Today I rode to the Guomen Scenic Area. I had been there when I went to the Yalu River in 2016. Now eight years have passed and there have been a lot of changes. The scenic spot started charging admission fees, 50 yuan per person. The newly built gate of the scenic area is a Russian-style European classical building, and it is called "opening the lid of history." The gate of Suifenhe National Gate Scenic Area is based on the Russian railway station building designed by Vkonovalov and built in 1912. The gate of Suifenhe National Gate Scenic Area is made entirely of wood, with a main body height of 8.32 meters, a total height of 10.95 meters and a width of 21.20 meters. The main entrance adopts a triple arch form, with simple and heavy columns and exquisite appearance. It is full of Russian aristocratic atmosphere and is a landmark landscape of Suifenhe. There is an abstract shape of the Sui-Man Railway in the scenic area, and the capital 1527 on it is the distance from Suifenhe to Manzhouli. There are sculptures of the Middle East Railway, the first, second and third generation national gates, the century-old port stone carvings, the new and old boundary markers No. 357, a Russian-style supermarket, etc. There are more architectural facilities than the last time I came here. The first generation of national gate is just a simple manually moved railing; the second generation of national gate is a more modern building; the third generation of national gate is very tall and majestic. On the fifth and sixth floors of the Third Generation National Gate, you can see some Suifenhe photography exhibitions and overlook the Russian side. A new national gate is under construction. After leaving the scenic area, riding back was basically downhill all the way. Passing by Beihai Park, there didn't seem to be anything to see, but there were a few RVs parked there.

To commemorate the Chinese-Russian mixed-race girl Galya, who was brutally murdered while persuading the invading Japanese army to surrender at the Tianchangshan Fortress, Suifenhe citizen Sun Boyan, with the support of the Suifenhe Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government, presided over the construction of this large sculpture. Centennial Port Romantic Border Town Suifenhe. Suifenhe is the centennial port at the easternmost end of Heilongjiang Province, the only land trade port in China leading to the Yiben Sea, and is also known as a city brought by trains. There are many century-old European-style buildings here, with a strong exotic atmosphere. I quite like this historical border town. Let's see which places we have checked in. The first day, Suifenhe Guomen Scenic Area. This is the largest land port to Russia in Heilongjiang, where you can visit the only scenic area in China that spans the border, and it is also the only place in China's Guomen Scenic Area that integrates three generations of Guomen. The third-generation Guomen in the scenic area is as high as 51.8 meters, the highest national gate in northern China. It is 81.8 meters long, with a span of 54.1 meters, and has eight lanes in both directions. We have two elevators, and the main building is divided into 9 floors, symbolizing the supreme national dignity of the Chinese nation. The fifth and sixth floors are available for tourists to view and overlook, allowing a glimpse of the national style. The second day, Suifenhe Museum. This is a small comprehensive museum that showcases the long history of the port mountain city, the rich natural resources, and the prosperity brought by the reform and opening up. It is known as the pearl of the Black Soil Museum. Yintoulou, this square four-story building built in 1914, was originally a tea house for inspecting and storing export tea. During the occupation period, it became a consulate. Due to the prominent Western-style sculptures under the eaves on the third and fourth floors, it was named Yintoulou. The third day, the Middle East Railway Memory Museum. Suifenhe is a city brought by trains, and its rise and development are closely related to the railway. Here, through the display of relics related to the Middle East Railway, you can gain an in-depth understanding of the city's transportation development history. The white building at the train station was originally set up for Russian railway employees. When we went, the interior of the white building was under maintenance, so we couldn't go inside. After carefully visiting the century-old Xiada Yanikola Church, which was built by Tsarist Russia in 1898, it was also under maintenance when we went, so we couldn't see it up close. The fourth day, the Peace Angel Galia Memorial Hall. It is used to commemorate the hero Galia, where you can learn about his touching deeds and feel his courage and selflessness. The first bridge in the Far East, the centennial bridge, is located at the easternmost end of the Middle East Railway and was the earliest to start construction. It is known as the first bridge in the Far East. It is the only scenic area in China that spans the national border and the only one that integrates three generations of national gates. The scenic area includes 'two monuments, two houses, four gates, and twenty-four scenes.' In addition, there are other picturesque places such as the 'Great National Border Line,' 'National Gate Coordinates,' 'Best Photography Spot,' and 'Golden Water Bridge of the National Gate.' From the first generation national gate to the second generation national gate, and now to the third generation national gate, one can see the history and development of our country, and feel proud of the progress and strength of the nation.

Suifenhe is not a river! It is a city in Heilongjiang, a beautiful border mountain city adjacent to Russia! A century-old port! It's not big, you can measure the whole city with just a half-day walk. Walking on the streets of Suifenhe, you really feel like you are in Russia, with blond-haired and blue-eyed Russians coming towards you, and the road signs are in Russian. Mainly because the city is not very large, you can almost walk everywhere, which is perfect for citywalk! The approximate route is: Hotel → Maxim's Restaurant → Suifenhe Square → Rentou Building → Suifenhe Museum → Old Church → Monument → China Eastern Railway Memory Hall → Dabailou (Big White Building) → Railway Square → Leba House → Back to Hotel 1️⃣ Maxim's Restaurant Mainly for Russian meals, highly recommended by many people, mainly because the way to the restaurant is very beautiful! 2️⃣ Rentou Building 'Rentou Building' refers to the Chichagov Tea House built in 1914, which has a relief of 'human head faces' carved under the eaves between the third and fourth floors, hence the name. 3️⃣ Suifenhe Museum Walking down from the Rentou Building is the museum. The museum is not big, just register and you can go in for a visit. The whole museum building has a very stylish appearance. 4️⃣ Old Church The Eastern Orthodox Church of Suifenhe, located behind the museum, can be reached directly without going out, just walk around. The exterior of the church is bright yellow, very eye-catching. 5️⃣ Suifenhe Revolutionary Martyrs Monument Go down the stairs from the church, cross a road and you will find the monument, and there is a relatively large square. 6️⃣ China Eastern Railway Memory Hall As the most important station on the western section of the Middle Eastern Railway, Suifenhe is the train port between China and Russia, so the memory hall is quite worth visiting. The venue is not big, just register and you can enter. It closes for lunch from 11:30-13:30, so be sure to check the time, just like the museum above. 7️⃣ Xinhua Street Bridge You can see the train tracks. 8️⃣ Dabailou (Big White Building) One of the famous sites of the Middle Eastern Railway, worth checking in. 9️⃣ Leba House Walk about a hundred meters up from the Dabailou, and you can buy authentic large leba bread.
