain, the hotel offers free airport shuttle, and also free shuttle to the Starlight Night Market
Enjoying the panoramic view of Gaozhuang and the Great Golden Pagoda from the hotel is really amazing!
4️⃣Here, it can be summer all year round, you can wear summer clothes during the day
But it's recommended to prepare a slightly thicker coat, as the temperature difference between day and night is quite large, or it can be quite cool on rainy days
Afraid of falling into tourist traps in Xishuangbanna? Just copy this itinerary

▪️Many attractions in Banna are quite far apart, but there are tickets + direct buses, and some attractions (such as the Botanical Garden, Dai Nationality Park) can be reached by minibus from the Banna Bus Station
▪️For those who like rainforest trekking, there are many routes available, including a good trek on Jino Mountain, which takes about a day and can replace the itinerary of the Botanical Garden day, it's not very tiring and is also suitable for children
▪️If you happen to encounter the Water-Splashing Festival, you can directly participate on the main streets and Water-Splashing Square, there's no need to go to the Dai Nationality Park

🏡【 Where to Stay Without Falling into Traps 】
Do not stay in Gaozhuang‼️ Do not stay in Gaozhuang‼️ This is the first step to avoid traps! During the peak season, there are often water and power outages, nearby dining is expensive, and it can be very noisy at night, sometimes until 3 in the morning. It is recommended to stay near the Water-Splashing Square and the south bank of the Lancang River❗️ There are many delicious foods around, it's also quiet, and transportation is more convenient
-
🍧【 How to Eat Without Falling into Traps 】
Do not eat anything at the Starlight Night Market, it's not tasty and expensive❌ The stores opened by locals in the city are all very conscientious😋 There's even grilled fish for 7 yuan a piece, large shrimp for 4 yuan a skewer, and grilled skewers for 1 yuan😭 Sticky rice, vegetable-wrapped fish, grilled fish, pounded chicken feet, smoothies, and Dai-flavored barbecue are all too delicious. Recommended are Luoluo Ice House, Alan Grilled Fish, Bingbing Cool, and Shawan Yedena

🌴【Travel Tips】
❶The temperature difference between day and night in Banna is quite large this season, it can be a bit chilly in the morning and evening, and very hot from 2 pm to 5 pm, so remember to bring an extra long-sleeved jacket, which can also be used for sun protection.
❷The UV rays here are very strong, sisters need to do a good job with sun protection, it's easy to get sunburned!
❸There are quite a lot of mosquitoes, so mosquito repellent is essential! Do not wear short sleeves and shorts when going to the rainforest‼️
Celebrating the Water-Splashing Festival and releasing sky lanterns
❤️ Finally arrived at the long-awaited Xishuangbanna‼️
🌴 Visiting Xishuangbanna this season is truly a worthwhile investment, even if it's not for the Water-Splashing Festival. The stunning environment and delicious food are also reasons for our trip. Especially during this time, the weather is particularly cool and comfortable, not too hot
🚗 Sharing the itinerary
✈️ On the first day, we took a plane to Xishuangbanna, where staff picked us up and took us to the hotel. In the evening, we went to the Starlight Night Market to buy Dai clothing and take photos
🐎 On the second day, I went to the Wild Elephant Valley with friends in the morning and saw Asian wild elephants! We explored the rainforest with the elephants and took many photos. After tasting the elephant meal at noon, we took a car to the Primitive Forest Park! We watched the toe-clipping dance and peacock flying, and those who are brave can experience jungle leaping, 21 projects in 2 hours! Very exciting.
⛲️ The third day was a day full of Dai culture, wearing Dai clothing to Manting Park for photos! The photo success rate was absolutely amazing, and my friends and I walked around all morning, taking photos wherever we went! It is recommended for sisters to wear Dai clothing and just come to Manting Park, as the Total Buddha Temple and Manting Park have a joint ticket, and the scenery is very nice
🐈 On the fourth day in the morning, we checked in at the Dai village. The driver strongly suggested we come here to take a look! The village architecture is very distinctive, and the asphalt roads are very clean! Just casually taking photos is very photogenic, we had coffee here, very comfortable! In the afternoon, we went to the Dai Nationality Garden, where you can feel the lively atmosphere of the Water-Splashing Festival every day at the water-splashing square
🚄 On the fifth day, we could return home. Before leaving, we experienced an authentic Thai massage, and after the massage, I felt much more relaxed both physically and mentally!
Yunnan Trip
From the starting point, head straight to Xishuangbanna to experience the exotic atmosphere.
The Starlight Night Market is dazzling.
The cable car ride in the primeval forest is quite long, so be prepared for sun protection; you might see wild elephants.
Then we went to Lijiang.
Experiencing the charm of the snow-capped mountains.
The night view of Lijiang Ancient Town is really beautiful.
Finally, it's the Dali for just the two of us.
Take slow steps to feel a different landscape.
Very comfortable.
As the saying goes, Xishuangbanna for a group, Dali for a pair.
Do you want to experience the holiday life in Chiang Mai? Then come to Xishuangbanna
Beautiful and fertile Xishuangbanna!
As a frontier of Yunnan, it is connected to the landscapes of Laos and Myanmar, and you can feel the exotic atmosphere without stepping out of the country. This place, with the highest happiness index in Yunnan Province, is an excellent holiday destination all year round~
The only tropical rainforest on the Tropic of Cancer, where sunlight filters through the gaps in the canopy, leaves sway in the wind, layer upon layer, as if entering the scene of the movie 'Avatar';
The only place in China where you can see wild elephants, and even Prince William of the UK has come here to feed them;
Besides, red pandas, macaques, sun bears, deer, white cranes, parrots, gibbons, white rhinos... A real 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them' journey is unfolding;
The Feiting River View Resort Hotel, next to the Starlight Night Market by the Lancang River, offers free airport pick-up, car rental services, and integrated butler services including specialty food, travel planning, etc., providing professional and humanized service experiences, allowing guests to fully enjoy the natural scenery of the tropical rainforest and the local customs of ethnic minorities. The hotel is really a place where every shot is a masterpiece, with spacious, bright, clean, tidy, and comfortable rooms. The girls at the front desk are very professional; they help set up navigation on the map when asked how to get to the scenic area, and they are very clear about each attraction, showing that they are very familiar with their business and have a particularly good attitude. This hotel is truly exceptional, loved it~ loved it~
Almost every city has a night market, but the one that is never absent throughout the year is only in Xishuangbanna. The highly popular Starlight Night Market instantly transports you to Thailand! A variety of stalls, unique food, all sorts of novel trinkets... During this rare cool time of the day, the place is bustling with people, lights converge into a dazzling river of stars, and it's the most comfortable~
Xishuangbanna 4 Days 3 Nights High-Quality Travel Guide!!
I went to Xishuangbanna in mid-December
I only recently remembered to organize the guide (procrastination...
I hope everyone can have fun and avoid pitfalls!
1️⃣Manting Imperial Garden
The Dai King's royal garden🎫40! I bought the Dai costume for 25r at a roadside stall! So cheap I could cry!! Took photos with sisters, there are also photographers at the entrance of the scenic area, about 100 or more, if you come alone you can find one, but the quality varies! Sisters, be sure to keep your eyes peeled
2️⃣Starlight Night Market
The night view is really beautiful, free entry just scan 🐴 to get in! The photo studio I found to take pictures of the Western Region Princess was a letdown, not recommended. I advise against buying food here, it's expensive and not tasty! Some tank dresses are quite cheap, just tens of yuan, some will size you up and you need to be good at bargaining
3️⃣Tropical Rainforest
Nature's natural oxygen bar🎫55! Totally worth it to see the peacocks flying🦚! As the music starts, hundreds of peacocks fly out from the forest, the scene is super spectacular! After the performance, you can take a photo with a peacock📸20!
4️⃣Prajna Temple
There are too many Buddhist temples in Banna, this one is more niche! Free! The pure white architecture is different from the other glittering ones, feels pretty good for taking photos!
5️⃣Lancang River
I stayed in Gaozhuang, it's quite convenient to go anywhere! The hotel window opens to the Lancang River, romantic night view at a glance! If you come to play for a few days, you can splurge one night on a river view room haha~
🥢Delicacies
Peacock feast, mushroom hotpot, Thai cuisine... all are pretty good, sour and spicy, very appetizing, I love it! The mushroom shop staff will have a countdown reminder, quite considerate~ Gaozhuang's fruits are not cheap, but you have to know how to choose, the Musang King durian we bought was only over 70, and it was super delicious, the flesh was very sweet~
Zhongke Garden is too far, didn't go, leave it for next time~
I'm back from a trip around Yunnan, and I want to share some honest thoughts based on my personal experience
Here are some travel tips for you guys:
1. Don't go on a self-driving tour. The attractions in Yunnan are quite scattered, and parking is not easy. Driving yourself can be very tiring.
2. Don't join a tour group. There are many pitfalls with tour groups, and the pace is fast, so you won't enjoy yourself as much. Do your research online and you can have a great time traveling freely in Yunnan.
3. You must take a trip around Erhai Lake in Dali. Following the lake will connect you to all the scenic spots, and it's incredibly romantic and healing.
4. The food prices around Erhai Lake are quite expensive, so it's best to bring some snacks. When you're hungry, you can replenish your energy right away.
5. Don't go for the professional photography at the Gaozhuang Xingguang Night Market, as it's crowded and just a production line without much originality. You can rent an outfit and find many photo spots on your own.
6. Visit the Lijiang Ancient Town in the evening. You can see the charm of the ancient town during the day and the colorful lights at night, which are great for photos.
7. Definitely do not buy jewelry near the scenic areas. Many are fake imitations and not cheap.
8. Don't go to the Tianshengqiao Film and TV City. There's not much to see, and it's all about selling things, with heavy commercialization.
9. Book your tickets for the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain in advance, otherwise, you'll have to queue for a long time to buy tickets on-site.
10. Allocate a full day for the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain and try the glacier cable car, which takes you directly to the viewing platform at 4680 meters.
11. There are many airports in Yunnan. It's recommended to start at Kunming, where the transfer station is very convenient.
12. If you're not familiar with Yunnan, it's suggested to travel this route: Kunming - Dali - Lijiang - Lugu Lake - Shangri-La. This way, transportation is much more convenient.
13. Remember to bring your ID card and student ID. Many scenic spots require an ID card for entry, and student IDs offer various discounts.
14. Definitely do not trust the low-priced travel groups sold on the streets. There are many pitfalls, and you'll have more fun traveling freely with a good plan.
15. Don't buy the local specialties in the ancient towns. They are expensive and not tasty, and many are just one-off tourist traps.
16. The weather is very cold now, so make sure to wear enough clothes to avoid catching a cold from the trip.
17. Bring one or two bottles of oxygen and some cold medicine, especially when playing in the snow mountains, as it's easy to catch a cold. If you do catch a cold, don't go to the snow mountains again.
18. Book your hotel or homestay a day in advance to save time and for convenience.
☞ Accommodation recommendations:
Kunming: It's advised to stay near the Dongfeng Square subway station, which is close to attractions and convenient for travel.
Lijiang: The ancient town can be noisy, so it's not recommended to stay inside. You can find accommodations around the ancient town.
Dali: Staying near Erhai Lake is recommended, where you can see the beautiful lake and enjoy the romantic sunrise and sunset.
Shangri-La: Choose to stay near the Dukezong Ancient Town for convenient transportation and relatively affordable prices.
Xishuangbanna: It's recommended to stay near the Gaozhuang Xingguang Night Market, where you can find delicious food everywhere and won't be able to stop eating.
☞ Special snacks:
Rose grilled milk fan, tender pork ersi, Yunnan hand-grabbed rice, Naxi rice cake, A Cup of Dali, Xizhou baba, Dali jar jar milk tea, Guandu baba, tofu rice noodles, fire-roasted meat bean powder, butter tea, bagged tofu, Yiliang roasted duck, wild mushroom hot
About a three-day, two-night trip to Xishuangbanna
Xishuangbanna is really, really fun! For accommodation, it's recommended to stay near Gaozhuang, as most of the attractions are nearby—like the Starlight Night Market, the Primitive Forest Park, the Riverside Night Market, Manting Park, and the Total Buddha Temple. It's suggested to visit Manting Park and the Total Buddha Temple together, as they are connected, so you can check them off at once. The Forest Park and Wild Elephant Valley are adjacent to each other, and if you want to experience the Dai Minority Park's water-splashing, save it for the afternoon and bring an extra set of clothes!!! By the way, when visiting the Starlight Night Market, you must check out the music scene at the Six Countries Water Park's Dai Disco, it's really exciting!!! Highly recommended!!!! Also recommended is the Northeastern breakfast at Jinghong near Xiaoyu Nannuo's Dai-flavored BBQ!!! As a Southerner, I really fell in love with the salty soybean pudding!!! I ate it two days in a row, no joke, and the owners are super nice!!
A Trip to Xishuangbanna
🌴【Naga Hotel in Xishuangbanna】🏨 Celebrity-style enjoyment | Superb pool resort ⛱️

Eating delicious food and singing songs, traveling through Yunnan by train
Have you ever tried traveling through Yunnan by train? It's super fun and incredibly convenient, let's go!!
🚂First Stop: Kunming
Cui Lake is the most classic city landmark for every Yunnanese, where you can play with water birds and admire the flowers and plants, full of the atmosphere of daily life.
The Military Academy is engraved with the history of Yunnan's heroes and the blood of the nation.
Follow me into Lu Han's Mansion, chase the light and shadows, and feel the pulse of history.
🚂Second Stop: Pu'er
Taking the train is a very pleasant way to open up Yunnan, connecting station by station, and you can also enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way. Each stop is 1-2 hours apart, without bumps or detours, take a short rest, and arrive at the next stop full of energy.
Pu'er is a city known worldwide for its tea. Let's retrace the Ancient Tea Horse Road! First, take a boat to see the scene of cormorants fishing, which is exciting and interesting; in the scenery of lakes and mountains, there are also alpacas and deer to pet. Then take the cable car to the mountain, where the museum displays various tools used by the horse caravans, allowing you to fully understand the legendary culture of the horse caravans.
How can you not go to the Pu'er Sun River National Park to see the cute animals when you're here? The adorable nine-segment striped tail, the fluffy made-up dumbfounded face, in minutes, will make your heart ripple with tenderness.
When you have time, go for a stroll in the Ancient Tea Horse City, where huge sculptures recreate the horse caravan trade scene, and the lively ancient city is full of exciting performances, this is the slow time that belongs to Yunnan.
🚂Third Stop: Xishuangbanna
With Kunming as the center, the train radiates outwards, forming natural tourist routes, which are the 'rapid transit' between cities. Enjoy the leisure, spacious and comfortable, punctual and on time, unaffected by wind and rain, very convenient.
When you get to Xishuangbanna, babies curious about the tropical rainforest must not miss the Chinese Academy of Sciences Tropical Botanical Garden, where flowers and plants are lush and competing in beauty, everywhere are exotic flowers and plants, and every snapshot is a masterpiece.
Walking in Manting Park, you can see the layered Dai-style rooftops everywhere, and tourists in ethnic costumes, you will marvel that this is the Xishuangbanna in your heart.
The best way to open up a city is to become a local, let's eat delicious food, sing songs, and travel through Yunnan by train together!

Thai Banna Select designer Thai restaurant - The colorful coconut cake is very tasty and suitable as a dessert after a meal, and the seafood fried noodles and spring rolls are also good.
Thai Coconut Heaven Fragrance·Six-Country Cuisine - The curry shrimp is fresh, and the Laotian spring lotus egg is very appetizing and recommended to try.

❤️ Everyone has different preferences, and there are more ways to play that you need to discover and explore yourself~

Special forces college students spend two days and one night in Banna! Only 500 per person!
|||️ The game strategy does not include airfare!! Only food, accommodation, and transportation!!!
Besides Wild Elephant Valley, the distances between these attractions are not far. Generally speaking, taxis are taxis
It's cheaper to buy plane tickets and hotels together in the software!
Many photographers will ask if you want to take pictures, be sure to ask the price, be aware of hidden costs, and protect yourself!
Attraction Wild Elephant Valley 30 student tickets!! You can get close to the elephants, feed them, but the food needs to be purchased there, it depends on your personal needs. There is also a wild elephant science exhibition, where you can learn about the living habits and characteristics of wild elephants, getting close to them you can really feel they are big, but they are all very gentle.
Manting Park's backyard is known as the Dai King️, with a 40-ticket, you can see a lot of tropical plants and small animals, the architecture is very unique, the trees are very tall, the sun falling through the leaves is really beautiful! Here, you can see many tourists wearing Dai ethnic costumes taking pictures. Dai costumes can be bought in advance at the Starlight Night Market, a set for 51 is very cheap!
Starlight Night Market, the largest night market in Asia, is surrounded by the Mekong River in an arch shape, with the theme of the Big Golden Buddha. There are many vendors selling a variety of things, including tropical fruits, clothing, and handicrafts, as well as the Six-Country Water Market, which is mainly bars. Many young girls take pictures here, a good place to take night scenes!
Jinghong Big Golden Pagoda The central point of the Gaozhuang Shuangjing scenic area is a big golden pagoda, next to it are three temples dedicated to three Bodhisattvas. It is a representative building of Southern Buddhism, shining with golden light. Behind it is the Starlight Night Market, the entrance is free, but there are requirements for clothing, you need to dress neatly, and those with revealing clothes cannot enter. If you want to enter the hall, you need to donate 30 pounds.
🥯 Food Wild Mushroom Steam Pot Princess
Of course, when you come to Yunnan, you should try fresh mushrooms. The soup cooked with various mushrooms is fresh and delicious, the creamy yellow thick soup is very appetizing, and there are several kinds of mushrooms, such as hand green and lion's mane mushroom. The shop carefully places a timer to ensure that the mushrooms are cooked. After eating, you won't 'jump the villain'. Don't worry! A double set meal for over 100 can be satisfying!
Dai Princess Peacock Banquet River View Restaurant
Experiencing a peacock banquet with ethnic characteristics is a peacock banquet🦚 with a display shape, deep blue peacock-shaped head, noble and mysterious, the body is made of various dishes, such as hand-grabbed rice, Dai grilled chicken, grilled fish, pineapple rice, etc., with high cost performance.
Xishuangbanna | Starlight Night Market, a must-visit photo spot during the day
| Starlight Night Market, a must-visit photo spot during the day. I recently went to Xishuangbanna, and at night Gaozhuang is really crowded
It's all about taking portraits, with no space left
I want to say that the daytime is the prime time for the Golden Pagoda's ceiling
The Golden Pagoda during the day is more transparent, and there are very few people
Just a casual shot, and you get the vibe of a Thai vacation⛱
🚶♀Travel Tips
📍Location: Gaozhuang Xishuangbanna, Jinghong City
🚗Transportation: Airport/Train station — about 25 minutes by taxi
🎫Ticket: Visiting outside the Golden Pagoda is free, but entering requires a ticket
Photo 📷 Spots
✅In front of the Starlight Night Market street, facing the Golden Pagoda, you can capture the entire pagoda temple behind
✅Behind the bridge of the Six-Country Water Market, you can capture the entire Starlight Night Market and the Golden Pagoda
✅Next to the bridge facing the Golden Pagoda, there are two sculptures that look like tails
✅On the right side of the bridge facing the Golden Pagoda, next to Gaozhuang Lake, there is a charge at night, but during the day no one is around and you can take photos freely
Photo Timing🕐:
In the morning, the Starlight Night Market is basically empty, and stalls will start to set up around 4 pm, but it doesn't affect photography
From 5.0 to 6.30 in the afternoon, the light is soft and the sun is not so hot. If you go too early, you might get heatstroke.
This is my first time coming to Xishuangbanna, and entering this shop takes me back to Chiang Mai
I didn't take photos in Xishuangbanna, didn't visit the Big Golden Pagoda, and didn't even go to the Manting Park Buddha Temple.
The only two attractions I visited were two massage shops💆
Remember to go next door to Chonburi to get a number beforehand, otherwise, there will be no spots left after five o'clock! You must try their signature dishes: Tom Yum Goong Seafood Noodles - Chonburi Three Brothers (Milk Tea) - Lemon Sugar Chicken Wings - Black Tea Cotton Ice (I think it's tastier than the green tea😋). This is a shop I always check in at every time I come.
I recommend coming here to enjoy the cool breeze huhu.
The price is expensive, but the service and quality are guaranteed to be above standard.
The money is definitely well spent.
Especially the lotus root drink, it's really good👍🏼
1⃣️You must try the Thai massage at 'Come Enjoy the Cool Breeze'. It's a newly opened shop, so the environment and facilities are quite new and very clean. The shop is very suitable for taking photos and checking in,
2️⃣The price range for services is 100-500 RMB. After the massage, you can enjoy free self-service afternoon tea in the shop (there are a lot of varieties to eat - I was really amazed, milk, donkey-hide gelatin, red dates, longan tea, biscuits... very many). I recommend going around 3 pm when the light is good and the photos look great,
3️⃣First, have tea at the entrance and fill out a small questionnaire,
4️⃣Then go in for a foot wash,
5️⃣Go upstairs for the massage
(We booked a foot therapy, so it was one cubicle per session
There are also chargers, steam eye masks available for use),
❗️❗️❗️The most important thing is that the strength is just right, super comfortable, after the massage, my feet didn't hurt at all, and I could angrily walk a few kilometers,
6️⃣After the massage, go downstairs for desserts and drinks.
-
➡️Thai massage,
This super long-duration ancient Thai SPA made me experience the authentic Thai techniques, and my body and mind were completely relaxed.
A session of Thai essential oil SPA is what you need to rejuvenate your body and heal your soul.

The items sold inside are also very characteristic, but it is recommended to purchase according to personal needs, I personally think the prices are relatively high. The Dajinta Temple in Jinghong City with Dai ethnic architectural features is also very beautiful at night, and it is definitely worth a visit. If you like taking photos, don't miss this treasure spot
📌Small Tips: Xishuangbanna has a tropical climate, there are many mosquitoes at night, so pay attention to protection, there are many people in the Starlight Night Market, pay attention to personal safety and the safety of valuables
Xishuangbanna 4 Days 3 Nights Travel Guide
Just came back from Xishuangbanna, personally I think Xishuangbanna is really worth visiting.
I arrived in Xishuangbanna on March 5th and left on March 8th. I stayed for 4 days and 3 nights, and it was a fulfilling experience.
⭐ Accommodation; I booked half a month in advance. The first day I stayed at Xishuangbanna Jiangmu.377 Garden Private Villa, which is located in the largest high-end villa area in Xishuangbanna city. It is close to the riverside night market and is a resort hotel surrounded by quiet greenery and flowers, great for photography.
On the second and third days, I stayed at Xishuangbanna Yunbojuli Hotel, which is close to the Starlight Night Market. The decoration is very Instagram-style, with a popular bookstore on the first floor, a high-altitude swimming pool and a small bar on the 12th floor, all with a great design sense. Just taking a casual photo looks amazing. The hotel's 13th-floor rooftop offers a view of the Peacock Tower, and the night view is very beautiful! Plus, the price is cheap, and it's a great value for money.
⭐ Transportation: On the second day, we went to the Chinese Academy of Sciences Botanical Garden, and on the fourth day, we went to Manting Park, the Grand Buddha Temple, and then to the airport. We had booked a car in advance, which went very smoothly. On the third day, we went hiking in Jino Mountain. Since we booked a small group, the driver would pick us up from the hotel, so we didn't book a car for that day.
Our specific itinerary is as follows, for interested friends to refer to:
D1, fly from Shanghai to Xishuangbanna, check into Jiangmu.377 Garden Private Villa (Xishuangbanna Jinghong Splash Water Square store), stroll around the riverside night market in the evening, and solve dinner by the way,
D2, the chartered driver comes to pick us up at 8 am, we depart around 8:10 am to the Chinese Academy of Sciences Botanical Garden, arrive at the park entrance at 9:05 am, and immediately queue up at window 1. Luckily, we got the last guide, those who came after me had to wait. The botanical garden is divided into the west and east areas, one ticket allows entry to both areas, and you can buy the electric car ticket separately for 50 yuan each. However, if you hire a full garden guide, you must purchase an electric car pass. After leaving the botanical garden, we went to Manyuan Village. Many people say that Manyuan Village is very commercial, but I personally think the villagers are still very simple. Lao ice coffee costs 15 yuan per cup, papayas are 5 yuan each, different sizes, different prices, and the owner even helped us pick a big one, peeled it, and filled 2 large boxes with it, the taste was also very good, really honest. In the evening, experience Thai massage, wander around the Starlight Night Market, and stay at Yunbojuli Hotel (Xishuangbanna Jinghong Gaozhuang store),
D3, at 8:30 am, the driver comes to pick us up to go to Jino Mountain Baduo Village, the guide is already waiting for us. Hiking in the Jino Mountain rainforest, an unforgettable day, very interesting. After the hike, the guide also took us to visit Baduo Village, a very original village. Stay at Yunbojuli Hotel (Xishuangbanna Jinghong Gaozhuang store),
D4, the chartered driver comes to pick us up at 8:30 am, we visit the Prajna Temple, Manting Park, and the Grand Buddha Temple. Lunch is solved at the Lao ice coffee (Grand Buddha Temple store) in front of the Grand Buddha Temple, the environment inside the store is very stylish, and the food is delicious and not expensive. At 1 pm, we head to the airport, Xishuangbanna flies to Hangzhou, and we arrive home smoothly.
Six-day five-night brainless itinerary guide for a spring trip to Xishuangbanna
🌷Spring is a season full of vitality🌿 and hope🌱! After playing around Xishuangbanna for about five to six days, I came back and organized this budget-friendly yet fulfilling itinerary
DAY✈️Arrive in Kunming
Arrived in Kunming at nine o'clock in the evening, checked into the hotel to rest.
DAY Haigeng Dam➡️Daguan Tower➡️Starlight Night Market
Went to Haigeng Dam in the morning, fed the seagulls, then took the high-speed train🚅 from Kunming Station to Xishuangbanna. By the time we got to Banna, it was already afternoon. The hotel was in Gaozhuang, so after dropping off our luggage, we went straight to Gaozhuang. Daguan Tower and Starlight Night Market are close by, the Daguan Tower is sacred and dreamy at night, and then we went to the night market to stroll and eat. You know, at the night market, look more and buy less~
DAY Manting Park➡️Jinghong Buddha Temple➡️Mengle Great Buddha Temple
Came to Manting Park early in the morning, which used to be the royal garden of the Dai king, with a strong Southeast Asian atmosphere. The Dai king's palace and the royal garden are very photogenic, and there are free performances at the Elephant Park and Parrot Park. Jinghong Buddha Temple is a must-visit, connected to Manting Park with no entrance fee, very popular with worshippers, and the architecture is incredibly detailed and splendid. In the afternoon, we went to Mengle Cultural Tourism Area and visited Mengle Great Buddha Temple, which is majestic and truly awe-inspiring!
DAY Wild Elephant Valley➡️Tropical Flower Garden
Checked the guide in advance and it said that wild elephants could be seen around two o'clock in the afternoon. Unexpectedly, there were so many people, and we queued for nearly two hours to enter the park. Luckily, we saw a group of wild elephants around one o'clock, very lucky indeed. Later we went to the Tropical Flower Garden, which has all kinds of beautiful tropical plants, like a mini version of the Chinese Academy of Sciences Botanical Garden~
DAY Primitive Forest Park➡️Dai Nationality Garden➡️Mange Fruit Market
Went to Xishuangbanna Primitive Forest Park in the morning, definitely watch the peacock flying show, lasting 20 minutes, with a performance first and then the release, hundreds of peacocks flying down is very impressive. After the show, you can take a walk in the tropical forest for a while, and there are also Aini ethnic interaction, ethnic musical instrument performances, and water-splashing performances. The ticket price is really worth it. Then we went to Xishuangbanna Dai Nationality Garden, don't buy a basin from the old lady at the entrance, they don't allow basins inside! Inside, for 50💰 you can rent a locker + basin + Dai nationality clothes, splashing water is really fun! Later we went to Mange Fruit Market, bought some durian, small pineapples, coconuts, much cheaper and fresher than outside, took the fruits back to Kunming...
DAY Kunming old street and return trip
Slept until I woke up naturally, walked around near Kunming old street, ate and drank well, and then returned home~
Very happy, will come again...
The Culinary Chapter of Xishuangbanna~ Xishuangbanna Cuisine
I think the food in Banna has become somewhat mixed as the number of tourists increases, as it has to cater to the tastes of visitors from various places~ Speaking of Yunnan cuisine alone, it tends to be sour and spicy, which suits someone like me who loves spicy food. Moreover, due to the local climate, there are a lot of cold dishes, and it can be said that everything can be pounded~
Picture 1 Riverside Night Market~
Picture 2 Starlight Night Market~
Pictures 3 and 4 feature Paoluda, which is actually coconut milk with a bit of bread and coconut shreds, plus a few nuts. The taste is not bad, but it's just mediocre.
Picture 5 Cloudy Rice Noodles, located inside Gaozhuang, not cheap at 58 yuan per serving, the taste... not recommended. Suddenly I feel that the snail noodle dish I had the day before for 25 yuan was really delicious.
Pictures 6, 7, 8, and 9 Night markets can be seen everywhere, strongly recommend Lao coffee, which should taste like a latte, but not very sweet. The mixed fruit dish, hard to describe, maybe we are used to sweet flavors, adding soy sauce, vinegar, and chili is really strange.
Picture 10 The roadside stall next to the homestay in the morning, sticky rice. It's quite good, start with a serving of white sticky rice, choose your own side dishes, pile them together, the taste is not bad, but if made into rice balls, squeezed tight, I think it might be more convenient to eat.
Picture 11 is the Peacock Feast, personally, it feels very similar to Hainan's dustpan rice, the texture is also similar, worth a try if you haven't had it.
Picture 12 Rainforest Trek Meal, the Jino people carry it from the foot of the mountain to the rainforest, trek 5 kilometers to eat. Hmm, really delicious~
Pictures 13-14 Yunnan cuisine, lemongrass grilled tilapia, the taste is indeed a bit
uniquely fragrant, during the days in Banna, everyone agreed that the grilled fish was good, you can't go wrong with any choice.
Picture 15, I won't tell you that I was brought to tears by the spiciness at a roadside stall, really spicy, but super delicious~ I'm still savoring it now.
Meijiang Island Riverside Hotel,
Who says it's hard to find a good hotel in Xishuangbanna?💕
I came with my family and children, and at first, the hotels we found felt too ordinary, just like home🥺. My wife saw this new Chinese-style homestay with an incredibly beautiful lobby, so we booked it😙♪♪. After arriving, it indeed did not disappoint, the housekeeper was so enthusiastic, and we had a very happy stay~ For those who are planning to come to Xishuangbanna to enjoy the sunshine🌞, go ahead with confidence!
🌤
The Starlight Night Market is super close, with the famous Golden Pagoda just a 3⃣-minute walk away, and the ambiance of the decoration is great.
How to get here:
Gasa Airport and the high-speed train station are not too far from Gaozhuang Scenic Area, about a 2⃣0⃣-minute drive. If you contact the housekeeper🤵 in advance, you can enjoy free pick-up service from the airport and train station.
🌤
Nearby attractions🌳: Manting Park | Primeval Forest Park | Dai Nationality Garden | Wild Elephant Valley | Jinuo Mountain Village
🌤
The rooftop has an infinity pool with a safety fence, giving a great sense of security. It's such a tender moment to watch the night view of the Lancang River with your beloved one🌉. This is the scene I've been dreaming of!
🌤
This warm and romantic place with a touch of Chinese style has everyone asking about it in my circle of friends👩❤💋👩.
Pure white pillows and quilts make you feel at ease, and the bed is also very comfortable🛏. The weather in Xishuangbanna during winter is neither cold nor hot, around 26℃, which is just like a cozy little nest in a dream~~ There's also a high-definition Blu-ray network TV📺, and the toiletries are very complete🧴, including branded hand soap, body lotion, and other washing amenities❗ Super clean disposable toilet seat covers❗ If you're too lazy to go out, there are plenty of takeout options, and you can have midnight snacks delivered directly to your room, fulfilling all your vacation needs💯
🌤
Everyone, rush to this treasure of a hotel‼
