#Top of The Rock Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
Feel like top of the world
With all the skycrappers all around you in Manhattan, what is a better way to have all in one view than to be on Top of the Rock.
Between Top of the Rock and Empire State Building, I highly recommended to view the city skyline from Top of the Rock observatory as you can see Empire State Building from here. On our visit (fortunately it was a clear day), we can see as far as New York Central park (North View) and even Liberty statue 🗽(South View).
We bought the General Ticket coming with an allocated time slot. So be on time and you will definitely enjoy the 360 degree view from the observatory flat-form at 70th floor.

Enjoy the best viewing decks of the Empire State Building and Manhattan!
To say that New York can view the Manhattan Building, not only the Empire State Building, but also the top of the stone is a very recommended choice, and even some people will love it more. For example, if you want to see the heroic posture of the Empire State Building, you must come here to see it! The observation deck of the Empire State Building can see the grandeur of Manhattan but does not allow you to see his own looks.
Top of the Rock is also a viewing platform that can enjoy the panoramic view of New York. Unlike the Empire State Building, there are two floors to watch, and there are air-conditioned seats for rest in the room, which is better than the Empire State Building. Comfortable, the flow of people is slightly dispersed.
However, the glass used around the observation deck of the lower level is protected, just a little distance between the intervals between each glass. So friends who use the camera to take photos may need to explore the interval of the lens so that the refraction of the glass will not affect the quality of the photo.
Of course you can go to a higher level, but the place is small but full of people. The day I went there was a bit uncomfortable. The visitors who came here didnt seem to be in the Empire State Building. The consciousness is basically that the people who occupy the side facing the Empire State Building will not move again. There are several people behind them who can only lift their cameras to shoot, so I am not on it. Stayed for a long time.
In addition to the view of the Empire State Building, there are also a variety of Manhattan high-rises, and more importantly, the scenery that cannot be seen in the Empire State Building is a green central park!
Best spot to see the concrete jungle.

Elevated Elegance: A Captivating Experience
Nestled amidst the iconic skyline of New York
rience at City, the Top of the Rock Observation Deck stands as a testament to architectural brilliance and breathtaking vistas. During my recent visit, I was left utterly awestruck by the captivating experience this attraction had to offer.
From the moment I stepped into the Rockefeller Center, a sense of anticipation filled the air. The efficient and friendly staff guided me seamlessly through the entrance process, enhancing the overall experience. As I ascended to the observation deck, my excitement grew with each passing floor, knowing that a spectacular panoramic view awaited me at the top.
For those seeking an elevated and elegant experience in the heart of Manhattan, Top of the Rock is an absolute must-visit. Whether you're a local or a first-time visitor, the combination of remarkable views, historical significance, and impeccable hospitality make this attraction an unforgettable part of the New York City experience.
On the peak of a steep rock.
In New York, there are many tall buildings that you can climb for a fee to get to the top and "see the world from a higher perspective". However, most of the rooftop observation decks have glass barriers. One major exception is the Top of the Rock observation deck at Rockefeller Center, where you can enjoy an unobstructed 360-degree view of Manhattan's skyscrapers. The observation deck is open for a long time, so you can go there before sunset and stay until after dark. The only trouble is that tripods are not allowed, so if you want to use a slow shutter speed, you have to place your camera flat on the stone platform, which limits your shooting position. It is recommended to arrive early to secure a good spot. When I went there last time, I started guarding the best spot before 4:30 pm and stayed until 9 pm to take night photos (I will post them next time). Even the security guard was surprised and said "OMG you're still here!!!"

#topoftherock is located at rockafellar tower. NYC city view from the top including good views of the empire state building.
Top of Rock - this is the peak that I vowed to conquer in this trip to New York. Other than the Empire State Building, the Rockefeller Center is also a landmark in the city of New York.
When it was first constructed, Rockefeller Center was an urban complex of 14 buildings and took up 3 blocks in the center of Manhattan. The Fifth and Sixth Avenue mark its borders from East to West;
West 48th Street and 51st Street mark its borders from North to South. It is south of New York’s Central Park. In the daytime you can get to the top of the building to look at the entire Central Park from above.
Because the Rockefeller Building was built with large limestone, as you climb onto the observation deck, you are above a mountain formed by a huge boulder. Calling this the top of the boulder is exactly what it is. Here, you can see Manhattan at a 360 degree angle without any glass panels between you and your view. You will get to see most of North Manhattan, in particular Central Park right next to it.
As the sun begins to set and the sun has yet to reach the horizon, clouds in the sky have covered some of the sunlight. Manhattan begins to be washed over in gold; a ray of sun at the west, coupled with a view over various high-rise buildings from various decades all add a sense of dreaminess to the view unfolding below. We have a very peculiar blazing sunset tonight. The New York sunsets are usually pinkish, so I hope to see such extraordinary beauty every day.
