As a huge fan of Benedict Cumberbatch, visiting 221 Baker Street is a must! As such I’ve found myself staying just 5 minutes away from the street during this trip to London. The Sherlock Holmes Museum is right next to the gift shop. You can purchase tickets directly inside the shop. My suggestion is to head to the museum first and then shop for souvenirs. The Museum has practically recreated Sherlock Holmes’ workplace and where he lived. There is a total of 4 floors to the museum, you can see his pipe, his top hat, his leather whip as well as the revolver you’ll see in the movies. There are tour guides, you’ll also see an open book on his desk, bouquets in full bloom. You’ll feel like you’re in the middle of the scene. It’s a pretty interesting tour, and about half an hour here is sufficient.
