On this trip I decided to focus on a detailed inspection of Kyoto - the city that has captured my heart. I stayed at the hotel I already love - Kyoto Universal Hotel Karasuma and was surprised how convenient and easy it is to get to almost any location that interests me. First of all, I was interested in temples. I wanted to visit as many of them as possible - from small shrines to grandiose ones. And it was the right decision. After all, temples, like another culture and religion, are something exciting and beautiful. And the views that open up in any of them are simply unreal beauty.

This trip to Kansai starts from the thousand-year-old capital of Kyoto. It combines history, culture and natural landscapes. Every corner is full of strong Japanese style, making you linger. 📍 Day 1: Arrived in Kyoto, went shopping at MALL After arriving from Kansai Airport, go directly to Kyoto Station, which is the transportation center of Kyoto and is surrounded by many shopping malls and hotels. After putting down the luggage, we immediately went to AEON MALL next to the station for shopping. There are all kinds of cosmetics, clothing, groceries, and many Japanese restaurants. It is a good place to take a leisurely stroll and prepare for the next trip. Of course, the last place you have to go is Lawson, a must-visit shop in Japan. You must try their tempura rice bowl, which is extremely delicious and will leave you with an unforgettable aftertaste. 📍 Day 2: Uji & Kyoto Must-see Attractions The first stop of the day is Uji, which is famous for its matcha and history. Then we went to Kiyomizu Temple, the most classic temple in Kyoto. Standing on the suspended wooden stage and overlooking the city view was particularly stunning. In the evening, we came to Gion, walked on the cobblestone streets, looked at the traditional townhouse buildings, and tasted Japanese specialties. The atmosphere was particularly charming. 📍 Day 3: Amanohashidate & Ine Funaya, experience the beauty of northern Kyoto Today we arrived in northern Kyoto and first headed to Amanohashidate, one of the three most scenic views in Japan. This long and narrow sandbar stretches across Miyazu Bay. The most classic way to enjoy it is to climb up to the observation deck and look at the scenery upside down. You will find that Amanohashidate is like a "dragon ascending to the sky." Afterwards, you can walk down to the sandbar and find a super beautiful beach with many people playing in the water. If you don’t want to go in the water, you can rent a bicycle, ride on the sandbar and enjoy the sea breeze. In the afternoon, we went to Ine Funaya, where we could take a boat to see the houses. I believe you have all heard of Uji Matcha🍵 This time we went on a day trip to Uji. In addition to enjoying the local history and culture, we also had to try the most famous matcha in Uji! Although the weather was not so good, overcast, but instead the whole thing became quite comfortable, light and relaxed, feeling quite good😄 First, we went to Equality House. Despite the fact that the sky is not very beautiful, the architecture of Byodo-in is really historical and completely representative of traditional Japanese architecture. When you enter the courtyard, you will see a large pond with super clear water. The whole building is reflected on the water, which is very classical. Those ancient trees and shady air were truly relaxing as they were separated from the world outside. After that, we went to Doen Tea House, which is the oldest tea house in Japan. When you enter, you can feel the ancient tea house atmosphere, which is very characteristic. We had a bowl of noodles and a portion of shaved ice. To be honest, shaved ice is really delicious! Unlike the usual rough shaved ice, the ice here is very small, the texture is super smooth, there is no ice shards when you bite, and there is a sweet taste, very happy after eating! Finally, we went to Kuemon Ito to buy souvenirs. This shop is just right. There are so many choices of matcha products. I bought some matcha powder back and some tea flavored snacks. Plus, their ice cream looks really super pretty, and while the taste isn’t that special, it’s visually appealing. The photo was taken beautifully!
