You can take the water bus directly from Asakusa to Odaiba, enjoying the scenic views along the Sumida River. 🗓️ Itinerary: Start your day by visiting the top floor of the Asakusa Culture and Tourist Information Center to enjoy a high view of the Tokyo Skytree and Senso-ji Temple. Then, take the modern Hotaluna water bus from Asakusa to the shopping paradise of Odaiba. During the trip, you can go to the top deck to enjoy the scenic views along the Sumida River. After disembarking at Odaiba, kids can play in the sand and water at Odaiba Seaside Park. Then, head to the round observation deck at Fuji TV to get a view of Odaiba and Tokyo Bay. I reserved a cruise from Asakusa to Odaiba on a Friday in the first week of March through an online booking site. Booking online gave me the option to choose a better seat and priority boarding unlike those who bought tickets on-site, who were the last to enter the boat. The boat itself had a unique, modern design with glass walls and a glass ceiling, giving a full view of the river and city around you. It looked a bit unusual, but once you're on board, it feels really special. The cruise took place around noon, and the weather was perfect sunny and clear. The sunlight coming through the glass made everything feel bright and open. I took great photos of the Sumida River and the city skyline as we passed by. The ride lasted about an hour and ended in Odaiba, where I continued my day by visiting the Statue of Liberty replica, one of Odaiba’s iconic spots. I really enjoyed the whole cruise experience. It was calm, scenic, and a nice way to move between two great parts of Tokyo. It was definitely worth the money, and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable activity.

A fantastic experience at the Tokyo Cruise from Asakusa Pier! The futuristic and immersive design of the boats, especially the Himiko and Hotaruna designed by Leiji Matsumoto, often feels like stepping into a world of science fiction. The unique interior, panoramic windows, create the sensation of being inside a submarine, while still allowing you to enjoy the aquatic views. The opportunity to go on deck and take in the breathtaking scenery of Tokyo must have been a perfect complement to the adventure.

Tokyo is very easy to travel around. The exchange rate is very good. If you go with friends, everything will be cheaper. The people are very nice, polite, and orderly. I am very impressed.

When I went to Odaiba from Tokyo, I could have taken the subway, but I took a water taxi on purpose🛥️🛥️ ▪️Boarded on the Tokyo Cruise ▪️The ships you can take differ depending on the time zone ➡️I took the Emerald at 11 AM considering the time zone ▪️I made a reservation in Korea and went there⭐️⭐️ ➡️People who didn't buy tickets in advance were already lining up early but I couldn't get on the same ship because there were no seats ▪️It takes about 50 minutes ▪️It's so nice to be able to look around outside on the ship in between ⭐️⭐️You can take the subway anytime, so I recommend taking a water taxi at least once #TokyoTravel

Hotaluna is a sightseeing steamship designed by Reiji Matsumoto. The spaceship-inspired exterior creates a futuristic feel. Hotaluna was named after the mysterious glow of fireflies dancing on the Sumida River on a moonlit night. It operates at Asakusa, Hinode Pier, and Odaiba Seaside Park. It can be difficult to board on the day during peak season, so we recommend making a reservation in advance. On this day, we were able to see the boat depart from Hinode Pier. The rooftop deck is open from Hinode Pier to Odaiba Seaside Park. A water bus designed by Matsumoto Reiji, the creator of Galaxy Express 999. It connects Odaiba Kaihin Koen and Asakusa. The floor of the ship is arranged with chairs and tables like a cafe, but depending on the number of passengers, you may not be able to sit down. You can use a corner called a compartment for a fee, so if you definitely want to sit down, it might be a good idea to make a reservation. The cafe was not operating due to the influence of COVID-19, so I regret not bringing a drink. The rooftop deck is very pleasant when it is sunny, but after crossing the Rainbow Bridge and around Hama Rikyu, you cannot go up to the rooftop deck because there are low bridges all the way.
